All of this sounds great. I'm glad they've taken this approach to fixing what's there now and not in passing come the next release.

This fact right here is why I ended up giving Forza Motorsport (not just FM7) another chance. When they started laying down their plans to rethink and fix Forza 7, I of course had my doubts. Having been completely let down by Turn 10's original ignorance to the fanbase, I ended up uninstalling Forza 7, vowing never to play it again. Once I saw that they were actually sticking to their guns and rolling out major improvements (unlocking all of the cars in the dealership for one!), I (albeit hesitantly) reinstalled it. Loaded it up, and was instantly hooked. Again.Thank you so much T10!.... for not ditching FM7 in favor of the next Forza.![]()
Yes this addition right here is one of the best things for freeplay, although there's a couple more needed ( the infamous homologation being optional). But I can't tell you how many near perfect race set ups I've came up with only to either forget the setup due to a plethora of options or to get different results every other time. And the fact that we can save up to 300 of these? Impressive **** to say the least.Something I overlooked until reading the overview article is the ability to save race settings. Apart from the lack of blueprint this was my biggest gripes with free play so I'm happy to see it getting addressed since it's hard to remember all the settings required to get certain grids.
Now we just need blueprint so I can give this dead horse a break.![]()
Lucky you! Such a beauty!Yay new Aston, saw it at a RM auction last year for car week has the same livery too.

I'm liking this concept, too. I mean, it's really just the "one free car per DLC" they've been doing, but the free car has been the highlight, not a dullmobile they had to license and use to get to the good stuff. And they've built showcases around the spotlight car which has made it even more fun.Spotlight cars are even a nice bonus nobody saw coming.
It's for the ForzaRC Pro-Am thing that's been running for the past month and a half. It was the Mustang IMSA car we got in June. Put in your fastest lap around Road America and you get rewards based on a whole bunch of criteria. There were 16 possible rewards. I got 13.I’m guessing these are for rival rewards?

I believe, in the race settings, you can set the rules to "Any" class to avoid forcing you to homologate a car in Free Play. One more thing I would love to see is to be able to race (free play) in a car class (not class A, B etc but class Modern Muscle as an example) without having the homologation rules being forced on you.
Yes but then I also get “Any” opponent and not the ones in my class.I believe, in the race settings, you can set the rules to "Any" class to avoid forcing you to homologate a car in Free Play.
I misunderstood, but I see what you mean now. I agree and also that would be nice if the AI scaled to my PI like it is in the Horizon games (Horizon 2 I think, but not 3) if I recall. I really don't like the homologation system in FM7.Yes but then I also get “Any” opponent and not the ones in my class.
All I want for example is to be able to drive a stock classic muscle car against other classic muscle cars in free play. I mean... it’s called “free” play but yet it’s so restricted.
Optionally it would be even nicer if I could also choose for the AI drivatars to scale their PI to mine and not to the top of the class or homologation class.
I believe this is a bug because if you look on the options and the first one that says allow upgrades, you set it to NO but then select a division it resets it to YES. Super frustrating smh. Just let us race stock cars within each division, it honestly can't be that hard to fix.Yes but then I also get “Any” opponent and not the ones in my class.

Yes indeed, you can not restrict the division and force no upgrades, it’s the homologation code that probably forces the upgrades to yes as soon as you select a car division.I believe this is a bug because if you look on the options and the first one that says allow upgrades, you set it to NO but then select a division it resets it to YES. Yes indeed, it is very cumbersome though. But, this is maybe an area where the ability to save race setups for free play come in handy. In that example from the muscle cars above, if you indeed filter on cars from the USA from the late 60s to 70s, FR config etc.you can set up the free play races with ai stock cars and keep them limited to a certain type if you change all the other filters which is pretty time consuming but it does work. i used the power and weight stats along with year manufactured to separate out group 5 and gto at one point so it should be possible to do similar with classic muscle. you can also set up multiple buckets with different cars if wanting to feature a wider array of cars
