Getting Cyberpunk 2077 vibes, no wait, the game has been "delayed".Getting Halo Infinite vibes from this one, I hope I'm wrong.

Oh...oh no.fuel weight will have an impact on your times
Looks like a Lexus to me.
Looks like a Lexus IS.
Lexus GS.
How many times have they reused these models? And now they're showing that they're doing it again in their trailer. Trailers are supposed to tell us what to expect. I'm building my expectations on this trailer. I don't see what's so crazy about this. How many times have we seen things in trailers that ended up not being in the final game? It's also entirely possible these cars are placeholders for something else and won't even be in the final game.
Why would anyone make that decision? A trailer like this should be a carefully curated slam dunk of the finest visuals the team has to offer. To be honest, why they would include in their pretty damn important marketing trailer assets of such poor quality in the first place is also an open question. It makes me think that the marketing team isn't really aware of the issues and that the leadership of T10 either doesn't care or also doesn't realize the issues. Both of those things are pretty striking. That E30 is truly bad. It was bad even on Xbox 360.How many times have we seen things in trailers that ended up not being in the final game? PD seeing a racing game dev team struggling to meet their deadline
Many people are saying this, but when I watched the video in 4k I saw a whole reflective layer to the headlight glass that I don't recall being there in the FH5 E30. It also looked higher resolution than the screenshot from earlier in the thread. That E30 is truly bad. It was bad even on Xbox 360.
Look at Playground Games streams if you want to see game developers talking outside their comfort zone. They’re a bit awkward and human, unlike robotic. These Turn 10 guys are playing the corporate act (hence robotic) and they’re just trying too hard. They're game developers reading from a prompter (from what I can make out), they're not presenters. Not everyone is able to talk naturally or with lots of enthusiasm in front of a camera or a crowd.
And only one of those things is actually new: the old track layouts.no rubberbanding/ai cheats (been asking for this)
multiple tire compunds ala f1
old layouts of tracks
more info over the coming months
only things worth mentioning from today
isn't that pc only? and heavily focused on esports?Well, RENNSPORT is going to be my real cup of tea and I'm going to choose that over Forza Motorsport Reboot and Gran Turismo 7, but please don't get me wrong and I'm not saying both Forza Motorsport Reboot and Gran Turismo 7's driving model/physics/handling are bad.
There may be some revised textures (the paints are clearly revised) but its the basic geometry of the model that is wrong. In some cases (E30, SW20, S15, Countach, 22B, etc) its so wrong (proportions are simply off) that its jarring...like you are looking at a knockoff of that car rather than the real thing. I'm not honestly too upset about the lighting or other visuals...that part is fine if not remarkable. i.e. the screenshot bandied around earlier didn't seem a true representation of what I saw when watching the video myself. Am I seeing things?
Yes, RENNSPORT is only on PC at the moment and I guess it could be an MMO game as well.isn't that pc only? and heavily focused on esports?

I'm not seeing it... I think so, and I still prefer iRacing more than the entire Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport franchise. It is an iRacing competitor…
Plus those who prefer to judge on graphics more than driving model/physics for Forza Motorsport Reboot and Gran Turismo 7, this is what kids would do."More advanced AI, Tyre compounds, fuel weight will have an impact on your times...." Ok Mr Chris this sounds promising but gotta see it to believe it. I don't mind them taking another year as long as they make this game right. We don't want a premature release like they did with gt7.
I also hope they stop talking about the graphics or raytracing because honestly nobody cares. There is horizon for that.
If I stretched a picture of a real E30 5% vertically, it would be probably a little hard to point so something specifically off (although the E30 is so poor in FM/FH that I can point to many things) but that is the big issue with a lot of T10 assets. The whole proportions are off. It's not a huge amount, but it's noticeable. They outsourced most or all of the modeling of the first couple games to overseas subcontractors rather than doing them in-house in a controlled environment. They are probably done from 2D line drawings, the old school way.I'm not seeing it... Differences look pretty minor to me... Maybe wing mirrors a little small?
Same with the 1969 Camaro and 1970 Chevelle, both cars have just enough off that you can tell they don't look right. If I stretched a picture of a real E30 5% vertically, it would be probably a little hard to point so something specifically off (although the E30 is so poor in FM/FH that I can point to many things) but that is the big issue with a lot of T10 assets. Some are better than others, but basically every car in the first 3 games look off. The problem is that most of those assets have been carried over to the latest games. A few have been genuinely fixed (the pre-facelift NSX used to look absolutely horrific, so at least they fixed that one) and many of them have been tweaked, but yes the '70 Chevelle looks like a knockoff. From FM4 and forward, the quality of the new assets improved dramatically. Many of these aren't perfect either, but at least they are proportionally correct. The assets added from FH3-onward are very good.Same with the 1969 Camaro and 1970 Chevelle, both cars have just enough off that you can tell they don't look right.
