Why would they not? The FIA E-Sports thing is a tie in. I doubt that the deal gave the FIA any say on game content that Kaz could or could not include. Especially as the academy is an E-Sports event at it's core.

Maybe they see the GTA as a E-Sport competitor or don't want to collaborate because it's sponsored by Nissan?
Could be a lot of reasons.

But they are 2 different things though. One is the quest to find a real new driver, the other is an FIA prize giving event. I don't see any conflict with those really.

What would be their problem with Nissan also? I don't recall any Nissan vs FIA spats before :)

I don't think we'll hear anything soon.

Xmas maybe, but that's Soon in PD land for sure! :lol:

I don't know but i wish i would. It was just a thought from me.

Contracts can be complex.
Look at Driveclub and Nissan. You can't put liveries on Nissan cars or every paint because of licensing issues.:banghead:
(or was it just the Skyline? Please someone correct me if im wrong)

No changes to the UI, just the background. Instead of a slideshow of their offices, a playback of some of their recent trailers. I hope to see some news in the coming weeks; PD has to speak up sometime.

Corrected it, hehe. ;) Just kidding. At this time, I'll just let me surprise. If I'd be asked about what month I think the news will pop up, I'd say June. There's the Pikes Peak event, Goodwood and that stuff. May seems good as well, because of the 24h race at the Nürburgring. Why the 24h race, you ask?

Anyone remember when we first saw this gif and we all thought GT6 will be a complete revolution in terms of physics ? :lol:
 
Why do I get the impression that some of us are assuming the worst? The lack of information baffles pretty much everyone, yet we can somehow draw conclusions about the game? It doesn't seem right. I'm just sitting here hoping that something great will come out from PD.
 
GTA being on PS3 would be a bad sign. As others have said there is only one logical reason for that, and it's that PD are behind on PS4 development. What other reason would you have for hosting a 2016 competition on a console that is now otherwise totally unsupported by Sony in terms of new software? It's not like PS4 has been out a few months and they've not had time so are sticking to the old console, it's been out nearly 2.5 years. That they've seemingly not got anything ready and stable enough to be able to host a GTA is worrying.
 
Maybe not behind, maybe stretched too thin to focus on gta for ps4 when they have gtsport to worry about. Get GTS out first, then worry about the academy stuff. It wasn't a PD employee so who can tell what they know.
