A wilder version of the GR Yaris? Why though?
Firstly, cause its awesome. Secondly, I think a little hint was dropped by Toyota UK, considering they were pretty selective with the comments they replied to...

Could be nothing though of course

You wait until you see the wild differences in the rest of the suspension settings, from spring rates through to toe. They are all over the place, and a quick look at how the AI cars behave under full braking reveals why: it's a fudge to gloss over the weakness of the suspension model.

The deal was signed two years ago, and since then Michelin's name has been all over the game and the FIA Online Championship.

What news are you expecting, exactly?
What about that mythical Michelin’s tyre model? 😄

From facebook page, sorry if old. So hyped!!

I'm expecting news about that Michelin tyre technology. Is it a real technical partnership or just basic product placement? We'll know very soon I guess.

I would hope that something has come out of the partnership besides product placement. Otherwise, all of this fluff:

Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi explained:

“Michelin has a massive amount of technology relevant to tires and implementing that knowledge into the physics of Gran Turismo is going to allow us to have a more realistic simulation in the game as well as providing improved facets of strategy for the players in the FIA Championships. Now that we have this partnership with Michelin, and their long history and technology behind them, it really allows us to create something that is going to be real, closer to the reality of how a tire should behave.”

Scott Clark, executive vice-president of the Americas region for Michelin, commented:

“When you take the amount of data we’ve collected over the years from different circuits, different vehicles, different tire compounds and marry that withsome of our simulation capabilities, it’ll bring a whole new dimension of strategy and ultimately improve the performance and realism of the game. That’s really what we’re both trying to do here and it’s really an exciting new digital adventure.”
is just flat-out lies. Or maybe it's already implemented in GTS and we barely noticed the difference.

I wonder if the base paint color options have been extended to the decals. Would be great to have more freedom with different surface finishes and maybe even color-changing choices for individual stickers, or maybe at least in sticker groups.

As it look like, there could be a new State of Play format in february, (eventually on third of february) and as i read last insider update saying shortly upcomming releases like GT7 could be part of.

Of course, its speculative. But maybe thats the format, we will get a bunch of informations about GT7 we were waiting for.

They sure aren’t in a hurry to show the world how progress is structured. Seven or so weeks to go and all we basically know is it will be an expanded GT Sport with retro touches. Come on.
Horizon 5 is nothing else, its an updated, not upgraded Horizon 4 with new map and Expeditions now. Thats it simple said. And less cars to launch, not to forget.

Yesterday I saw the Deep Forest gameplay video from early Dec. for the first time and it really left me angry.
I don't like the changes they did to the final part of the track. The hairpin looks like something Tilke would throw into his tracks in hopes of at least some overtakes taking place in the race. And the redesign of the final corner is what really makes me angry. That corner has always been one of my favourite corners in GT games. Flying downhill towards it to lift the throttle, or just slightly tap the break in the last moment to hammer the car through the dip has always been such a blast for me.

I know, but one could assume that PD has more cards in their pockets after 8-9 years since the last numbered GT title than PG had for FH5, which as a franchise has had five numbered titles in roughly the same time span.

Coming from the developers that made broadly the same game for 15 years and 6 full games? I wouldn't hold your breath. They're just going to go back to that formula, add some new cars and tracks, tack on Sport Mode from the game that broke the formula and call it job done.

I hope it isn't true, but it's what I'm expecting to avoid any disappointment.

True, but even then I feel the campaign deserves to be spotlighted by now. Each title has had slightly different ways of doing it, and aside from driving it makes up the core of the experience. Structure was by far GT Sport’s greatest weakness, so the transition back to a numbered title comes with an expectation to at least deliver something that improves on the mistakes of GT6.
