Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

"Announcements" and a Website update... Either very coincidental, or a hint at whats to come...

I know everyone is jaded by past GT reveals, but at this point, it is pretty much guaranteed.

Leaks from SCE PR + Jordan being coy + Amar hints +GT Academy Rumors all within 2 months... yeah... um...

Drive Club as a launch window game pretty much rules out PS4 from a business perspective.

My theory is this. GT6 will be a PS3 game that will include a demo for GT-Next Gen on the disc. GT6 will not play on the PS4, obviously, but the demo will.

Technically, there is an "event" tomorrow, if you consider the GT site being updated. Would be cool to see a new trailer! ;)

A new trailer? Lol I wanna see the old one :D

(Personally I'd be very grateful even if they told us just some basic informations - what they have improved and maybe some pics, but no trailer :P that would hype us even more... Trailer at E3 :P )

:odd: You think the disc will containable a playable demo? From the next-gen GT game? :odd:

I can't see that happening. First, what's the benefit? Second, do you believe they have something ready from the next gen GT that has been QA tested enough to release to the public at that time? Third, if they want to release a demo wouldn't it be better as a PSN demo for every PS4 owner to download?

I think it's not a bad idea though they got no benefit from it... They MAY have something like GT HD back from 2006 (just after launch of PS3) for PS4, but I don't see it coming anyway.

Actually, if you think it thru, there is a benefit in it... See, if you wanna try next-gen GT taste, buy GT6 :)

This is the smartest option. That way they can gauge how many people are actually interested in it before they release it. If they release it with GT6, theyve got no way of knowing how many people are actually going to play it and what not.

...... Do you think so?? ... I mean.. Do you really? You think they (SONY) cannot watch what we're doing on ours PS3s? Of course they can and they do. But you made your point with download numbers of demo on Store.

Download from store, access files on disc... both can be measured.

My point is, "Hey PS3 owner, you like GT right? Are you considering getting GT6? Of course. Well guess, what? There is a demo of GT for the PS4 on you GT6 disc. You want to play it? Of course you do. Well, you are going to have to buy a PS4 to do that. So are you more likely to buy GT6? Sure. PS4? More than you were before."

This simultaneously drives sales of GT6 and PS4. Of course the demo would be offered on the PSN at some point, but initially, it would be exclusive to the GT6 disc. You may dislike this tactic on impulse... but I wonder how many would get a PS4 just to play that demo...

My main point, which I actually put second, was that I highly doubt PD will have something prepared that is actually playable, in high enough detail and will properly demonstrate what next-gen GT is capable of when they release GT6. I wouldn't be surprised if they release 'GTHD' type demo on PS4 next Spring/Summer however. All of this is assuming that the past 3 years have been spent developing GT6 for PS3.

I'm predicting just GT Academy NA 2013.

*yawn*

I have a state exam tomorrow.

Too excited to sleep.

Guess I'll be a freshman for another year.

Is it worth it though... Just for a possible announcement of GT6?

.. Totally :)

Yawn? Wake up, Jerome, wake up! :D

Hmmm, time to burn the midnight oil, do the Dew, drink a couple if beers. Or go to bed in an hour or so and wake up to new GT news and rejoin the pool of waitin...

Hopefully it's a trailer that shows real game play. In the days of GT2 and GT3, I used to get so excited only to see that the intro/trailer was CG.

Can someone explain to me how the game being 3D capable affects the performance of the game if 3D isn't enabled?
I'm probably to blame for that. It's my assumption based on the differences between Prologue and GT5, and I've been posting this for a few months. The main differences between GT5P and GT5 is that the full game has weather and time of day on a few featured tracks, but 3D on the entire game. Since the graphical issues are on every track, it's my deduction that the 3D implementation is hamstringing the game in the background, like a Windoze process.

Prologue was available almost three years before GT5. And before someone says "But PS4 will be completely different and they'll have to learn a whole new difficult architecture," no they won't. The PS4 will be much like the PCs they will be coding on, just with many more cores. Coding for PS3's Cell Engine is the tough job.

Of course that's not what matters. We'll see a PS4 build of GT when Kaz decides to have it produced.

Yawn? Wake up, Jerome, wake up! :D
Great... now I can't sleep!

I'm missing your point or how that relates to what I wrote.

I can't let myself get excited. This is what I'm saying to myself, "This is nothing, no news, no big deal. Don't get your hopes up. Be...STRONG."
