Gran Turismo 7's Next Update is Coming September 28, Adds Three New Cars

I installed the update this morning and bought the RCR Civic, it looks fantastic and I also like to see new Scapes being added as well.

Famine
there’s technically an age barrier
Upper or lower? :nervous:

No. Many people are upset and each update feels to them like they're worse than the previous updates.
Is the expected outcome from any udpate on this year (with the excepction of February):
-3 cars tease
-People expecting a track
-No.new track
-People got mad at PD
-Update comes
-People are back playing

Repeat the process next month

Not a bad selection of hatch backs here. The new RCR Civic actually reminds me of a Honda Civic mod for Assetto Corsa that one of my cousins from Portugal showed me when I was over at his house during vacation this year. Since it’s based on a real modified civic and not a fictional GT RM modification, I wonder if it’s the same civic from that mod because the body kit especially with the bolt on fenders do look eerily similar.

Race of Turbo sports cars isn't exactly the race events I thought would be added. I was honestly expecting a return to the Japanese FF events but with better payouts.

I can't get excited over another World Touring Car event though. For me personally, it'll be another throw-away event seeing as its payout stinks given the amount of effort one has to put into those races due to the exaggerated fuel and tire wear. I wish they'd rid themselves of the idea that those events need to be exaggerated and instead just implement proper endurance races.
If they going to add more endurance races, they have to add one with 1x Tire wear and 1x Fuel Consumption just change things up a bit since fans are now so used to over-exaggerated tire and fuel consumption in these higher tier 5 lap races and time endurance.

Nearly 19 months in and there's still no races for the F1500Ts.

And don't get me started on the X-cars.

I wonder if the only reason why there's such a big difference in content updates between GT Sport and GT7 is outsourcing. Seems like when GTS came out and met a massive backlash for the lack of cars and tracks PD outsourced, but for GT7 they apparently came back to internal modelling again. Seems kinda silly, if that's the case.

GT7 credits seven companies for model outsourcing, so they still do that.

No if you don't have an xbox or PC, and a lot of people can only afford 1 console (also we need to see how ends up the new forza)
I have a pretty high end gaming PC in addition to my PS5.
I play AC on it, and no I won't buy Forza.
I don't understand why people who are upset about GT would move to Forza.
They have announced that it will be the SAME GAME MODEL AS GT7.
One or more "free" car every month 👌
One "free" track every two or three months (starting at 20 tracks, you'll be waiting 3 years minimum to have the same amount as GT7) 👌
No VR support.
Why would I buy Forza if I have GT7 on PS5?
The real threat for player engagement on GT7 is called Assetto Corsa 2, and I understand why Polyphony Digital seems to not care about Forza.

Maybe it's because outsorced models from GTS are presented in game so they have to credit them?
I really can't think of any other reason why the numbers would drop so siginificantly. In GTS they would sometimes add 10+ cars in a single update, in GT7 that is 3 monthly updates worth of cars. Tracks seems to be taking 3x time as well. And I don't think they are holding a lot of content, if any. Maybe just a bit for GT8, but it's too early to do it actively, unless they plan to release GT8 for PS5 only relatively soon, which doesn't seem to be the case.
If outsourcing is still a thing then I have no idea where it all goes to.

Agree with this. I moved back to playstation due to how bad the last forza was. Well, that and xbox deciding not to support VR. Still boggled by that one.

If the new AC supports VR, and has better wheel FFB, and outputs rumble data to say, Fanatec’s V3’s..thats serious competition.

Well.. I like all the cars in the update. I'm currently in a very competitive GR.4 FF championship. An additional car for the next season has me hyped.

Now, this is what I was talking about earlier, with PD not having to make duplicates or model race cars and leaving players to build replicas. The EG allows us to remove the front splitter, change the rear wing to the stock standard car and add Honda badges. It’s already got the roll cage and it’s a sequential transmission. As much as I’d like the base road going EG6, PD really don’t have to model one.
Of course, PD still could release a “Honda” Civic SiR, but the way things have been with the car releases(E30, Sierra, R32, etc.), PD leave players to do the rest.

With them just increasing prices on cars even more… everything they’ve not accomplished correcting with this game I am done with Gran Turismo. I know for a fact that I WILL NOT be buying GT8. Forget it, no thank you, not going down that road. I’ll play GT7 until GTRevival or AC2 comes out and that’ll be it for Gran Turismo, I thought it would be different this time around but it’s essentially the same game every single release. Grind certain events, earn ridiculously priced cars, the single player feels so similar to previous games with the chase the rabbit garbage.

The game simply is all other GT’s with better graphics and handling. I made an app awhile ago, well I made one app, then copy and pasted my code to make two other apps. Huh, boy was that easy, just had to change assets and artwork etc. It almost feels, like under the hood GT’s are a copy and paste of previous games with tweaks. I don’t foresee them changing that. No GT8 for me. fool me once shame on me fool me almost seven times, I’m an idiot. Lol

I hope everybody got their 3 legends trophy - the Ferrari 330 P4 is now one of the 20,000,000-Cr. unicorns, jumping a whopping 10,500,000 Cr. (110.53%).

Also, the Ford Mark IV Race Car went up 50,000 Cr. to 6,750,000 Cr. At least the Jaguar XJ13 is still 12,000,000 Cr.
Does that impact the sale price for those of us who bought it before the change I wonder...

Anyone noticed the RCR Civic has a non-adjustable anti-roll bar even with a racing suspension? It's permanently stuck at 1, a very soft setting.
