I got the Ultimate Edition, and after redeeming my VIP and DLC cars, as well as grabbing the Specialty dealer cars with the Forza Rewards money I was gifted I am already Tier 4 without having done a single race yet.

All personal opinion really, not everyone wants the same things. I do not mind the SUV's, as they tend to be aimed more at on road uses (with very minor off road usage) in all but a few cases. With regards to the trophy trucks, I can totally agree that they are not a fit for Forza Motorsport due to the lack of off road tracks.
To be honest, some of the most enjoyment I've been getting out of Forza lately has been from figuring out how to get a trackworthy performance out of vehicles that have no business being on a race track. I can understand that people who have no interest in tuning wouldn't feel the same, but off-roaders have a pretty unique set of challenges that makes it feel pretty rewarding when you manage to overcome them. Even moreso when I check the leaderboards and see that my choice of vehicle is breaking up the sea of times using "the best car" (which is always the one with the highest top speed stat after homologation).

Still have yet to do a single race, But now that I got my Vinyl Groups and designs imported from FH3 I can get started.

Also like that the designs are rendered at a higher resolution (on PC at least) then they where in FH3. Makes my sponsor decals on the doorframe readable.

To add to the weirdness with the liveries, my NSX-R has now just turned up to Sonoma in the JACCS livery from the EK9 Civic that is above it in my garage ...

Considering returning my Xbox OneX (have till February to decide) and the Forza game, or sell the game separately, and go with PS4 and GT Sport.

I played GT on PS3 for many years, or however long it has been PS3, and I find the disconnected from server issue with Forza to be too frequent, as in 90% of the time I cant get on. If have speeds of 100/10 latency 24ms, zero packet loss and MTU of 1480.

I connected my wifi extender to the Xbox via ethernet, same results, no difference in anything, everything identical.

Someone here said they get on all the time, no problem, so I dont know how to deal with that information.

I also hear GT Sport has many problems; very few cars, little to no career mode and nothing can be saved unless you are connected to the server? I dont want both machines, one or the other, and it comes down to the games and if GT Sport is mostly an online game now, as they are saying, and if I am disconnected from server there as often as Xbox, then I guess I am sheet out of luck.

I spoke with somebody at Turn 10 regarding Forza Horizon 3 Livery rendering and it seems that it was a launch day bug that never really got resolved; they were being output at a lower resolution than previous games.

Liveries already look sharper on Xbox One versions of Forza Motorsport 7 with increased detail showing on Windows 10 and Xbox One X.

What does Xbox say your NAT type is?

That's correct, although a career mode has been implemented as of late. I'm just not sure how extensive it is, but Forza's appears to be much more extensive.

Uhh...am I doing something wrong? One of the Forzathon goals to get the Jag is "Change Driver Gear" which I did and it still shows 0/3 goals completed? Am I doing something wrong which is blatantly obvious??

Or do you have to do them in order so getting the Aston first then the driver gear followed by the Jag etc?

Just completed 3 laps in Prague in Free Play and it hasn't updated it on Forzathon. WTF?

That’s actually common. Just wait a few minutes and it’ll register. If not, then reboot the game.

It seems to have updated the driver gear but not the 3 laps on Prague...Do the laps have to be 100% clean?
Nah. You can be as dirty as you like. Even if it doesn't register your completion, it will over time. I did this myself and it seemed to have worked.

Note: Keep completing the challenges until you encounter Forzathon's achievements. That way, you will know you completed its challenges. 👍

The laps don’t have to be clean but I avoid using rewind to not complicate things.

And I’m not sure if this actually does anything, but for these kinds of challenges, I do an extra lap just to be safe. So do 4 instead of 3. I never had issues when I do this.

Forzathon can be finicky at times, so you may have to go a little above and beyond what the tasks ask you to do.

Sorry this is coming out of nowhere. I lost more credits fooling with mod crates than I made in the bonuses I got from the mods. Most of the mods, I just refuse to use. Things like switching the braking line on, or activating ABS... I race with everything off in single player, and only use manual w/o clutch when racing online. Why would I turn things like Automatic Transmission on, just to win a 3000cr bonus? Please!

The mods are kind of dumb this time around. I'm no longer using them or wasting the credits to get them.

What crates have you been buying? I usually do the 30,000 one and usually I get ones tied to race feats and pay for themselves in one longer race. I've rarely seen ones tied to aids.

The second challenge to obtain the F12 states "Reach 120mph at Homestead Miami in the 1957 Chevy Bel Air" Got to 122mph on the Speedway but it doesn't specify if you should do it on the road circuit or the speedway. Just completed a 3 lap race on Suzuka Full with the NSX R but still hasn't registered...

I don't think you actually have to have the specific aidson, if you have all assists off. I could have sworn I completed one saying to use STM, but keep ABS off, yet I had both off and got it done.

The only ones I have saw that activate assists are ABS on, Normal Steering and Braking line only.
I generally discard the ABS on ones but have used a few of them here and there.

It all depends on which crates you buy and what kind of races you use them in. It is very easy to pay for the entire crate using only one mod in only one longer race, the rest is all profit.

I've got a stack of 100% CR + 3000 XP right now as well as a few other 100%, 90%, 80% and 70%. I have started selling back the smaller ones and only buying the 30k create now.

That is because the mod over rides any settings you normally use. If the mod says ABS on then ABS will be on while the mod is active and you can not change it so long as the mod is there, same goes for all of the others.

That happened to me as well. Oddly my Porsche 962 decided it wanted to be a Silk Cut Jag!

I never thought to try longer races with them... I'll track my winnings against the cost of one more crate. If this doesn't pan out, then I'll resubmit my complaint. I just kept hearing how credits were bountiful, but I can't seem to rub together two Nickle's in FM7.

I did the experiment when the VIP was fixed, for a 30 minute race anywhere aside the ovals, with good mod cards (ie 80%+) stacked you can easily get more than 500k per race depending on how tough you want your drivatars to be.

I own every car that can be bought and have about 11 million on hand now and did it without using any glitches. Just racing and using mods.

A 10 lap race on Homestead Oval for example pays 14,000 credits and takes under 5 minutes. Put three 50% mods on and you get an extra 21k and those mods can often be used 3 times so out of a 30k crate 3 mods @50% with 3 uses each would pay 63k or a net profit of 33k in this short race and you still have one mod left. If you go 25 laps then the profit is a lot larger and those crates often have 60, 70, 80,90 and even 100% mods in them so it is likely much higher.

early on I was running some 25 and 50 lap races with mods and even a few longer ones, not uncommon to get 500k to 1mil in a single race with unbeatable AI and VIP bonus plus mods

Also note that when it comes to running ovals for money you need to be aware of the class to use. Some classes are pretty much impossible on unbeatable where some are easy. If I am just looking for credits I usually go with the fastest possible cars which in the case of Homestead are Indy and early Prototypes. Both can win easy on the highest setting provided you have it properly tuned and run a good line. These cars turn the fastest lap times so more credits per minute of racing with those.

I did 122 on the oval track and it worked and I did the nsx on the short track and that worked too.

I just do this instead :sly:

(Baller Tuning rewards pic cut, due to jealousy. Saving space will be blamed as the reasoning.)
- Dopplegagger
...

[muttering] Raserfracken Top tuners... and their skills and talent! [/muttering]

I just can't wrap my head around tuning in Forza. On top of that, If one's driving skill is certified poop. How does that person know when they have a good tune?

FEH. I just need a big ol helping of "GET GUD!".

(Rolls sleeves up. Clamps wheel to desk. Slaps face.) Time to get started!
