Just a couple of announcements to make:

1. There will be an extra practice room for the race at Ascari tonight at around 11:30pm EST. We will probably just focus on setups and tuning for tonight. So if you can make it, please come on out!

2. A few issues have been brought up about people not following the tuning guide up at the front. These are currently being looked into, and decisions will be made quickly. I am all for giving drivers a second chance, but repeat offenders are subject to disqualification and will not be permitted to compete in the remainder of the series.

3. This last one is a question for you guys. We've already had four races under out belts and have experienced the reverse grid for race 2. However, I think we've noticed that race 2 each week is a little more hectic than race 1 is. So my question to you is this:

Should we continue using reverse grid to set up race 2?

The alternatives that I can think of would be to set the grid by the race finish, not reversed. Or a second, perhaps shorter qualifying session. We don't have to worry about this this week, as there is only one race. But I would like to know what people think about this.

And I would like to apologize for my actions in race 2, I felt like I messed up a lot of good cars being a little too aggressive early on. The two cars in front of my jumped on the brakes sooner than I thought, and I basically plowed into both of them. I'm pretty sure that also messed some people up behind me. I strive to improve my race craft with every race, I just hate to do it like that.

Tuesday and Thursday are still on schedule for next week. See everyone at Ascari!

On the subject of the second race, maybe we should do a reverse grid but do a first lap in the order our cars are. Meaning we do a pace lap an on the front straight the lead car starts the race.

On the note of messing up Flip, everyone was guilty at some sort of messing people up the second race. We are all striving to improve our race craft in this series.

I have a few things to say and I'm gonna sound like a dick and have an ego.

1. The pp system is not even close to reliable in GT6 as far as car balancing. Running everything at 501pp WILL NOT WORK. Flip and whoever helped did an amazing job with the regs on the main page and the cars are VERY close in lap times. I create regs and test them for a lot of people on GTPlanet and I have tested all of the cars we run before the season even started. FWD tire wear is one thing that is uncontrollable. If you give FWD cars 6+ mph on the straights them it will be impossible to pass and STAY in front of them. I know this for a fact because I've dealt with this very same problem before.

2. Anyone who thinks I set the fastest lap times because I'm driving the BMW is kidding themselves. The Lexus and Miata are faster than the BMW, I chose the BMW so it would be a challenge for myself. I am usually the fastest person in any room I go to driving anything. Call it cocky if you want but it's the truth. I will help anyone here who wants help with setups and driving techniques. I will post my BMW setup for Silverstone and challenge anyone to run 57.8 consistently.

3. People are not staying true to the power and weight requirements listed on the main page. These people know who they are and your not cheating anyone but yourself. Hopefully they run the correct regs tonight.

OZ, we did a test race to original regs at madrid. integra had a small top speed advantage but suffered everywhere else. I was able to out qualify you. You won by 18 secs once the realities of tire wear and the performance and handling deficit of FF cars came to. Still you complained and had the rules changed to your advantage. No one can possibly be as quick as you as you are superior at GT6 so anyone gets close you knock them down with regs. Amazingly everyone jumps on board without so much as a second thought and get happily and thoroughly spanked every week.

At Monza, tuned to regs you were a full second a lap quicker. Period. I know Monza well and it is not setup and driving. No chance. At Silverstone again you were close to second quicker as was the Miata. Both times I won race 2 due to crashes at the start. Again integra hard to handle due to FF and tire wear, but improvements in my driving style and set up made this less of an issue. Still, in race 1, I battled with Draqua most of the way and he would kill me in the corners only for me to edge him enough on the straights to barely stay in front. I beat him by 0.2secs after 24 laps and that is how this series should be. close racing with equal chance. I am sure Draqua would like it if I didn't have better straight line speed than him and he could just blow by in the corners and leave me in the dust. not much fun in that for anyone, is there?

The point here is simple. Either the PP limit and therefore Hp of the integra changes back to at least 495 (no turbo) or I am sorry but I will withdraw my entry.

um can someone tell me where I finished in the two races last night? Cuz I feel like I have two top 10s right now. also about the river school red I really do like the reverse grades because it gives people that finish last in the first race a chance at winning the second one.

I have mixed feelings about reverse grid. I loved it at Silverstone because I could hold my own a little there and didn't get run over at the start, but typically it's not fun because I end up off track because someone faster nudges me over or I screw up trying to avoid holding up faster drivers. But at the same time I also like the opportunity I get to start in the front and learn a little from the faster cars too, I can't do that starting in the back every race.

When I get home I'll be able to tell you. I have the replays

You finished 11th in race one and got disconnected in race two, that is where the 1 point came from. But there is time for you to drop that score later in the series, year end will only be your best 10 finishes.

When the round 5 will happen?

The race for round 5 will be on Thursday night, room opens at 11:15pm Eastern Standard Time (USA). We will have a practice session tonight and on Tuesday night, both at 11:30pm EST.

1st of all if you want to compare driver to driver I'm faster than you. Im usually faster by a second than the fast drivers in the same car. I guess I have an unfair advantage in Autobachs also since I got pole and fast lap in both races so far driving the GTR not the Lexus which is faster.

But what I find is the most ironic thing about your post is that your complaining about regs and top speed yet after the turbo was removed from the integra you still run stage 3 engine and a turbo which are both banned and you have been since monza. If it was my series I would have kicked you for that alone and having 7+ mph advantage on a straight is a huge deal. Your impossible to pass and stay in front if you can drive which draqua proved at Silverstone in race one. Maybe you should look to yourself for extra time and not the car. You talk about Madrid but when I was catching you you ran into the same wall every lap. So I doubt it was all tire wear and after I caught you, you also ran into the chicane wall so please stop.

Now I'm going to give a huge congrats to miata/somebody because I know he is legit and he won with the miata which is supposed to be slower according to you. Draqua is in the same car and also running engine tunning yet miata/somebody left him in the 1st race. (no disrespect Draqua)

I agree with you miata13b. We need to have a pace lap for race 2. Even the endurance races. I like the reverse grid too. But with the faster drivers in the back for the start of the second race. Things get hectic quickly

If we can work it out, I'm not against the idea of doing pace laps. The only place I don't like it is the Nurburgring, because we're gonna be on the Type V circuit and that would take way too long.

So after last night, enjoy guys :-) 1394238793837.jpg

Yeah your the best OZ. you never make mistakes only get DCd. good luck

Guys, guys!!! relax!! jajajajaj. this is a game!!!.
I´m going to say (in my short english) my opinion about that.
I tested the integra with the old specifications in pre-season and feel the amazing speed but decline used because burn front tires fast and its easy makes mistakes. Even if you try to not make mistakes, always have that risk that limited your performance.
I´m a MORTAL... and know my limits, i prefer the bmw because is a mix... it´s heavy but have a lot of torque to defend the position in and out the corners against the mazda and VW,... and you can attack the fastest cars in straight line.
When the penalties are on (that was not the case in Silverstone)... the luck of the Integra in Silver... is finished in the first and third corner (please penalties ON the next time).
I think everybody choose the cars thinking the best and worst of them from the beginning and is not fair changing the regs now.
Ascary have a mix of lots fast and slow corners... it´s going to be a nightmare for the integra and the heaven for the mazda... if they start on the front!... (penalties ON please!!!)

Ascari is definitely going to be one hell of a race.

As for Silverstone I ran the practice room with penalties on which I always do. El, you have the right attitude towards this and I will continue to battle it out with you :-).

As for the compliance of regs, I will say Timee, you are not the only one under scrutiny here. Unfortunately, you are getting called out here about your setup, which is under question right now. Oz and You seem to have a history beyond this series. Whatever history you guys have needs to be taken care of outside of this thread. Remember your setup is not the only setup under question, the main reason that it is being brought to attention is the fact that you are fast Timeee. Whenever you place in the front, things are called foul.

You can tell through replays what mods are done to cars. I know you had a battle with a car during the first race that was running mods that were not allowed either. That is being taken care of currently as well.

I don't want to lose you Timeee in this series, but you also must do what you feel is best for you. Racing against Oz and You has only benefited me and I guarantee it benefits every other racer in this series to make us better and faster.

So I've given some thought to the idea of doing a pace lap with a rolling start that a few people have suggested. We seem to agree on the reverse grid for race two (and I'm with you guys on that), and I think this can alleviate some early race congestion. All we would do is add one lap to what is listed on the schedule, as to keep the actual race distances the same. This post turned out a bit longer than I thought, but if we go ahead with this, this is how I feel is should go.

I think double file starts are going to be the way to go with some kind of speed limit. But to make it easier, we don't have to be double file the whole way around. We would have to pick a place to start doubling up, something like a corner or two before, and lower the speed limit. So far, I'm liking 70 mph as the double file speed. Single file could be a bit faster, that may depend on the leader. We don't really want to push our cars too hard on the pace lap, that's not the point. Obviously, no passing. And once lined up, no brake checking right before acceleration.

The other thing we would have to agree on for each week is the acceleration point. I had something more complicated here, but I think it would just be easier to say that the start/finish line is where you can start accelerating.
Acceleration for you would start when your car crosses the start line, not when the leader starts.

Cars with an odd numbered starting position form qualifying will always start on the inside of turn one, even numbered positions on the outside for turn one. This will change depending on the direction of each track. The WTCC does actually have a guideline that I like in terms of space between the two rows, and it's drive thought the grid lines on your side of the track. Some tracks don't have this, but don't be on top of each other.

And we won't do this on the Nurburgring. That's a 20 minute pace lap that isn't necessary. And that line up will already be fastest to slowest.

So if you guys are willing, we can give this a try on Tuesday when we run some practice races. If you guys have microphone, it might be a good idea to bring them. The reason why we've run without is that in the past, I've noticed that running without mics makes the room run smoother. However, for something like this, I think communication is going to be important. Let me know what you guys think, I think it's worth a shot.

Hey, just as a heads up for our overseas drivers, the US just entered daylight savings time. Everything is now 1 hour ahead. I hope this doesn't cause any problems.
