The PS5 download (1.380.000) is 3.803 GB. That seems a bit big for just 3 cars and a few scapes.

Maybe they added something they didn't tease, like a new event for SEMA cars?
I'm going back through the GTP news archives, and the last one that was over 2 GB for the PS5 was the 1.31 update, and that was just over 2 GB (and almost 3 GB on the PS4). I'll keep going and see if any of the earlier updates was larger.

Edit part 1/? - 1.29 was a massive 7.3 GB on the PS5/7.6 GB on the PS4.
Edit part 2/? - 1.26 was 3.1 GB on the PS5/2.5 GB on the PS4.
Edit part 3/3 - Judging by the patch notes, I'm not exactly seeing why this is the 2nd-largest update behind only the PSVR2 update (or, as @MineralBlurb7 puts it, the "butchered up Grand Valley" update). No new track, no physics changes, no new features (unless the radar on the quick menu counts as a massively-sized new feature)

1.29 had the butchered up Grand Valley, right?

Only one real notable addition in the patch notes, but to be fair it's something everyone's been asking for for a while - no more having to scramble to find out the weather!

1. Race Screen
 - Added a 'Weather Radar' button to the Quick Menu;

Please don't tell me the reason for this size is all because there's a duplicate for those tracks featured on that Honda championship. I reckon I may be wrong, but if I'm not, the exact same BS happened to Deep Forest for the Olympics time trial.

It's worse than I'd imagined. The WTC 700 race better pay well. I am so desperate for new events with good payouts, I'd take anything at this point.

I have to agree with everyone on this update. The cars look cool, but the lack of events is disappointing. I wasn't expecting more, but it's still a shame when it should be easy to create lots of events.

I'm not even that fussed about payouts as I have all the cars I want, save for the new ones that roll around, and I get enough credits from the time trials to cover those.

No, this won't be it - that will only ever happen for the Olympics, because they have stringent rules around advertising so they have to replace all the signage.

WTC700 for bathurst... im easily satisfied 🤣
As for the length.... please be endurance 🙏

Radar shows up to 200km
With a time bar up top.
Maybe just maybe stretching the WC700 because of TCR World Tour and GT4 Australia.
Crazy thing is, that been a staple race in GT Sport Daily Races for years.

Where are the new scapes this time 🤔😂

Also more new liveries that players have probably already made themselves 😔

Oh and two cars finally available in brand central that the vast majority got for free, what feels like last year 🤦🏻‍♂️

This one is a huge update 🤣
