It's official, I'm done with pessimism, I can now release my excitement bug and start the party.

Can someone make a GIF at the 1:52 marker in the replay video? Check out the AI's aggression and suspension as it tries to compromise the corner to get @Jordan back.

I hope that is the sort of AI that we can expect to see in GT mode, it will make those races much more interesting. I've never seen the AI in GT act like that FTO was acting, cutting a corner just to keep up and try to reclaim its position.
That's a bit the danger that you would only have this kind of AI aggressiveness in arcade mode on the hardest setting, seeing that's where all those recent gameplay vids were grabbed...

They could potentially solve this issue by letting you select the difficulty for an event in GT mode and then having the credit payout be determined by the difficulty. The lower the difficulty, the less credits you get, the higher the difficulty, the more credits you get.

Hey. At least the improvement really does show from Jordan's videos, so that's what really matters. ;)
Yeah guess so :) I'm still considering getting an XB1 and FM5 just to check out the drivatars. Of the gameplay I've seen the races are anything but dull...

Yeah, I've watched them myself and I agree with ya. The others in the Forza forum here on GTP will be getting their hands on the game. Be sure to check out their impressions yeah? :)

Although the AI is an improvement, I doubt it'll be better than Forza 5's "Drivatars" because they look really fun to race against.

"Driveatars" is quite debatable though...some people say that you can also see the worst players doing some weird movements and going out of the track all the time...It works yes but still the way the game mixes the "driveatars" is not so "precise". (Gamespot review shows what happens with it)

Going back to what I care the most...GRAN TURISMO 6...I think is a great improvement that actually at this point the AI at least FIGHT with you instead of give up or slow down as we can see in GT5.

Nice work by PD I must say.

I must admit the Sirocco battle looked pretty good. AI is still something you need to compete against for yourself to see how its been improved, so I'll withhold my verdict until I experience it. The AI improvement was observable though.

I don't know that I like idea of ai being based on other players not everyone is good at racing sims and I seen a video where 1 ai spun another out.thats annoying

Bad news chaps. My local Gamestop doesn't open until NOON the day GT6 comes out...The one an extra 25 minutes away opens at 10...I'm seriously thinking about moving my pre-order.

Can you do it online?

And maybe this is in the wrong thread?

if this is true, i will always go with hard difficulty.

This so much.
I also noticed that it was very agressive with braking; I think there actually was a try to outbreak Jordan. It also pretty much slammed into him at that little chicane. And they finally don't slam the brakes when you grind them in the middle of a corner!

Oh god this is definitely gonna be one hell of an exciting game.

IF this AI isn't only limited to professional difficulty in arcade mode, which is my biggest worry at the moment.
Just like in GT5 you'll be able to have more fun in arcade only then, but without any reward or credits in return, so it lacks accomplishment...

They certainly do. Look at the Ferrari P4 in the Mount Panorama video. And you can pick out numerous places where the AI do the same throughout the other videos. It's certainly better than what we had in GT5 but this behavior has not been eliminated.

Makes the race more lively than just driving around some mobile barriers...

@jlb @sk8er913 too many casuals on Forza 5 and the fact that not all wheels are supported on Xbox One doesn't help either. With that said, most people are playing it with a controller.

I had no problems playing GT5 or GTA13 or Forza 3 or simraceway with controllers...

Wow. Did he just go for that gap? I saw some deliberate brake checking as well. Not cool at all.

Yes and I can't stop laughing, wait theres another one... :D

here. LOL!!!!

^ Indeed, saw it many times already that they take the apex of slower corners at grandma speed again... :guilty:

wow drivavatars look EXTREMELLY BAD. I would hate such situations!
Normally that's just because it's the beginning and most people that are playing now race as pirates. It is supposed to be divided in drivatar levels so if you race clean and fast later on when there are more profiles available they would link you with the gentlemen category. But let's wait and see if that's gonna happen, i wouldn't like to race with those hooligans neither at the moment.

Edit: German hands on says AI in GT6 is still slow and predictable...
Guess the agressive version is only reserved for arcade mode then :ill:
