When exactly? As far as I can tell, that trailer from September is the first and only official release date its had and it hasn't changed so far.
Yes and no.

Sony hasn't ever given a concrete launch date as you say, until the March 4th date in the September trailer. However it has previously communicated that the game was on the 2021 launch list and that it "shifted" to 2022.

So in one sense it has been delayed, but since we don't know when it was delayed from, it also hasn't been.

Okay, this is weird.

I've been watching this video several times and then a funny hypothesis came to my mind. It's definitely not just another video with alternate scenes. There are 2 main things on this video that made me find it really weird:

1 - Audio and video are NOT synchronized, we can see the video is basically brand-new while the audio is the same from the actual/original "Collector" video. Use Yamauchi's lip movements as he speaks for reference and you'll notice it.

2 - This episode is about car collection, right? So what does an SF19 being edited on the livery editor have to do with it? This particular scene takes a serious amount of time of the video, it's not a quick glimpse. The original video shows footage that are much more convincing within the actual theme.

So, there goes my theory. I think they unintentionally leaked the video (without its real audio) from one of the next episodes, and it would probably be called "Livery Designing" or something else. Because nothing is connected on this, from the audio-video desync to the totally meaningless SF19 being edited while Kaz says GT7 will have more than 400 cars.

They just happen to coincidentally have the same time (1:10), so they start & end continuously.
Bingo.

Why do you consider it the best GT?
Well, in my not so short GT experience (been playing since 2001) the smaller, less ambitious, iterations of the game have been the best. GT5P was a huge leap from previous games not only in graphics but in physics too (a bit like GT3 had been), plus it gave us the first online races and the first premiums - with in car view!

At least for this particular segment, because the scape main menu has N400 class for the C4 ZR-1 and the winged Supra scape shooting is recycled from the PS Showcase trailer.

Youtube version of the new trailer, titled "Scapes".

Is that an AMG GT-R? Has it been previewed or confirmed in any of the previous trailers? I don't think so.

Also that C4 Vette is just

You know what? As much as I'd like to see the endurance races be no longer than 4hrs at maximum, I'd love to see that combined with shorter endurances, too. It's the whole idea of a race that's determined by total distance over a fixed amount of time that interests me, whereas it feels like the overwhelming majority of races are solely determined by a fixed lap count. (That said, there could be some endurance league events that are still determined with a fixed lap count, especially if the event is defined by its distance rather than time, such as the Suzuka 1000km.)

We could see this in Sport Mode, too, where it's not an endurance in the sense that it's very long, but more so an endurance where you're given something like half an hour (or perhaps even less time, like fifteen minutes) to complete as many laps as possible.

EDIT: The actual endurance league, however, would be reserved for genuinely longer events. But there could still be races that use a time limit format in more advanced leagues, like the Professional and/or Extreme leagues.

So the PP of Supra is 547.... that's for those who think the "BMW Supra" slower than old JDMs. Even for the '19 version, its performance was more on line with the likes of TVR Griffith 500, also significantly superior to JDMs (GT1 anybody).

I'm loving the spoiler swap on the Supra

More proof that the scapes menu in that trailer is an older build - the main menu there lists 2,568 scapes:

vs the PS Showcase trailer, which lists 2,671 spots:

Yeah, kind of obvious there, given how the top bar is different between each build. It's always fascinating to see these changes as they progress, really.

But... man, the more I see of these menus, the more evident it is to me that Sport really was GT7 Prologue in all but name.
