I wonder how much or how far in GT5 they are?
Half way?

I wish PD posted some images, not cars, not tracks but how the whole menus system works and looks like. I hope it's similar to GT4s but at the same time take advantage of this new Prologue idea.

I know it sucks that they've been so quiet about any news on GT5 but maybe they're just all very very very hard at work to try and get the game out by the end of this year? It could happen...

I doubt, They might give us a Release date in December of 09, and get the game in spring 2010 or even SUMMER!!!

Yeah every time in any interview they (PD) say they work around the clock, without any breaks.

Any Gaming Shows in upcoming Spring? I think they will announce something during any Huge Gaming shows.

If they were to give us a release date in Decemeber 09 then any Gameshows in Spring 09 will not show much if anything.

I'd be happy if GT5 comes out this year. But I have the feeling i'm going to be dissapointed.:indiff::nervous:

I just wish PD would show us.....something!

Yeah, I used to be so happy seeing new sneak peak screenies of various cars on various tracks on the long lead up to GT4.

Just got todays copy of Autocar magazine- with an interview with Citroen and somebody from PD about the Citroen Gt Concept.

To cut a long story short the release date they were given for GT5 was early 2010.

Two thousand and ten - you've got to laugh.

At PD.

What a JOKE!!

Do you ever stop moaning and complaining? - this is a question all those constantly lamenting over the release date. Every GT game is always like this, no confirmed dates, long delays, why is it any different this time? At least this time they gave us a decent demo-game for us to have fun with.

KY said that GT5 it's expected to 2009. We are in the begining of the year, there are 11 months for see what happens.
Respect to big game events, they are E3 that's from June 2-4 2009, and Tokyo Game Show on semptember 2009. Maybe there are more game events, I don't know a lot about it. During 2009, there are also Auto Salons and Motor Shows. Tokyo Auto Salon was this january, but PD wasn't there. We have to wait, I thing that PD it's doing great and hard work and we'll have an awesome game! Maybe PD will say something as a surprise.

Previous GT games had no competition on consoles, now there are multiple titles that look equal too, if not better, than GT5.

All this waiting, and PD haven't even confirmed damage, weather etc.

No competition? Yes it did, and Polyphony did what they still do now, ignore it all, they're making their game great and don't care whether other game franchises are doing anything better or different.
GT1 main rival: ToCA Touring Cars
GT2 main rival: ToCA Touring Cars 2/Le Mans 24 Hours
GT3 main rival: Enthusia
GT4 main rival: Forza/Forza 2

I would have thought their history of games and the quality of those games is enough to silence people from complaining about not knowing if the next GT game will be good or not, I guess you all didn't play GT4 then? Not only that, but I think PD has already done more than enough by giving us Prologue, whatever they show us from now on is just a bonus, I'm eagerly anticipating an expanded Prologue rather than the super-GT game some people here are dreaming up.

Most of your claims are beyond false. Poly as a company spends many resources to compete with other games such as forza. Poly not only is aware and involved in what others are doing they have now brought considerable amount of money and time ( if you havnt noticed that already ) just to keep up with the competitors and their advantages against poly. To say poly ignores the press and other companies is utter crap and doesnt even make sence business wise either. Ever since GT4 came out poly ,as a company as a whole, had to radically change its strategy to their game development in the global market. I would keep explaining some of the other arguments that are false but I think everyone on here knows the correct answer anyways.

The world of gaming and especially ONLINE changed so much. That way is not going to work this time.

...GT game will be good or not, I guess you all didn't play GT4 then?

I played and think quantity killed the quality in GT4. The old system of races was no more motivating for me and after 65% I just drove RUF on Nürburgring for some fun, nothing more.

Not only that, but I think PD has already done more than enough by giving us Prologue...

GIVING? They sold it to us for almost full price and now they have full pockets of money for development! You are talking about Polyphony like a dutiful child about its parents.

^^^I don't even know you and I already like you!

What I found very suprising when KY was asked about Forza, he said that he has never played or even taken a look at that game. I'm not saying Forza is the end all for console "sims" but that is the direct competition for the GT series right now. I know a few may disagree with me on this but Forza 2 was a pretty big improvement over Forza 1 with greatly improved sound/graphics/physics/tuning/online system. Not only that but Turn 10 has community representatives who browse the Forza website looking for feedback from their fans so they can further improve on the next installment.

PD has done a lot of things right but there are still a lot of things that they're doing wrong. Sooner or later, the competition will be so far ahead of them that the hardcore GT fans will go over to the competition. I love the GT series more than the Forza series but I have to give credit where credit is due. It will not suprise me at all if Forza 3 offers cockpit view and a much better replay system than the atrocious replay system that they have now.

Will you guys seriously still spend your money on Gran Turismo when one day there is a much better console racer out there for the same price? I will be spending my money on the better game.

I didn't know "almost full price" could be interpreted as "less than half price".

CoD4 cost me £32. GTA4 cost me £38. LBP cost me £37. Assassin's Creed cost me £35.

GT5P cost me £17. Which is less than it costs to play Forza 2 online for 12 months.
