Looks like the game now waits a few seconds before loading car models in lobbies. Sure to make scrolling through cars a lot more bearable.

The garage still seems to hang a tiny bit when loading in a car with a custom paint, just barely enough to be noticeable, but otherwise it's definitely an improvement now. Before I had to be very careful not to scroll through too quickly or else the game would freeze up and crash, but now I can zip down through the list and it keeps up just fine. Which is good, because now that the Great Unlocking has happened there's gonna be a lot more (soon to be forgotten about) projects arriving in there over the next few days.

I just hope the prize crates aren't forgotten about now that they don't give out cars anymore, because if they're reduced to just mods and basic driver gear, then their functionality as a credit sink is basically zero for me.

Garage thumbnails seem to load slightly faster. However, there's still that rotating animation when loading highlighted cars, and that part actually seems a bit longer and more frequent now. The fanfares made over this change were not really worth it. In other news, Forzavista still has that distracting row of dead "pixels" introduced in the previous sizeable update.

Turn 10's promises about improving the game in the coming months should probably be taken with a huge grain on salt... It's great that we can finally buy every regular car - like it should have been from the beginning.

Yeah, there's a few moments of hesitation if you don't scroll through fast enough, but other than that it's probably 50 times faster than it used to be. Cars with liveries or aero parts in particular take a little bit more time to load, but that's somewhat expected.

Well I still have gray boxes in the left car column, happens with some repeats in particular... Other than that cars take about 1 second to fully load and the scrolling looks and feel smoother.

I had to get rid of some more cars in order to accommodate the new ones as well as the locked cars that I can finally buy. I just need the 2 Forza Edition cars, (Ford Raptor FE and the Fiesta FE) and the Holden VL. The Holden is a Forzathon prize later this week, so why buy it now? The Fiesta is a prize coming up I believe. Which leaves the Raptor FE as the last car. Once I have gotten all the cars to get, I will sell or auction off all of the Trucks, SUV's, Forza Specials and the rest of the cars I won't use or don't like, (some old timey cars too). Once I have my garage pared down, I can start buying 2 of the cars I really want and enjoy. I tell ya, this 900 car limit is lousy. I wish there was a way to have 1000 cars.

I bought all the cars I didn't already have, so I'm down to just the Fiesta and Shelby Raptor FEs. My collector tier is now 45.

The Fiesta XR2 FE has been gifted.

Does anyone know what the bonus is? It just says 25% + 25% again but not on what track or conditions.

You, -Fred-, RPM Bibblefish and I are at 45. At least of the friends I have here from this site. I guess there isn't much more then right? I mean the last car won't put us over 46? Do you think we will get some hidden Achievement or bonus? For getting all the cars? or is this some sort of bragging right thing and "that's that" ? I don't want to hold on to all these trucks and such, just to wait for something that's never going to come.

I don't think there's any achievement for having all the cars, there never has been in the other titles anyway.

Mine says 25% Alps, so it's a track bonus for Bernese Alps
Hmm where do you see that then? For me it looks like this (see attached file), similar to so many FE cars without a clearly indicated bonus. For a few cars it works though. I’m on Xbox One X BTW, maybe on PC the layout is a bit different.

Okay that's good to know, because up until now, I've never purchased all the content before. I just wanted to ensure I got "all I paid for", and wasn't cutting myself short.

I think the collector's tier will continue to go up as long as you can put more cars in your garage. Or at least add more points. You could sell everything and buy like 900 Buggati Chirons or whatever is the highest collector points car in the game and your collector tier would pretty much have to be maxed out at that point.

Mine is X-Box 1. And it shows like yours does, except for the bonus 25% Alps. But I see your indicator there, which means you're in the car. Try getting in another car, and viewing the Fiesta again? Otherwise you got a glitch

Nah, it says "your collector score will not go up because you have already collected this car" at the Level Up/Prize bonus screen. So doubling up on any car, doesn't increase your collector score at all. Because if that was true, mine would be over 50 as I have 2 or 3 of nearly all of the FE cars. It just goes up based on the cars you have once. (and that also doesn't include Specialty Dealer cars with the limited serial numbering).
I am glad, though, because now I can get rid of the vehicles I don't want to race. To me, the trucks are a waste. Why have a Track based Racing game and include vehicles that are specifically geared for Off-Road? They totally belong in Horizon 4. In my opinion, you can throw the SUV's in that category as well. I realize that there are people who enjoy that type of racing too, and I may even be in the minority. But that's how I feel about it. Track based Racing for performance based vehicles.

I dont really like the trucks personally, but I definitely DO love some of the old crappy non-performance cars. I would be unhappy if the game was just performance cars, so if trucks/SUVs are the price i have to pay for my weird vintage iron, i'm down with that.

Seriously that is so weird. I checked on my old standard Xbox One as well and selected another car. It’s still the same, I either see it completely, or only the % CR, or even only the %. And my old Xbox One has even been factory resettled very recently and reinstalled a few games from scratch. So it should not be because of the local install. Maybe it’s a game or Xbox OS language issue? I believe I’m on English UK selection.

Below 3 screens of the various ways it shows on my old Xbox

My next level up prize is the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR for 0 credits. Refreshing to see something different. :)

Scrolling is definitely faster in the garage, but loading times only seem marginally faster, if at all. I had hoped for a more thorough overhaul.

I feel like the cars have a ton more grip now, both on turn in and exit. I'd feel the car start to slide, counter a bit, then it would pull me right into the wall as if I'd countered too much. It feels different than what my muscle memory is used to. Anyone else feel this?

No, I don't.

Update is nice, so far. For one, the car selection is much, much faster. Though, there is still some load time when highlighting a car, but scrolling through the manufacturers was the annoying part, which is now fixed. I do still see some minor glitches, like the car color not matching the "picture" of the car in the car selection menus and a graphics glitch or dead pixels on the bottom of the screen in ForzaVista.

Love that I can finally drive locked cars. Spent some time buying up all the cars I missed out on, which feels like a new car pack all on it's own to me.

As for the actual car pack and 2 free Porsches. Love them! Pleasantly surprised with all of the cars, especially the Mclaren and I'm not even a big fan of modern supercars. Noticed that the decal on 991.2 GT3 RS is just copied over from the drivers side to the passenger side, so the decal isn't correct. It has a space where the door gap would be on the opposite side of the car.

FM7 slowly became a good game to me and I am really enjoying it again. Still not perfect, but hard to complain now.
