Then he said the following: "It takes six months to create a single car. It’s over-specced for PS4 Pro. So we are building for future versions of the console rather than the one we see today".Intrigued by the suggestion that Gran Turismo Sport is being built to work on a theoretical PlayStation 5, whenever it might eventuate, during our one-on-one I asked Kazunori Yamauchi to clarify that comment. He replied, “I think it would be no problem to run it at 8K even.”

In other words :they spend so much time creating cars with super details (thats propably why the current number of cars in the game) and in a next gen concole, this game -or the next one- would be so much better.
With that said and if this actually a real Q & A,GTS is not something people should buy in PS4 since its a game bult for the next gen consoles.

If I remember correctly, Premiums from GT5/6 took 6 months to make as well (at 500k polygons) - I would have thought the cars for GTS would take much longer!

No 787b
No Merc 190E Evolution II
No Ruf Yellowbird

......... The car list, is atrocious.
*sigh,
I mean seriously, how can the game not have a 787b?
Modern cars... have no soul.

At least the game has the Green Hell and Bathurst.

I love how people praise the 787B like it was this almighty race car that nobody could outpace. It was a car that never won anything but Le Mans, and it was only due to it not breaking down like most of its competitors.

Now, I'm not saying it is a horrible car by any means, it's fantastic, it looks great, sounds greater, and is a fun car to watch do its thing, but it's simply not as good as a lot of people make it out to be.

I am a bit sad we wont get to see it return in Sport, but with the fact the Audi Pikes Peak quattro '87 has shown up, for all we know, later on we could get those beautiful Group C machines and much, much more!

Can you quote people praising the 787B like it was an almighty race car nobody could outpace? I see people saying it's iconic, saying they love the sound, saying they love the historic victory the car had at LeMans. I see no one even hinting the car was a classic world beater on the order of a Porsche 935 or an Audi R8. But if you have some quotes I'd love to see them.

8k? Seriously? We've not even scrapped the surface of 4k gaming and some already pretending to go 8k? The world is going insane :dunce:

edit: ah, thats just a clickbait header taken out of context of what Kaz said.

Great intro vid with lot of new stuff

- Tuning is all in but no part shop
- Livery is not only for cars but also for helmet and suits (not sure if you can make custom though).
- Photo sharing space
- Scapes are stunning and you can even have the car drive in some of them
- Max driver level seems to be 50
- MP has Ranked races, quick play races and lobbies
- I think there is still a lot to see from SP, as people have only gone over the first line. Stage 1 mission challenge already has several races for instance, alongside quirky stuff. Circuit experience is for improving your times via a tutorial.
- Certain scapes are exclusive to what manufacturer you join with.
- Arcade has custom race option (wish it wasn't blocked out >.<)

Not the world...Kaz is. Anyone who believes any of this 8k nonsense is dilusional. Kaz said the same thing about GT5-6 cars, would last ten years....Maybe it's time to outsource some car modelling, 6 months for 1 car is hilariously bad management.

Good news for you though. Several years of fodder for your, "I don't have that so therefore it's useless", type of posts:lol:

I tweeted Hollie from PS Access about the custom race option. She said they didn't have the info about what can be altered yet. She told me she'll try to find out.

Thing is you can already choose a car/track/TOD and probably weather in the regular arcade mode. So custom race will have more options than that.

From the video above, let's hope this is some kind of statistical anomaly:

Thats why I asked right before about standard cars. Kaz said GT Sport would still have standard cars that supposedly would have less detail than the better ones. Where are those? It would make all the sense in the world if they kept the GT5/6 premium cars for GT sport and those went to become the standard cars of PS4, they are good enough, much better than the PS2 cars were for PS3.
Anyway you know what other games spend to model each car? For example Assetto Corsa they seem to go slow as hell too.

This should probably be clarified, because there is actually a lack of races for single player. We've known the amount of content it was going to have, but we also knew there wasn't going to be what most people consider an actual race. Isn't the only full lap race the ones that you do after you've completed the full break down of the track? That is the most racing we'll see from sp, most likely. The majority of it seems to be driving tutorials, challanges, and the like.

Sounds promising. The symbol makes me hope for tournaments lol

Its frustrating because journalists are only clicking on the first two. There was a 1 vs 1 race and Gr.4 race in the stage 1 line. I think you have to unlock the others to view them unfortunately.

Most likely, but everything we've heard about it from the multiple reviews, the info released, as well as what the staff here has stated, there really isn't many races within it. Like I said I know they have that lap after you finish the breakdown of the whole track, but is that more than one lap? That is what I'm not sure of yet.

It's not the press's fault PD's communication is downright awful...all this negativity and they still say nothing about SP, why not Clarify? Probably because they know the truth will cause more backlash.

Wait I think you are getting confused:

Driving school - license tests
Mission challenge - challenges that include full races
Circuit Experience - race solo to improve sector and lap times

I was talking about the second. It seems you are talking about the third.

Regardless of what I'm talking about, the only section that actually looks to have a race is the one I'm talking about. I have not seen one thing that shows Mission challenge having full races. Anywhere I can read up on that as I may have missed it otherwise.

The video I just linked -___-
and commented on how there was a 1 vs 1 and Gr.4 race in the first line of challenges.
The 1st is a knock over the cones mission. The 2nd I see the roadster vs roadster, but what I'm hoping is that its not the usual one lap stint to whoever reaches the end of the lap first, which is what the majority of those license test turn into. the 3rd is a top speed run. 4th is titled Flat out, which I would assume is staying on throttle as much as possible. 5th is labeled highway cruising. The 6th, a gr4 is literally a one lap stint, that is not what I'd consider a race. I do see the GR4 race at the end, but what I was saying is that I hope they're actually literally races, not one lap stints that they seem to look like.

Even if races exist here and there in the Campaign Mode, that's not going to cut it. There isn't any sign of actual events spanning multiple races, championships, and endurance races where you can enter with cars you own. That's what people want from single player in GT.

Let's wait and see what options are there in custom arcade races - could be a saving grace for offline of this game.

He said no such thing mate. He was asked about standards, he said he couldn't throw them away because too many fan favourites. We'll keep them on archive. That is NOT we will put them in the next game.

... Is this Fun/sarcastic post?
