Hi :)

I tried to get the Underdog achievement with a german community but we struggle to get 24 player... Are there some GT Planet user that need this one too or are willing to help ? Or does anyone know a group or something that will try to get this achievement ?

I need it too. So if you have a spot for me, I would gladly join in to get it and to help others get it! 👍

Looking to get to the next tier level in Forza Hub. Forza hub shows credit for doing 25 of 30 showcases yet I have complete all 30 of them?
Any one else see this or know if there is anyway to correct it?

So the Renault Formula 1 car:

1. We only have the choice of the one car in this category, that is the only F1 car?

2. It doesnt turn the way I want it to, cant find a tune to purchase that changes the handling as they are all already at 10.0 but it sure doesnt turn the way I am used to from GT6, any ideas?

That is the only car in the Forza GP division, yes. There are other F1 cars from other years spread across a few other divisions.

Elaborate. What do you mean it doesn't turn how you want? Does it understeer? Oversteer? Where does it do that, on turn-in, mid-corner, or on track out? Does it do it on-throttle, off-throttle, statically, or on trail-brake?
More information is required in this instance to even begin to help you.

Under-steering at very low speeds off throttle going into a sharp very slow corner.

I use a wheel and I can barely get it to turn all the way as in I practically have to twist my arms it requires so much turning.

I can't answer #2, but there is only one current F1 car because of licensing issues. If you want the current F1 lineup, then you need to get the current F1 game.

I change my wheel rotation down from 900 to around 720(ish) for high grip race cars like F1's.

Lowering steering linearity with it a small amount helps keep it from being to twitchy.

Forza motorsport doesn't have auto soft locking on a car to car basis like some other sims/racing games, so the DOR has to be changed manually on a per car basis. A good rule of thumb to keep in mind isnt lowering the linearity, but lowering the DOR.

I use 900° for road cars, between 540° and 900° for some race cars, and around about 360° for things like the Renault F1.

  • I will not be hosting a Casual Racing Mondays event on December 25, though if somebody else wants to organise one go right on ahead.

Add me as a Friend on Xbox Live and join my Party when the session begins. I will be using the Party to invite players or communicate with them when they're not in the Lobby.

You can also use the following Looking for Group lobby on Xbox in order to get an invite when the room opens:

Tagging all the racers on GTP again, join if you can, no problem if you can't :)

@PJTierney How long has this lobby been staying open for? I could probably be in around 30-45 min after it starts, but if it usually has been dying off after an hour I don't know if it's worth it.
Somehow I've ended up with today off, so figured I'd try to pop in.

Oh, was unaware I could do any of that with the wheel. I am using a Logitech G27 with the Cronusmax drive hub converter.

Is your wheel detected as a wheel in the game? or does the game only see it as a wheel? If not, you can change the wheel by pressing a couple of button combinations on the G27's shifter unit.

Also, Forza 7 has G27 support on the PC version; so you wouldn't need to use the Chronusmax device on there.

Thanks, not sure I would know what I was doing with the wheel adjustments, and I dont know the answer to your first question. PC? You mean if I was playing using a PC and not Xbox?

Based on the last few weeks it usually doesn’t start to die off until just under 2 hours in, we normally have 8+ per race.

Yes, the PC version of Forza 7, the G27 is listed as a compatible racing wheel for playing the game.

Is it so problematic for T10 to add Time Trial in Free Play?

Test Drive before races still doesn't count driven distance and simply, it's not TT!

There is a time trial option? Where it says race type(usually says circuit race) change that to timed race.

Timed race is not the same as time trial.

Time trial is basically fast lap competition and it also is available in free play and multiplayer

Simply set up the race and under advanced rules choose compare lap times, fastest laps for each car are shown and fastest lap wins

I am on Xbox One and tried for a timed race at all stages of a Free Play setup and the option was still not selectable. Made do with a 102 lap race and this time didn’t lap the second place car (and some of the others) at all! That with the GTR FE. I have now tuned the gears for a better top speed. I run the Daytona Oval.

There are two options for timed race. On the first setup page there is an option for timed race which will do the trick.
On the advanced page there is an option for end race condition which can be set to laps or timed then there is a place to enter number of laps or number of minutes depending on which end condition is selected. I play on both the XBox 1 and the PC and have saw no differences in this area between the two other than the fact that Daytona begins to get corrupted on the PC version after 50 laps requiring a game restart where I have not saw this on the XB1. Indy is worse with background corruption begining within the first 20 laps.

So we're still waiting on Pacific Raceways to pop up in Forza, it was leaked as laserscanned way back in Forza 5 days along with other like Monza, Cota and others. Maybe in an expansion.

I have successfully done Timed Races in the past but don’t seem to be able to do the same options to achieve the same thing now.

As a result of the Timed Race issue, I have now decided on a 103 lap race of the Daytona Oval with the GTR FE for money. With bonuses, including “Unbeatable” opponents, I get 665,000 credits a time and about 4 levels (which currently seems to be free purchases). At least I am reducing my Skipped cars slowly!

Forza motorsport 7 has an odd system in regards to the force feedback, as they do everything opposite to most other games in terms of what the sliders actually do. But reducing the deadzones is not the way to go, you want the inside for steering at 0% and outside at 100%. I use the G920 on the xbox one and the T300 RS on the PC, these are older settings; but I have not changed them by much.

p.s I have the default settings in the Thrustmaster driver for the T300RS, but I have the overall strength in said driver set to 55% now.

Also, a T10 dev on the Forza forums; stated that the in game "force feedback scale" should be left at 100%. On the console, this is a bad idea (as explained in my video). On the PC however, as you can reduce the overall forces in the TM driver software; you can leave the in game FFB scale at the suggested 100%

Welp that did help but sadly I just cannot enjoy Forza on my wheel. The physics just seem to make no sense to me... Shame really. I'll come back once I have a controller for sure but for now I just cannot play it. Thanks for the help though :)

Are you using mods too? If not you should be. You can buy those expert or master mod crates pretty cheap and the mods pay very well in races that long. It is fairly easy to get an extra 200% or more.
