Hi guys. I'm not sure if somebody has already done it but I tried to replicate the BoP restrictions of GTSPORT into GT6, to see how the PP would behave. N300 seems to be similar to 450PP in GT6. In the image here, you'll see how each of the GTSPORT cars, or similar, would do in GT6 with BoP rules.

The TTS is clearly ahead of the pack in terms of PP, followed by the Evo. And the real loser is the Focus ST.

Nice work. 👍
You can clearly see the evidence for your findings in the daily races. The main cars that are be used are the TTS and the EVO. But if you look at the power/weight ratios, other cars should be dominant, like the Renault Megane. But the are not. So there are other factors that are involved, like drivetrains and torque and a secret component. Only PD knows how the PP/BOP are calculated.
In the GR.3 for instance, the Audi R8 LMS has the best power/weight ratio before BOP restrictions and the Nissan GT-R after the BOP has been calculated.
In GT6 the PP System was broken and who knows how accurate the BOP system is.

I'm just generally speaking, no criticism of your posting. :)

Just came off from a night of beta racing. I am absolutely stunned by how good the netcode was in the races. I am on the Asia test but playing in Australia, however the game would connect me with Japan players and HK/TW testers, so it prioritised the East Asia server. Some Australians can show up. But the online opponents functioned with the persistent quality you'd expect from offline play (let's not troll and mention the AI difficulty here haha). Really the next goal for the beta is a stress test by raising the online participant entrants in a single race, and perhaps an open beta for regions in conflicting servers like the Middle East that sees people connecting to Europe or Asia constantly.

Well done to PD.

And this is definitely interesting change!
"Central Outer Loop", so I guess the reverse version is called Central Inner Loop but "Central"?
The reverse version is the other road : no more tents and Playstation billboards on the road. The symetric starting line is another hint.

Loving the racing in Sport mode, especially with SR-S ranking races go a hell of a lot smoother than anything I could've found in a GT6 online lobby. Is it safe to assume that when the game releases Sport races will go on for 24 hours??

Had a go at some PCARS today to compare the two. The key things that hit you is the FFB in PCARS being better (after a lot of tweaking mind) and the improved physics. On the down side the visuals are a significant step down and weirdly the audio is worse for me, PCARS feels like an assault of loud noises. Really really wish they improve the FFB because the overall package is more appealing for me atleast than PCARS.

Honestly not sure how to feel about these changes. On one hand, external noises like wind sound and things like gear changinf sound better, but everything else seems to be going in the opposite direction (tire screech, watered down engine noise, etc). It doesnt seem to be for every car though, as the sounds for the mustang gr.4 sound a lot more meatier than anything before. Is it possible PD held back the sounds of some cars for improvements and plan to re-release them, while for others they are already rolling out better sounds?

Is anyone else having an issue with turning off the braking indicator? It keeps popping up during races and qualifying even though I've turned it on/off multiple times.
Happens to me as well.

I wonder if any of you guys are interested in me making an opinion video on GT Sport and comparing it to older GT and as well rival racing titles and talking about...etc? or simply do Comparison similar to this one i made before?

Double post but I tried the SLS AMG on the Nürburgring in GT Sport, Forza Motorsport 6 and Project Cars so here's my casual thoughts:

GT Sport without any driving aids apart from ABS 1 felt the easiest to drive, much easier. I barely even spun out or lost control. It's easier to push it harder than others and far more forgiving. I can see why they suggest 7 to 77 years old. :P

Now this one surprised me but Project Cars is actually easier to handle than Forza Motorsport 6 with an XB1 controller. I'm not sure how it did happen but I thought I set them both to hardest and pro. In Project cars, you are more likely to spin around than GT Sport if you hit the grass or turned a bit too quick and might twich around but you still can push your car if you're in an easier corners.

Forza Motorsport 6 on the other hand, the car is just twichy everywhere I go and I had to slow down and take it easy. Despite this, I tried several times and I always had several accident where I tried to correct it only to overcorrect and swerve to the other direction and hit the wall or end up in the grass. The lap time is far worse than Pcars and GTS.

Just thought to share this.

When you read a lot of the back and forth in the GTS Forum, especially when comparing games, one might get the impression that the battle lines are drawn and there's a lot of real hatred towards GTS, that none of the "naysayers" would touch the game with a 10 foot pole and I don't believe that is the case at all. I can't speak for anyone else, but most of what I read I take as intellectual banter. It's a frank discussion of the way that GTS and other games handle what we consider the core elements of sim racing: physics, FFB, sound, graphics, features etc. but I think a lot of people read the negative assessments of GTS and think, "Oh he says nothing but negative stuff, why is he here, he's never going to buy the game, why is he so angry etc." I read those same posts and all I think is, "oh he has a good point there, that's true". Of course there are all kinds of people here, but it's best to read the comments and draw out the factual information and forget about what one perceives as the emotion behind the posts.

Ultimately though, you buy the game you think you are going to enjoy the most if you can only afford one. Your friend has his preferences and he does have some good points about PCars2, but ultimately they are like the discussion here, just intellectual banter. They don't say anything about what it's like to actually play the game. Something like controller optimization may be your highest priority if you don't play with a wheel and it might trump everything else. Graphics may be extremely high on your list as well. Being in the GT community when racing offers some advantages too. There are many reasons to buy and play games beyond physics and features, you choose what matters to you and buy the game you think you'll enjoy the most.
Well one reason why I purchased a PS4 in the first place was for Gran Turismo. I think I'll feel a bit empty if I don't get GT Sport...

I wonder which one is the C1 loop the "outer", the "inner" loop or both?

Same here only bought PS4 for exclusives and local-multiplayer party games
If I want to play multiplatform racing games like AC, PCars, Dirt or Forza then I'll use my PC instead

Is anyone else a little worried about the car list as it stands? There's not a single model that's pre-2009, and we've got roughly a third of the list now. I can't fathom a Gran Turismo without any classic cars.

It is what it is. GTS is a reboot of the franchise and with that comes a new approach to the car list. IMO, every other circuit based racing game has a much better list but to each his own

GTS on US PSN was in "Coming Soon" section for few months now. It might have been there since they removed the pre-order or shortly after. Still not there in EU shop.

But does it mean we will actually see some presentation? Last year GTS also was there, but definitely not in the way we expected.

Do Sony even do presentations anymore? Not during the conference but I'd bet there will be a panel.

Will be nice to see at least a new trailer during the conference, not for two days before like some sort of indie game no one care about. The conference is also the best place to announce release date and to start promoting the game. I think "no GTS on conference" equals to "release date is far away".
