My goodness. I hopped on forzamotorsport.net and the people on there are on such an uproar on there. I can't really blame them though. All they really want is communication and they aren't getting it. They got it with the VIP fiasco and they were happy.

I'm starting to think that the console with get a pretty big update on/around that first week of November. That's probably why they aren't saying anything. Maybe a NDA and they can't really talk about what's on the patch until the patch releases with patch notes.

I think T10 is currently heads down focusing on the Xbox One X launch. FM7 is pretty much the key launch title and has to be polished. 4K native resolution at 60fps is really pushing things, after all.

Which is true. That's why I'm thinking an update will be dropped that first week of November, if not the 7th. Quite a few people are starting to think Turn10 just took their money and ran with it. I don't know why people think like that. They need time to get things straight. They quickly fixed that XP glitch..that was something easy.

Everything else that's messing up and crashing the game, takes time. Plus on top of that, they're getting ready for the X also. These guys aren't machines running 24/7 and can fix a problem on a whim like many wants. They have families and need to wind down from a long day and needs to be able to get a good night sleep so they can have a fresh brain to work on these issues.

Maybe I'm in the minority with my thinking, but I'm not just gonna lose my cool when something don't works right at launch. I just wait to see if it will be fixed.

The problem is people seem to think these fixes are easy, just like with the glitch fix you mentioned and changing of the bonuses on FE cars. You have Steve the wanna be programmer who has done some Java or C+ programming and thinks it an easy fix.

On top of that a lot of people there are posting for the first time just to complain and still others are losing their patience. Those that attempt to be positive or defend T10 are labeled as fanboys and to be honest, the newcomers and complainers over there have really started to make the veterans stop posting. I myself now tend to lurk now more than post over there.

I posted in the thread about how often does FM7 crashes, but to only ask a question. I was wondering when did people get their copy of the game.
I only asked that because I wanted to see if the timeframe of getting the game and getting a patch has anything to do with crashes. Almost like how GT6 was after 21 updates. The game would freeze during the updates, and you'd have to restart your console or something. I know a friend that had to go through that. I had to wait 2 weeks for him to play GT6.

While I can understand annoyance about things not working, it's hardly worth it to throw a fitty about it. There are issues, they'll be fixed, and it takes time to fix properly. No amount of complaining will make it go faster. I'd rather have them spend a few days/weeks extra and get it right than release a patch now that brings more/other problems. There's always other stuff to play in the mean time. :)

I've had my copy since early release, it's a physical copy. I've never had it crash, except when everyone was having issues with it launching, which has since been rectified. I would imagine hardware age and such has something to do with it to, my Xbox One is maybe two years old. I've experienced a few bugs, but nowhere near the amount people claim there are on a regular basis.

I agree, I'd rather them fix a bunch of things at once rather than piecemeal it, but I'm not going to not play a game I enjoy simply because they haven't implemented features yet, that's just silly.

To be honest, I'm usually online with friends and only play Forza for about an hour or so anyway.

That wasn't a glitch. It was an exploit. A glitch impies something broken in the game that people take advantage of. The game was working fine. The designers just didn't take into account that the Ram FE could be used to quickly raise your collectors tier a lot faster than they intended.
Is there a way to remove the watermark on the pictures?
No, not unless you're willing to edit a couple pictures together. Take one picture, then rotate the picture exactly 180 degrees and take the same picture, just upside down this time. Then edit the two watermark-less halves together to get one pic with no watermark.

Hi guys. Sorry if this post is out of place, but having cancelled my order for the GT Sport collectors edition, I am now looking to invest in other racing games, including Forza 7.

What I want to know is, is the game well optimised on PC? i.e. Does it crash every five minutes like what happened with me and Horizon 3? I really wanted to like Horizon 3, but the constant crashing has made me doubtful about Forza games on PC. I want to know from you guys whether or not Forza 7 is different?

I think it's more about the increasing trend to release games that don't quite work properly yet, planning on patching fixes in later, that's the problem.
It used to be a death sentence for a game to have too many bugs or issues, so QC was a lot higher. Now you just shove it out the door and patch it later.

I'm not bitching about FM7 bugs and glitches, because I'm not experiencing any. (hardly)

Meh. PC seems to be the "bad version" at the moment, although there seem to be a few people enjoying it regardless.

I had a few freezes on Xbox, but other than that I haven't had almost any bugs/glitches/issues.

Now that I have almost completed the career mode I am a little bummed to see that those 4 cars they gave us as a VIP apology are 4 of the 6 you win for completing the Elite sections in career mode so now I have 2 Jags, 2 Camaros, 2 Maseratis and will have the 2nd NSX once I complete this last series.

The cars can not be sold so it is a bit of a let down now as it is like not getting a prize for completing the events. Hopefully we will be able to sell them in the auction house when it comes online.

It is not that bad unless you are a painter or really like looking through the wheels or the garage. Those things can cause a crash pretty quickly especially if you are running with 8gb ram.

My biggest issue playing on the PC is that Indy and Daytona tracks have issues after playing a while. Indy is by far the worse, both the road course and the oval, not sure about the Daytona road course. The ovals though Indy starts to have issues after about 15-20 laps and Daytona after 50 laps both require a restart of the game to get back to normal. Thus far these are the only tracks I have had a major issue with. I ran all the endurance races in career mode and all were flawless, maybe a slight stutter a time or two but nothing worth mentioning.

I hear the Porsche from the demo drives completely different in the full game than it did in the demo.... Is this true? (I don't have Forza7)

Yes, It drives pretty well in game, a bit of lift off oversteer but very manageable, I would think it would be easy to control if using STM which the car probably has IRL

Did you try the free version of Forza 6 yet? Could be a good time waster until the gremlins in Fm7 are fixed.

Also, anyone else having problems with Daytona? When I try the 50 lap variation at the end it just skips to next race or main menu and I don't receive any rewards

Well it depends on what you do in game at the moment. I have had very good luck racing the crashes occur when browsing wheels, paints and the garage. I've logged about 140 hours on it so far and am almost done with career mode and multiple free play races. so far I have had it crash to desktop maybe 6 times 2 when I tried to quickly tab over and select a car from the garage. 2 when browsing through the wheels and the other 2 looking at various paint colors.

Once I had a crash while racing but I think that was caused by something other than Forza as it forced my PC to reboot.

There are a few other things going on with the game right now, Tunes only load properly if you do it from the main menu then my tunes. Sometimes the game will hang while saving a tune or a paint. Pretty sure this is caused by a memory leak which is the same reason for the crashes which I would imagine happen more often if you have less ram. I have 16gb in my system and now that I know what causes the crashes have not had one in days.

The game is fun and worth picking up even with the current issues.

I have ran several 50 lap races on Daytona and Homestead and have gotten the rewards every time without issue. My brother had it hang once after a 50 lap race and did not get any reward and I had it hang once on a 7 lap race at Bathhurst and got no reward.

We are both playing on PC.

I have also ran one 50 lap race at Daytona on the Xbox and got the reward as expected.

My bad, exploit.

Are the enduro events worth doing on anything besides the shortest distance? I'm going to do the Corvette @ Spa one after my current series, but since we can't use mods on them I don't want to waste my time for only a few extra credits.

I did them all on the shortest setting. Can't think of any reason to make them longer. The longest one took ~3 hours on standard and paid I think it was 250k? or perhaps it was a little more but not nearly as much as could be made elsewhere in that length of time. I can make 220k in one hour on Homestead in freeplay and can use mods to increase that a by a lot. in 3 hours with 200% in mods and max difficulty that is a bit over 2.5mil in 3 hours

Other than CR payouts based on race length there’s no benefit to running longer races, with the exception of Spa as there’s an Achievement tied to it.

Also, be prepared for some freakishly fast Drivatars at Sebring.

That’s Single Player “done” for me now, and the game now reverts to being a sandbox where I paint and assemble the cars that I will be using in the Multiplayer Hoppers and Leagues (it’s turned into Gran Turismo Sport ).

Took quite a while but it never felt like the grind that Forza Motorsport 6 became. Bear in mind that I have had 2 weeks off of work and played for many hours each day; my current playtime is around 160 hours.

I think the campaign size is just about right, and I liked that it got me to try out every type of car without forcing me down specific paths.

I've played Apex, and actually had no problems with it. It was very well optimised, so seeing how poor Horizon 3 was by comparison came as quite a shock. I know that Horizon 3 is an open world game and thus more demanding on the system, but I would at least expect the game to run as smoothly considering it's the same engine and assets.

Out of curiousity, when was the last time you played FH3? I'm playing it on an OG XBox1. It's rock solid. From what I hear, so is the PC version. There were problems early on, but they've been addressed.

Last time I played it was around August/September time. It runs at a pretty consistent 60fps on max settings, though occasionally dropping to 50 or 40. However, the number of times it has crashed on me is simply unbelievable. Sometimes it will crash five minutes after loading the game, other times an hour or so. There's a chance it could be an issue associated with the specs of my PC, but I somewhat doubt it, since I've played a number of other demanding games with no such problems, like GTA 5, Dirt Rally and so on.

I've played around with the games settings, even dropping the graphics to the lowest, but to no avail. It's a great shame because I think the game itself is practically flawless.

So when I got FM7, I was right on the cusp of tier 11. Well, I've now made it to tier 11, but my rewards still reflect tier 10. Strange. I am still enjoying the game, but I think doing the career races set to "long" has started to wear thin. That extra money is nice, though...

I did the Sebring 300 enduro today. It was tedious, but I liked seeing car after car after car being awarded afterwards.
