Yeah I do. That would explain it. I've had at least $0.10 in my wallet since I started buying things from the store; so I never would've got that message.
Then it looks like you're correct. It must be an error with anyone that doesn't have a linked card.

Sorry for pestering on, was just trying to figure out what has happened!

Yeah, one of them being a grip modifier (+6% grip). I know someone else's single player experience doesn't affect mine, but the fact that they're adding features like this...

It keeps paste eaters and window lickers entertained, and sadly they far out number the group looking for a true sim.

No worries. :) I was trying to figure it out myself.

I know. It feels wrong that you can just put it on and BAM: more grip.

Most likely it is to help tuning the car for drifting or racing. Most likely everyone online will have the grip all the way up. Especially the players that auto tune their cars. It probably defaults to max grip for them. I am only guessing.

Mods aren't available for online racing. Nor will they affect Leaderboards (they turn every lap dirty).

I'm far less bothered about them knowing this.

The Mods are for career only. Also, no lap time set with any Mod active will appear on any leaderboard anywhere.
They really do only affect the people who choose to use them. There will be no difference in online play or leaderboards due to the presence of Mods in the game.

Edit: tree'd by Slip...

Haha, she's only 17 months old, so at most she'd mash a few buttons.
Oops ha ha, hope she feels better soon then. Can't install the demo because Forza 6 is queued in front of it. I've hit install now but it's slow going. Bloody hurry up Xbox.

Oh right for the campaign only. Perfect. I was getting "settings" mixed up with "mods".

uhhh No.3 on leaderboard in the Indycar at indy event :sly:

This game rocks, and the intro video gave me the chills.....

Dude.. I feel like hammering a wall down. I don't have a CC, and there is NO other way to download the demo except for entering CC info.

That is LAME.

Is it not asking you for credit card info? You probably have one linked with your profile.

The system is a bit of a mess right now. I initially clicked the demo and it took me to the US store and was prompting me for a credit card. I changed the store location to EN manually and my current card worked. It's ridiculous that you need a form of payment for a free demo.

Even as a big forza fan, I've gotta say the game is not a looker. Tons of aliasing, somehow it feels less clean than Forza 5. The handling seems much improved though which is a relief, since forza 5 was terrible.
Have you tried the demo yourself?

Im no tech geek and dont even know what aliasing is, but my jaw dropped a few times when i got to Sebring wet race.

Best news I've heard so far. 👍 I'll take a hit visually for that.

Thirty six minutes later and I'm still on sixty percent... this is excruciating. You can best believe I'm gonna download the full game overnight.

It switched back to installing the full game and I didn't notice. No wonder it was so slow.. what a waste of my life. Actually I was catching up with Marvel Future Fight so it wasn't a total waste.

So far my favorite part about Forza 6 is being able to go off track. During the wet race I accidentally got two wheels into the grass and I slid all the way across the grass into a wall, no longer does your car just lose all momentum and stop. It feels much more realistic this way.

At times it felt as if I was looking through a window when playing Sebring in the wet. Looks glorious, funny that was the track I hated the most visually in fm5.

Cars feel grippier, have no idea if that's more or less realistic, I've never driven a car very fast in real life.

Had to close the demo to switch from my controller to my wheel and NOTHING from my previous playthrough was saved.

Edit: Awesome, and the game crashed the second a passed the finish line during the Ford GT race.

Having serious download issues here in the UK. I set the demo away downloading, returned to the Xbox approximately 5 hours later, to find it stuck saying "Installing, 25%". I couldn't get it to resume, and then, it started automatically queuing itself even though there was nothing else downloading on the console. It eventually started giving me an error when trying to resume the download "sorry, that didn't work for some reason", so I had to completely ditch it and start the install again. Now, it's taken about 1 and a half hours to reach 6%. I would assume this may be down to massive server load on Microsoft's end due to high demand, but I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else.

My demo is puking out errors at 41% completion. I'm re-starting the whole download over again, hopefully it actually works this time.
