Good to see that during the car's color selection we can see either the exterior or interior in full screen. I didn't like that split-screen. Maybe we can change the view with a button.
Ah good spot. I quite liked it, but yeah, good to have the option.
I still hope we have some kind of 1st person 'wander round the car at leisure' mode...
Like Playstation Home (RIP) but just for cars.
So they are already preparing the launch of the PS4.5 version of GTS..
PoDi developing two versions simultaneously would explain a couple of things. The RedBull interview suggests Sony kindly asked journalists not to ask or mention anything about the rumored upgraded console. I do hope E3 will bring all the speculation out of the mist. Supposing for a second that the thing mainly exists in order to sustain more visually demanding VR games; it would be particularly perplexing Gran Turismo Sport wasn’t part of Neo’s launch software party.

If they set it up so you can only play GTS on the new system only, for the VR. I'm sure the company will fail. I bought my PS4 expecting years of game releases. Not to play a few games and then buy a new system just to play game that should have been released last year. I'm tired of companies acting like Apple, expecting us to run out and buy the new POS. I worked 48 hours straight to get enough of a Thanksgiving bonus to buy it a year after release. I'm not going to kill myself again to buy another system a year later! I still don't even have a supported wheel!Just a speculative thought..
What if the Copper Box GTS PS4 build was just the downgraded "PS4 Neo" version of the game? So they are already preparing the launch of the PS4.5 version of GTS..
Well, mainly the lesser content seen so far but also for example the rushed trailer. What couple, exactly?

You can be sure there will be a proper Neo version of GTS. It makes sense to showcase the hardware power with one of the main Sony franchises and one that is known to produce amazing realistic visuals. Sony always demand PD to showcase new tech, like 3D, 1080p, VR, and PD seems to enjoy this cutting edge things.
Also, an insider on Neogaf said that GTS and God of War 4 are some of the games which will showcase the power of Neo.
Well the Neo is substantially more powerfully than the standard ps4 so you expect the neo version of games to look much better.Oh god, can you imagine the rage if variable weather was NEO-only? 🤬🤬🤬

Yeah, but Sony stipulated no extra features.
(if the eurogamer article is to be believed)
Separation of, or greatly changed features, should not exist on one and not the other. That would be foolish.PS4: Time and Weather manually set by the user at the start of the event
PS4 NEO : Time and Weather set by the console on the fly
Same feature but handled differently depending console.
Just an example, of course.

Ooh, we're in a dangerous grey area here aren't we?
That is much more easier to pass off to everyone as that is just changing the amount of players on a local setting. A major gameplay feature that greatly changes the way one game reacts is different then just allowing more people to play simultaneously. Not only that, but it will create a virtual divide with online play, and for a game so focused on that, it would be pretty ridiculous. The example given by Eurogamer on how features needed to be handled was split screen; suggesting a 2 player split screen on PS4 vs a 4 one on NEO was perfectly acceptable. Of course the number of allowed simultaneous players does influence gameplay, doesn't it.
No. This insider said that GT Sport will use power of Neo for VR. And for God of War 4, this game will take advantage of the Neo for all.
I highly doubt that there will be a dynamic weather for Neo. According to Eurogamer, Sony doesn't allow exclusive features to the Neo.

This whole Neo thing is foolish, but these two situations don't exactly have the same impact at all.
I know what you're saying, and I'm saying that its a foolish route. Your reply to the comment as if to justify things made it seem like that's what you where implying though. I'm not excluding anything, just voicing what I think about the subject.Just to make thing clear, I'm not suggesting that is how things will turn out. But reading the so called rulebook, you just can not exclude that it could happen. It's more about ticking the boxes than making sure there is equality in gameplay. Sure NEO could potentially handle bigger grids and not contravene with the rules too.
What I feel, if the reason is that they can not get full dynamic weather optimized well enough, is that more selection is better than none at all. They obviously still want it in the game, so they are going to do what they can to at least give you options to select as many ToD as you can. Its better than nothing if that's the case.On the point on time and weather: why has PD opted for an engine that lets you select the time of the day instead of having a fixed one with baked day or night? Also we have seen daytime at different hours already, so if not realtime you could still qualify PS4 engine as dynamic in the first place. Not going to speculate any further but sure you can twist the reported "rules" with a good margin.

Forza 4 did not have a full dynamic ToD, and its track selections for time seems to be the exact same thing that's going on here.
No one is twisting rules, I have no idea what you even mean by that. What rules are you talking about?
