@Thexni's instructions were for just doing Extra Menu No. 1 though. In that particular case, when people don't want to do Extra Menu No. 3 the correct answer is absolutely yes. Just as he said, you do have to restart the game each time to only do Extra Menu No. 1.

I'm not sure why anyone would do it that way though to be honest. I haven't tested it yet but I would think that if you have too many engines you don't want just keep installing them in the same car over and over.
I understood that, but you can also just delete the engines... why stress your system out and also waste time with these loading times by constantly booting the game up? It's a lot more efficient and less time consuming by alternating tickets.

It's also a good method to stock pile them for future swaps. I personally wanted a 2J but kept getting the Hellcat motor and the rotaries. In all my draws, I only got 3 2Js. I think I'm set, because as a drifter, you only have a handful of cars you constantly use, the others you build to try out and then move on.

Read my post again. I noted that I don't know why anyone would do it that way for pretty much the same reason you said, but his instructions were correct for the question he answered. That person specifically only wanted the four star tickets and no engine swap ones.

Also, you missed my edit where I said near on exactly the same as you regarding efficiency.;)

Yes, and I think we all want something like that. Who knows? It could be a license thing. Ferrari likely don't want engines swapped into other cars.
Sure, Ferrari undoubtedly feels that way, but the Big 3 will sell a block to anyone with an open checkbook.

Haha. Ok.

Another reason why I am skipping order 3 is that I found better car rewards if I just stick to order 1. Just yesterday , I won a lm55, Porsche 919, cayman gt4, Aston Martin dbr9 and so on, saving me few millions there

What’s order 3 instead of 1? Thanks

Ok but I thought you had to watch video 1, open 4 star ticket, then watch video 3 and open 6 star ticket and go back to video 1, etc… how do you do only the 4 star tickets?

Click on the order1, immediately back out so that you don’t have to watch the whole video , go to garage , receive the gift. Close the game. Open gt7 again. Go to cafe, click on order1, and it goes on and on. If you hate restarting your game , then you will have to do order 3, and then back to order 1 again.

As a side effect, I finally managed to have enough money AND have XJ13 available for purchase at the same time.

All other gains are surely welcome, but I was hoping I would snatch that Jag and I sure did :)

Until now, two swaps stand out for me in terms of "usable"

  • GR yaris
  • Delta Intergrale

Thats yaris handles quit good! as the Delta does,
The 180 SX is hilarious, trying to set it up but there is just to much power , first sector Watkins Glen is a real pain in the a*s
it even skids in 5th :lol:
Stil haven't won the BRZ engine tho :irked:

Hi,

So you do not just open the extra menu one? You also need to watch a video?

You just open menu book one til the picture frame comes up, hit enter again, and then close it. No need to watch the video or go through the dialogue.

Once you close it, go to your garage, redeem the ticket and then follow the rest of his instructions.

Head over to the S Parts thread to discuss your findings 😁

I've managed to win all engine but the VR38 now. I have two R26B engines, but the VR38 (which goes into 4 different cars) has been elusive so far. Last night was a good run of luck though. 2x 26B, 1x 13B, 3x 2JZ, 2x of each of the Corvette engines, plus an R8 engine and a Z4 engine, and a 1 mil credit ticket.

Amazing what some people manage to get out of this. Guess I have to do this about 100 more times :).

That said, I got all the engines I ever dreamed of including the 787, Z4 GTE, Subaru, Hellcat, 2JZ, RB26 and the Porsche engines so all good on that side. The 4 stars have been 80% 10-30k but I got a few cool cars I already had like Aston Vantage GT3, AMG GT GT3 and so on and so forth.

I always had a good run with the regular tickets though, got a Carrera GT, a 919 Hybrid and a few 500k-1mn cash prices so the system kinda worked for me.

That said, this 'glitch' or whatever it is is a Godsend, reminds me of the M3 in GT6 only in GT7 we can't sell any cars.

So I engine swapped the rx7 and I now have an ultra hight turbo for the car but it won't let me install even though it's compatible. Is this because of the engine swap as it's for the stock engine?

Yes. That engine goes into the MX5 so you either add to that if you’ve swapped the engine there or just add it to another stock RX7

I recently received the Corvette LT-1 and dropped it in the Mazda Roadster S '15. Before and after lap at Spa, quite interesting. I had to use TC 3 to be able to get a clean lap in. Pumped the LT-1 from 453hp to 718hp before the lap at Spa.

To all the people saying that the swapped cars are unusable, I suspect it's because you're smashing all the power the engine will make in to it and crashing a lot.

I actually found that the cars with their stock swapped engines are actually great fun to drive as they come. For example, slap the 13B in to an NA MX5, put some sports hard tyres on it and take it out for a spin, it's great fun.

Sure, if you wind the 13B up to 600-odd horsepower it's going to become an animal, but at the ~300 it comes with after the swap it's great fun.

Agreed, they were all very drivable in that configuration. Even at full upgrades almost all are tameable except the lt1 Miata. That one I have been struggling with for months. If anyone is having trouble with the rx787, grab praiano’s tune; it is black magic. It took 6 seconds off my lap time at Watkins short course from my crap tune attempt.
