There's unflattering shots of GT5:P though, regardless of Forza 3's car models not all being as accurate as GT'2 Forza 3 still has very good graphics.

^You sure that image isn't really from Forza 2?

Deformed tires, so yeah its Forza 3.. damn UGLY graphics... now I laugh even harder when FM guys at E3 said that FM3 is best looking NEXT GEN game out there.. GRID looks way better.. oh yeah , and GT5Prologue

I can see the tide turning towards GT5 in the coming weeks. I wonder what monkey wrench Turn 10 will throw to try to get the upper hand.

Some online events and stats, and clubs .. I bet GT5 can and will have the same.
Besides FM3 is out 2 months from now.. So what can they do in 2 months? polish it... nothing else.

True.. But forza 3 also will have tournaments, rumor says a online car show/rate feature. I don't know, but time will tell.

WOW

That added a lot to the discussion!! :)

Please don't treat the threads here at GT Planet as a conversation, while that may be acceptable on a lot of other forums, its not here.

Please try and post when you can actively add or comment on the subject, and a single word reply doesn't manage that.

I've also noticed from you post history a heavy use of Text Speak, please don't carry on using it as teh AUP clearly states its not to be used.

Thanks

Actually Sir, i wasn't finished. I hit Submit Reply By Mistake and my browser Froze. Won't happen again 👍

Then please continue, however the point regarding Text Speak still stands.

Thanks

If they are ignored or not I think is down to you, if you choose to ignore them in the game or not. They have thier own race event which you have to complete if you want to progress through the game and there are plenty of other race series that allow the SUV's to enter.

That's upto them, but the fact remains that they are only ignored if you choose to ignore them and even then you have to use them to progress through the game. You could say that there's more focus on the SUV's than the Formula GT cars due to that fact, the Formula GT series only accounts for completion percentage, the SUV event is mandatory if you want to get into the expert race hall.

That's all irrelevent in rubbishing Want3d_1320's comment, because loads of companies include SUV's in thier racing games.

GT5Prologue already had and is having tournaments for Time Trials .. cough cough GT ACADEMY cough cough
So why should they stop with GT5 16 player Race 24h Tournaments?

Heres the plans PD had for the online part of the game. I wonder how many have made it.

@sumbrownkid

I agree the tide is turning for sure, but, was there any doubting it wouldnt :)

Apart from our translator friend ^_^, that picture could say that as on Prologue (and presumably GT5) the cars have de original manufacturer colours, on Forza 3 they use a bigger but generic colour palette?

Forza 2 also carried original manufacturer colors as well other palettes, including metallic and generic and a color wheel. I will assume they are also being added to Forza 3.

Been a while since I posted on this thread but I definately agree with you.

As I post on this forum and the Forza forums im always trying to keep updated with the latest news. The announcement of the cars on GT mobile and most certainly GT5 will certainly have an effect on forza fans. Already threads consist of forza fans asking for whats already in GT5 and the Bugatti Veyron is another string to the GT5 bow. I sincerely hope Turn 10 do include the Veyron for FM3 otherwise their comments at E3 will look even more silly!

Speaking of Forza fans I was having yet another argument on the forza forums today. Someone called the GT franchise a heap of junk! now I don't go on there to cause trouble but I do ask they show some respect for what GT franchise has done for this industry. However what baffles me is how can so many fans of racing games have such an attitude towards the GT franchise. I understand you will always get fanboys but even comments such as that surprised me.

I do believe the tide is turning and will continue if GT5 is announced at Gamescom. Even the most diehard forza fans will have to admit that when it comes to comparing GT5 with FM3 there simply isn't any competition!

I agree, and I say its a two way street also. There are some on here who I think should respect T10 a little more for what they are doing aswell. Their comments were a bit outlandish at E3 sure, but they are doing great things with Forza 3.

GT5 will most definatly deliver the goods. I will, however, enjoy both very very much!

Who actually takes these newer SUV's off-road in real life is the better question lol

Most new SUV's have the ground clearance of a sedan. However in the video game realm I will take anything off-road(even a Cien like I did in GT4).

Not that it would matter to everyone but if FM3 introduces the Veryon, it would suffer from the same fate as the Audi R8 (and the TT, the Mercedes SLR and the Porsche Carrera GT); meaning that it will not come with an active aero which in the case of Veryon is very essential to its design (not that the Audi is of less importance).

So i presume I'm the only person...who took a ram around the nurburgring in GT4 since trucks and suvs were underrated... Best two hands down being the ford f150 lightning and Toyota Tacoma TRD.

but back on topic....

Certainly agree that both should show respect although I find the members on this forum to be more mature and less fanboyish.

What I don't understand is why some Forza fans flatly refuse to even give GT5 a go. If I only owned the 360 and was a fan of racing games I would do everything I could to get a PS3 for GT5. Luckily I own both consoles and will play both games but I prefer GT over FM and will stop playing FM3 when GT5 is released.
