Asked over Facebook about car count (20, 50 or over hundred) and support of old logitech wheels:

PDIs answer:

Hi Ronald, thanks for your kind words and understanding. While I can't go into details (as we don't really know yet... lots is happening right now!) I can tell you that GT Sport will have more than 100 cars. The wheels are a more complicated matter as it's not entirely up to our decision, so sometimes we have to compromise (PS4 can accept old peripherals only if the original manufacturer develop new drivers).

Finger crossed we'll have many good news to share soon.

Hey, nice contribution ron86, this is legit?

Reported for using the thread for legitimate reasons when you should sticking the boot into someone who had left.

Seriously guys, leave Zlork alone. It's conduct unbecoming for a GTPlanet member to play the poster rather than the post. If he's gone then he's gone.

Facebook answer: (I asked if the lack of info was because of the FIA whole thing and for news about gt6)

We´re very happy to work with FIA so we´re traying to make everybody happy. It´s not only them
, we have a lot of others parties to negotiate with, so it takes time. Once more details are finalised (hopefully soon) we´ll make new announcements for GT Sport and GT6

edit: Next question is if both games will share any feature

How come everyone is getting responses from the FB page? I messaged them over a week ago and got no response back.

Edit: they have since responded this afternoon. I can only assume the FB page gets checked every so often, so whoever messaged them today would likely get an immediate response whilst their PR rep was checking the page.

Well done, some actually new and possibly correct information! :D

If that's right then content-wise that seems pretty consistent with the description of GT Sport as "not GT7, but more than a Prologue".

Its definitly legit, is from The official Gran Turismo Facebook page via messenger. I just dont know how to post a sceenshot over my iphone

Take a snapshot (home button + wake button) and upload it.

Great stuff! Nice one... This is more substantial than all of that whole Cyril nonsense... :)

Technically they've all been getting the same answers with slightly different wording. It all just summarizes to "check back here soon".

This is extremely good news for Fanatec owners as we know that Fanatec has drivers for PS4.

Oh I agree, and there's an argument to be made that it's easier to create engaging content for a small amount of assets than it is for a huge amount.

But the idea that GT6 didn't have lots of events because it had lots of cars is laughable. GT6 didn't have lots of events because Polyphony chose not to spend time making events. Nothing to do with room or cars or anything else. Either it was misplanning or it was completely intentional. Probably a bit of both.

It's funny because probably the best thing that they could do would be make a shortish 20-30 hour career mode, and then simply have an event creator. Preferably one that could share created events online. Let the player choose the cars, the level of AI, the restrictions, and all the other variables that go into making a good event.

Sure, it'd be a bit of work to make a user-friendly interface for it. But they probably have the basis for something already, considering that they regularly make seasonal events. They'd be morons not to have created some sort of tool to make that easy on themselves. Polish it up and put it in the game, and suddenly there's infinite content. Let the players make endurance races if they want them, or one makes, or head to head shootouts, or whatever.
For reference, take a look at the GT4 events. It structured beter than GT5 and GT6. And now the majority of it are now influencing the Forza 6 events (Example like the event where you chase down older cars after you start seconds behind. Good times on the GT4).

I just hope the next GT, the events structured better like they used to do. I knew they can do it. They just dont use that potential.

I know it's Project CARS, but these are all the wheels that are compatible with the PS4 without using any external workaround devices.

Yeah I'm aware of that. I use my Fanatec CSW V2 with P Cars on PS4 and hope to also use it for Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally. However, some information Thomas from Fanatec posted recently threw into doubt the use of Fanatec wheels going forward, so the reply above from Facebook is a hopeful sign.

It seems that Sony developers can only use official licensed wheels
"As a Sony published title we're only allowed to support officially licensed peripherals."
"Sony are our publisher. They decide what peripherals we can and can't support."

New answer from Facebook! It is about special bundle ps4 with gts:
Hi Slava, we are thinking of making a special PS4 bundle for GT Sport, but no details have been confirmed yet.

If you want to play other great PS4 games then by all means buy a PS4 now!

Thanks for ruining my Friday lol!

Well guess that's another reason GT Sport won't be finding it's way to my PS4.

He's not going anywhere. He gets everything he wants right here.

I assume all these 'messenger' screenshots are private messages as I can't see them on Facebook via my PC.

I can't believe PD go clandestine even through a public Facebook page..scratch that, this is classic PD.

I really do think they are deliberately taking the P now.

It's not really clandestine if you aren't saying anything that isn't deliberately vague or isn't already public knowledge or easily guessable.

I wasn't talking of the content in the messages, but about the fact they are private messages and the willingness of whomever is doing the answering seems to prefer doing it privately. There are hundreds of questions on the public Facebook page (on my PC), yet few replies. PD are like the MI6 of game developers!

Considering they have around 500 "premiums" already, in GT6, that were said to be designed for the PS4, I don't think hearing more than 100 cars is surprising. Anything less than around 500 or more means they simply left cars out. (which they might do depending the nature of the game)

And they've all been privately answered PR non-answers. So they're not really doing anything at all.

"Bigger than a prologue" already kind of guaranteed 100+ cars. We've already seen this generation what happens to games that go from massive content to minimal high quality content in the FM4 to FM5 jump. It was not received well, at that was Day 1 of the console release, not three years later.

I'm yet to see anything answered through Facebook that wasn't at least fairly obvious already. More than 100 cars is technically new information, but with PD's premium catalogue and the current state of the competition if they were going to release GTS with less than 100 cars then they might as well pack up and go home.

Frankly, I will find it hilarious if they spent the whole PS3 generation "future proofing" their assets for PS4 and then they don't end up using them.
