So this weeks Oddball Rally was a bit useless with S2 class cars that are not made for twisty rally tracks. Did it with a dirt tuned Jesko that I sometimes use for pr stunts 🤨

Maybe we'd get Tesla? GT7 got a Model 3 recently, and I question that motive. Oh wait... Elon and X.

But, then again, I would love to see a Model S Plaid, with its blistering acceleration.
0-60mph times:
  • Tesla Model S Plaid: 1.9s
  • Rimac Nivera: 1.74s
  • Lotus Evija: 2.18s
  • Lucid Air Sapphire: 1.89s
  • Nio EP9: 2.6s
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo S: 2.4s
  • Audi RS E-Tron GT: 3.1s

But realistically the Rimac and Lotus are much more about going far far above 60mph, an area which blows the Tesla away completely....

0-186mph (0-300kmh) times:
  • Tesla Model S Plaid: 16.21s (also seen 16.6s)
  • Rimac Nivera: 9.22s
  • Lotus Evija: "under 9s"
  • Lucid Air Sapphire: 15.2s
  • Nio EP9: 15.9s

So yeah, the Model S Plaid is fast, however the Lucid Air Sapphire is faster to both 60 and 186.
But the real electric rocket ships are the Nivera and Evija which go from 60-200mph crazy fast.

P.S. Damn, now I want someone to make this livery for the Evija:

Hagerty did a drag race between the Plaid, a Chiron Pur Sport and the Sapphire. The Sapphire actually won by about 2 tenths over the Plaid (9.1 compared to 9.3) as well as hitting 60 0.03 seconds faster (2.1 Seconds)

It'll be fun to see where the Sapphire ends up in terms of racing performance, rather than just straight line acceleration.

In FH5 at the moment, I am just over 1s faster around the Horizon Mexico circuit in a stock EP9 than I am in a stock Evija, and the Rimac Concept1/Nivera is >2s slower.

But then the EP1 is not road legal and has masses of downforce together with that 1300hp, whereas the Lotus has a focus on handling but is still a road car despite the 2000 hp, hence how it can go around a track quite a bit faster than the similarly powered Rimac. Still, the way the Evija and Nivera get from 150-300 kmh is mind boggling in game.

I expect the Sapphire to outpace a Taycan comfortably, but not to get close to Rimac performance on a track, of course.

@Edax 76 I used your A800 Fun Bug tune (share code 704 225 698) to win a dirt race, get a Kangaroo skill at Dunas Blancas and score 5 stars at Danger Zones for this week's #Forzathon.

I found it a little floaty on the steering, but otherwise it had more than enough poke to get the job done so thanks very much.

You're more than welcome, glad it worked for you. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

-'64 Plymouth Belvedere (Lots of super stock drag racing and NASCAR livery possibilities there)
-'66 Nova
-'68 Firebird
-Lucid Air Sapphire
-'69 GTO Judge
-Rossion Q1
-'62 Lincoln Continental
I'm happy with this update, lots of old muscle. Supposedly there is a car pack as well, which they haven't announced yet.

Lots of Petty liveries will crop up, I imagine, with the '64 Belvedere, which I will be ripping around the oval.
