I hope this gets added soon. I miss tuning my cars for these particular events. :(
Me too. I was happy to hear that we got an open B-class rivals event, so I jumped on that as soon as I got home. Managed a pretty alright time with an MX-5 that was more than squirely lol.

I'm indifferent about this though, because I just don't like the fact that I'm going to have my garage filled with cars at different levels inbetween a specific class.

I hope there is. The crashes to dashboard, etc are getting annoying. :( even on xbox one I can`t play more than 1 hour without having the game freezing and sending me back to the xbone dash.
That’s weird, I haven’t had any crashes that have booted me back to the dashboard. I really don’t recall any freezes I’ve had. The only time it seems like it may freeze for me, is when I level up and get my rewards, then hit continue. It is slow at times, especially when browsing my cars etc.

I've only saw crashes when browsing the garage, paints or wheels all three of those can send it to the desktop on the pc.
a couple of times I have had it crash during a race but still not sure if that was a fault of Forza or something else as my pc restarted afterward and there was no indication of a Forza related error in the logs on those occasions. The last time it happened turned out not to be a crash at all but power saving feature of windows turned off the screen when it came back up Forza was still in the race paused waiting for me to continue.

Apparently when driving a full throttle car on an oval for any length of time it can trigger sleep mode as the PC does not detect any user input from just turning the wheel and holding the throttle down. Pressing any button key or moving the mouse from time to time during the race prevents it.

Is their a patch today?
Officially, one should not expect patches outside of DLC releases, and they happen on the first Tuesday of each month.

There might be more frequent updates during the first few months of launch to take care of stability issues, but they don’t have an exact schedule and can’t be relied upon.

The exception is usually when there is a money glitch of any sort. they usually patch those out ASAP

  • Anything that can crash the game is Priority #1.
  • Any major exploits that can be patched at the same time as a top priority task will often get done at the same time.
  • Any remaining updates are whatever small bugs, issues and quality of life improvements the development team was able to fit in in time.

The "Rewards glitch" was both an exploit and a game crash issue, therefore it was going to be the first thing to get taken care of.

The "Ram Runner method" was a simple fix that they could do at the same time, as whoever designed those initial bonuses clearly didn't forsee how players would use them.

I just made the mistake of updating to the fall update and Forza will not load. Complains about missing media features pack. I had already installed this on my system but apparently the update is not compatible with the 1703 version and there is no version available for 1709 so can't get the game to work and have to roll back to previous version.

So take note if you have the N or KN version of Windows 10 do not apply this update before they release and updated media features pack to go with it else Forza will not launch.

I just did the race he listed, with the Audi, and he is infact telling the truth. There is very much something wrong, it looks terrible.

Thanks for testing. I also tried this in Free Play mode with the same selections and the FPS drops are there, looking at the side mirrors, it's terrible. Maybe the cockpit of the Quattro S1 is too detailed.

If folks wish to test without going thru trophy mode:
- Free Play mode
- Audi Sport Quattro S1
- Hockenheimring /rain, Max drivatars, circuit race, Rally Heroes division
- Switch to cockpit view (even when it's not raining in the beginning, fps drops galore)

Does it happen with any other vehicles in that devision? I've yet to give anything else a try.

I found a couple of Totinos codes. One on a single pizza and another on a 40ct pack of pizza rolls. So I've got the first suit and the first Huayra. So to get the second suit and Huayra, I just need two more codes? Or do I need codes from specific products?

Finished the FDC last night, and all the short showcase events in "Elite".
Total driving time: 29h (sans 6-7h for online, freeplay, and rivals)
Cars: 201
Tier: 17
Level: 91

It didn't take as long as I initially thought it would, fortunately I still have over half of it to complete.
It looks like around 120 hours to obtain 700 cars at the current rate, maybe the auction house will speed it up a bit.

I'm currently thinking this is the best career mode of any racing game I've ever played.

I finished the FDC last week. Today I finished all the races in the Seeker Championship. I was hoping it might unlock the locked cars in Tier 1, but no luck. It did unlock more showcase events in the higher championships. I have 215 cars (four bought regularly, six bought from the specialty dealer, the rest as awards/rewards). I'm level 170, tier 20. I'm thinking this might be the first Motorsport game where I finish all the championships.

Since I can't check on it for a few more hours, if anyone has finished even the Elite divisions and received the prize cars for completing everything, can you sell them or do you just have the option to remove them from your garage? Seeing how the prize car for the Breakout division is the FE Maserati and that I've already got one thanks to T10's VIP screwup, I don't really need a second one...

Even if you can't sell it, you should be able to auction it once that's up and running.

I'm currently working on the Elite Masters. Should be done with it in a day or two then just have the Elite Cup to go. I am up to somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 cars now I think.

What is it with the Assist lights on the rev counter speedo on screen? I have Traction and Stability Off and whenever I start the game up all three lights are displayed until I set them On and Off. As far as I can tell, they are actually off.

Did the Sebring 300 yesterday morning... yawn!! Only excitement (aggravation) was lapping the other cars (on my preferred Drivatar setting). Getting spun out on occasions did result in some successful retaliations to relieve the boredom. With the various excursions caused by the AI it took 3 hours!

I now have 6 Reward cars to buy. I wonder if there is a limit on these, as the next discount is on the Porsche 718 and I don’t have the money for it.

Working through the second round of events in the Drivers Cup. At least I finished the Showcases, though I think there is an Achievement for doing the Spa race on the Long setting (which I think I can finally remember how to achieve). Another potentially boring time I suspect though the track is a little more interesting than Sebring.

Is there any Plan for Turn10 to have a Safety System or some sort of licensing for online racing? I feel this is what's missing out on that game. I would like to see something along the lines of PC2, iRacing or GTS.

I really like that game, it's rich content wise and drive pretty good too however most of my online races are just cluster**** and if you actually stick up with it, 3/4 of the drivers leave the lobby and there's only a handful finishing races. Multiplayer is plagued with people that doesn't give a damn. This scream for some sort of Licensing

Leagues have an a liscencing system of sorts, but leagues aren't available right now.

Sadly, after finally playing some multiplayer now that more hoppers have been added, I've been able to realise how much of a terrible experience FM7's multiplayer is, and I'm not talking about other players behaviour. To put it simply, it's absolutely broken. In the past couple of days I've been trying to race in the 'Breakout Hopper'. I say trying because I can't have more 2-3 race without a game crash or the race starting without me. The wait time in lobbies is ridiculous, yet you have practically no time at all to choose a new car or tune, as after not long all options lock as the race gets ready to start. The cars sitting in pit lane looks cool, but wasn't necessary and I feel that is a cause for all of the wait times. First you have to wait for the lobby to connect, and then you have to wait for the track and pit lane to load, and then once that's done, you have wait even longer for the actual race to start, if it does that is. Often I was waiting in the lobby for the race to start, just to have the race start without me. Taking away spectating also means I don't really any accurate way of knowing how long is left, apart form the laps completed counter. I don't know if there's only a limited amount of tracks available in the Breakout Hopper, but it feels like I'm just doing the same tracks over and over. The amount of times I've raced on VIR and Sebring is a little beyond overboard. Once the race starts everything seems well and good. The new caution ahead system has been working quite well and everything is much like your typical Forza online (Crashers included). Once the race finishes, my dislikes come back. When the race is finished, you hardly even get a chance to look at the race results and times, as once the 45 seconds it takes for people to finish is up, the game completely moves on giving you practically no time at all to check the results. The next screen it takes you to only has the option of going back to the lobby or saving the replay. This screen would've been a much better choice to have the race results as you can actually skip this one at your own pace.

It's frustrating to know that the multiplayer experience is so bugged and below average for a Forza game. It feels incredibly rushed and untidy.

LumpiestFish's right on most of his points. I really hope Turn10 will work around the clock to improve multiplayer and lobbies. I am not sure how much they usually update and support post release as is it my first Forza since motorposrt 3.

I do get ALOT of crash to desktop (PC) right when the game is trying to start the race and load all of the cars. I also agree the "Pit Lane" menu is completely unnecessary and I feel it makes the loading/stuttering much more worse. Id rather stay in a simple menu with simple car pictures instead of loading all of the cars in full details.

Atleast the actual lobbies works and I can connect & play without any lag unlike PC2 which is still suffering from bugs & lag

That's what has my curiosity peaked.
I'm positive the Xbox version isn't perfect either. For example, restarting a rivals event always freezes my game, and I have to manually quit and restart the game.

I'm kind of glad that I didn't spend money on FM7 right out of the gate, especially with the bugs that have been cropping up here in this thread, plus what I am going to assume is terrible performance on non-X or S Xbox One models. And of course, I have a standard Xbox One.

Granted, I spent my money on PCARS 2 which has its own litany of problems, especially on PS4, but still. Both FM7 and PCARS 2 seem to be either poorly QA'd, or pushing the systems to their limits way too hard.

Can confirm you can't sell it, you just have the option to remove it from your garage. Oh well, auction house it'll be.

It's actually pretty good all things considered. I've had the odd stutter here and there but nothing major or gamebreaking, I'd say a drop of 4-5 fps maximum for about a second. The biggest hurdle to me are the loading times, they're quite long, but otherwise it holds its own better than PC2 seems to be doing from what I've gathered in that section of the forum.

Quite possibly my closest ever finish on Forza

I just played multiplayer for 5 hours.

List of bugs and glitches I encountered:
1. Can't tune, and can't download tunes. Have to leave the room to tune. :/
2. 2-3 times a single car got a 3-4 second jump start on the rest of the field, not really sure what happened except they drive away when everyone else's countdown timer starts.

That's it.
Some really good drivers, and some really bad drivers. Very much like GT5 and GT6 around release.

I haven't heard anything about original Xbox one's having extra issues.
