Northeast here. I think I have a chance to get into the top 128, but after that I'm not so sure. I've seen some insanely fast people online.

I think I'll start practicing with the TT 370Z I just won.

I wouldn't call it GT Academy North America, more like just America since Canadians can't participate 👎

I don't really care or expect to make it to the finals in something like this, I'm past that point in my life where I can drop everything to chase a racing dream. It would be nice to be able to post a time just to see how I stack up though.

I managed 15th in Canada in the GT5 TT (would have been 32nd in the US, but 1028th! globally).

From reading the rules, it looks like if I falsely registered as a US resident I could theoretically (if I was fast enough) bump someone out of the later rounds since they only verify your identity once you get to round 3. I guess I'll just be watching from the sidelines this time.

I'll try time trial the same track and see how I would rank; now that I have my playseat (didn't have it for the GT5 Demo Time Trial-but at least Canadians had a chance to participate:tup

Perhaps in recognizing that Mexico and Canada are part of North America; the thread creator would re-name the thread to American Academy 👍

Going to sign up for this, I am a Northeast player. Don't think I have a shot as I'm still playing with a controller But the DLC is what I want. Who knows... This might be the only time you can get access to THIS DLC!
