It wasn't Mazepin's fault but obviously he just had to be involved in something.

Indeed. I'm sure there'll be some who say an intelligent person would have backed off as he was out of position anyway on the circuit but yeah its hard to attribute full blame to him really. Latifi probably wouldn't have seen him in the mirrors.

Pretty sure Perez will cop a penalty there. Fairly sure you can't repass if you go off under safety car conditions. Not like the formation lap.

Mazepin really didn't do anything wrong. He saw a car returning onto the track and tried to use that to his advantage for an easy position gain, like anyone else would do. Can't blame him for Latifi going all the way from the left to the right without racing speed.
It's basically what would have happened if Hamilton hadn't jumped on the brakes when Vettel was a moron in Canada 2019.

Sorry for blaming you Mazepin, but it's still ironic that he's the guy involved again.

Max putting in fast laps. Wonder if the car's getting up to pace or he could be running his tires a bit hard to make distance.

Perez's penalty going to be a 5-second? Or does he have to concede positions back?

Edit* Oh, that was a quick answer by the race directors, lol.

Seems like the Red Bull is a solid wet weather car. The Ferrari seems ok as well, though it takes longer for the tires to heat up and is prone to understeer. Not a great performance from Bottas at the moment.

Checo under investigation.

Edit: Well that was a quick penalty.
