The Creator Loop. 50 laps around the volcano crator in whatever you like. Can you lap the entire line up?

Been a while since I updated my Crayola Color Codes sheet, but I'm now adding new colors from the Fabrics and Star Brite series:

I had no idea you were doing this. I love it. I’ve bookmarked this post and will be using it a lot.

Somebody on the official Forza Discord asked how to do a race mode where you get eliminated when a number of seconds behind the leader, so I decided to try and set it up and make it work for 2 to 12 players. Introducing "Mind The Gap":
A flat out race to eliminate or be eliminated, with any driver caught a checkpoint behind the leader for more than five seconds removed from contention. The race ends whenever the leader finishes the race or when there's only one car remaining. Please mind the gap between the leader and yourself.

To the moon my friends. How far can you jump the little 2JetZ rocketship? It's a very simple challenge card but the car looks like a little rocket and I'm a big kid.

This is my tribute to the Bell X-1, the first supersonic plane, flown by Chuck Yeager in 1947. I spent 90 minutes on the “Glamorous Glennis” sticker on the nose, even though I know no one is going to spend more than two seconds looking at it.

Up high to down low. Race in gale conditions from the top of the volcano to FH5's hidden waterfall. Use any car you like, but it is a cross country race.

Enjoy.
I gave this a go in my Barracuda that was stock except rally tire and off-road suspension. It was long, but I liked it. I like that the gate placements gave a few options on how to take turns. It gave my under-geared ‘Cuda an advantage against faster machines.

Thank you bud, glad you enjoyed it. I do try and put my checkpoints in place using thought and not guess work (although I'm sure many would disagree 😂😂).

Most of the stuff I make is long as that's what I prefer. I'm not into massive endurance races but I do enjoy a good 30 minute race far more than a quick sprint.

Be a Nashtronaut and fly high. Take the Nash Metropolitan for a jump off the ramp at the main festival.

Tune and livery codes I'll put up tomorrow, it's late here in the UK now and I'm a sleepy boy.

Inspired by some of the raid events in the original Colin McRae DiRT, I decided to try making a long-ish Raid circuit event in the game.

The track uses the Reservorio Sprint as the starting point, and is a long half-tarmac, half-dirt race through the desert roads that run South and East of the main festival site. Depending on which race you choose and your choice of vehicle, expect lap times to be somewhere in the 2:30-3:00 minute region. The Stock Baja variant is probably my favorite due to the variety in trucks and SUVs that are available.

Pro Trucks: 1 Lap, Dry Season, Morning with Heavy Rain (Share Code: 132 754 265)

Pro Offroad: 2 Laps, Dry Season, Sunset with Overcast (Share Code: 943 868 422)

Stock Baja: 2 Laps, Dry Season, Cloudy Afternoon (Share Code: 798 480 024)

I will say, while the AI for the most part stays on the course and don't miss any checkpoints, this might be a race where you want to run it on an higher-than-normal difficulty. I normally race with Highly Skilled AI and I found myself gaping the pack roughly halfway through the first lap.

If you've been working your way through the new Hot Wheels expansion and thought to yourself "these races sure are great, but I do kind of wish there were some different rulesets to go along with them" then I have some good news for you! Here's four races from the early stages of the expansion, each with a different ruleset and range of cars to choose from!

So, I wasn't really satisfied with the new Spectraflame finishes they added to FH5. While I appreciate that they finally added a new finish type, the implementation really doesn't capture the metallic reflection and sheen of translucent candy color over a polished metal surface. It looks more like a glittery metalflake, like you see on dune buggies or speed boats. I tried emulating Spectraflame using semi-transparent vinyl over tinted polished aluminum to fuzz the reflections. Not sure this is the best approach, but I think they are more satisfying than the in-game implementations:

I made a couple more Dirt/Rallycross courses on the main Mexico Map. Honestly, I made them a while ago, but couldn't decide on the overall event makeup, and wanted to wait for the Impreza ARX Supercar to become available.

The first 2 events are located at the Horizon Baja Scramble next to the Baja Outpost. The track itself is a figure 8 circuit that uses the first "half" of the Baja Stadium complex. I also added a (non-mandatory) Joker section at the final turn that hopefully adds a little variety to the racing (and depending on when you go for it, provides a great chance to score some Triple Pass skills). The car count has been reduced from 12 to 10 to lower the chances of crashing into someone at the crossover (I intially went with 8, but that felt a bit too small).

Baja Nitro.png

Baja Nitro Dirtcross (165 640 201) - 5 Laps, Wet Season, Afternoon Overcast, Lap Times generally between 38-40 seconds.

Baja Nitro David Vs...David? (750 602 025) - 4 Laps, Wet season, Night Overcast, Classic Rally Cars vs. various Buggies.

The second set takes place on a modified version of the Horizon Mexico Circuit by utilizing a some of the unused dirt roads present around the track. The 2nd banked turn has also been "converted" to a dirt section. Both events are 3 Lap affairs.

Festival RX.png

Festival RallyCross Supercars (116 624 076) - Wet Season, Cloudy Afternoon, Lap times in the 1:00-1:10 area.

Festival RallyCross Classics (165 511 170) - Wet Season, Heavy Rain afternoon, uses most of the pre-2000 Rally cars in the game.
