Formula STOCK GT5 F1 World Championship Season1/Win big prizes!!

Long day watching races, needed a sleep session, sorry about being threatening immortal, I dont bite. Just remember to make a clear home return address on my end of season prize... :sly:

EDIT: went to sleep around 6 PM, woke up and it was light out, thought it was 8 PM or something and the sun was still setting. Looked at my cell phone and it was 8 AM. :sly:

New 500 mile pace record at Indy yesterday, 2h 40min race, that's exactly 111 mph faster than Monaco after its red flag, I guess Indy car is a much faster, higher level series.

maybe you compare the gear changes :)
you'll maybe then notive that the tracks had little differences ;)

Monaco GP was so boring...

Rosberg was leading the whole race, without changing position. I blame the

TV-commentators for taking me through the whole Race.

Looks like Mercedes have gained an advantages after the 1000km testing with

Pirelli Tires. No doubt Red-Bull have protested

Red bull and Ferrari have protested it would have been ok but they tested with the 2013 car any test like that has to be with 2010 car due to the regs it did give them a a major advantage if you look at the tyre wear they normally suffer from and on such a high traction low speed track they should have dropped off very quickly

I thought it was a great race from 3rd on back. I'm relatively new to watching F1 but in my spare time I've been watching 70s-90s F1, early 2000s F1, and sometimes even recent races on youtube. The goal for me is to learn a little bit about GP racing.

Historically a typical winner wins by 30 secs or more, so the races we see now are freakishly close. If you look at one or two Senna's wins, he'd nearly lap 2nd place.

I've watched f1 pretty much since I was 9 so 20 odd years the last few years the racing has been very close but that's been a result of new rules and regs they bring in like the drs and kers system also the change to fuelling and tyre compounds makes for some close racing back in the days of senna Prost Nigel mansell is was a different class of racing where it was pure driving skill not how great your car is

Senna and Prost was before my time, I remember Schumacher as no. 1 back in the days :3.
Maybe I was a bit harsh in my previous post, by saying the race was boring, I remember Hutil was doing some great overtakes aswell.

I was trying to find an old F1 video from Monaco on Youtube right after the race from the 60's, but I had no luck. I have heard that one of the drivers crashed into the water :dunce:. Have you seen it Rich?

It happened in 1955 at the chicane out of the tunnel by a driver called ascari with is how the chicane got its name he misjudged corner and flipped the car in to marina.

Its always been about car, all the way back to Phil Hill's win with Ferrari in 1961. Back in those days though they didn't push or race eachother nearly as hard as today because its better to not end up dead!

During the early 90s through about 2008 F1 was fairly corrupt and perhaps the best drivers didn't have the right opportunites. I remember how good Montoya was in CART and he stood no chance against Schumacher, say I'm wrong but I think Montoya would have won a couple of Schumi's championships in today's age.

I think Mario Andretti had trouble late in his career with the changing style of racing....he found himself having to push harder and harder perhaps because drivers felt more confident in safety. I could be wrong but I feel Senna was one of the 1st drivers to truly feel invincible, that couldn've been one of the reasons he was so much faster than his teammate Prost at times.

For me Montoya was a great driver and you are quite right that the sport was very corrupt back in those days it's was all politics but looking at today's cars and teams it still is more politics than racing Montoya could have indeed won a championship given the right car thou I think Schumacher in the Ferrari was a force to be reckoned with.
I don't think senna felt invincible the film if you have seen it will show that with the amount of high speed crashes and deaths in that film

Immortal I think we should run Twin ring Superspeedway on Sunday instead. :sly: You never did post pts from Laguna.

Buraspo's not far behind me... Buraspo will you be doing my Indy 500 on the 8th? It'll be great fun, immortal wont sign up because he's worried he cant win (he doesn't take risks). :sly:

Eight World Championship Race Twin Ring Motegi 50 Laps
02.06.2013
19:00 UTC - Free Practice (optional)
20:00 UTC - Qualifying (if you miss the end of qualifying you can start from the back)
20:30 UTC - Actual Race

Hmmm....well as far as the positions go I know I was the last one to DC.... A tough situation for me seeing as how those closest to me on points didn't DC, and seeing as how I was ahead of Buraspo and on fresher tires before my DC too...

That said a strange race, I got blown away qualifying almost like my car had something wrong with it, then I did much better in the race. Almost felt like back in the winter of 2011/12 when we had that lag speed problem.

Yes **** DC Guys got it think on lap 44 4 Drivers got DC.
That sucks incredible.
I have noticed the first Laps also some Lags Car have feel strange.

sorry for shaky image , it look fine on camera :)

Excellent Buraspo, now we can have this godforsaken track in the books, we can move on to a brighter future. :sly: Whomever from Honda designed that circuit needs to spanked.

Very strange first lap was like I was in slow motion then all was fine then when everyone started d/c room started to lag again was turning out to be a great race

Hey and I'm really sorry about bumping you on the first lap. That was really stupid of me. My bad.

I qualified 2nd but in the first two or three laps, I must have spun like 5 times probably because of lag, perhaps I would have been a Team Artemis 1-2 ;)

Hi guys. It was fun racing with you last night. I apologise for the two massive shunts that I gave to buraspo and mustardaddict - I hadn't done much practice before the race (which I also apologise for) and obviously I had no experience racing with you two before either so I was just caught unawares by your braking zones. Sorry about that.

It was nice to win, but it was only an inherited victory, Immortal owned it before he DC'd, but I was looking good for second which I was happy about anyway. I got a little distracted by Team's pit window call on about lap 12 - I thought I'd missed something on the forum and had to make a pitstop during a certain timeframe so I was looking on the OP while driving on the straights to see if I could find what he was on about, I ended up going off a few times as result but nm - I guess he was just playing around XD
I'd hoped to go longer on those tyres but thought play it safe and follow buraspo into the pits, just in case I was breaking the rules.

Unlucky arty, I was surprised to see you down the order, looked as though you would have a good result judging by the quali. Maybe I'm a bad omen for you :(

Anyway, it was quite an enjoyable race and hopefully, if there's space, I can join you over the longer-term for more races. I see that you have a team thing going on but the only FGT I have atm is the blue one I raced with yesterday. If I have to change this, please let me know :)

You drove a great race aboe would have been a solid well earned second how I managed to stay ahead of you mustard till my first pit stop was anyone's guess.
Arty you had a night mare start I was tip toeing round trying to warm my tyres and come across you in gravel you were so quick just couple mistakes cost you
