It probably wasn't released in Brazil because of piracy issues, I can't see any othe reason to miss out such a large market.

I never said I was proud of it, actually I would like to buy original games, I just can´t afford it.
Playstation not having official release here its a problem, cause then we dont get official games releases here, we have to import them. Thats why 9 out of 10 games here are pirates.
An original game costs US$ 50 right? And theres extra costs with the imports, the final price here is US$70 i think. And pirate dvd games cost US$ 3, and are much more easy to find.... Which one would u buy?
And about the console not being released here because of piracy its true, but then again sony brought PS2 to China....

The chinese PS2 is completely bomb proof... 
......its actually quite funny because they have made it have no screws so it is un-openable..like the plastic is one whole piece, the games are encripted and so is the software inside the PS2. Its tamper proof and able to recognise pirated copies and will either reject the disk or lock up the PS2 so you have to take it for offcial service so sony can lock you up for piracy!
However they still have managed ways around this......and if all else fails they just go over to Hong Kong and buy a normal PS2 there and get it chipped!

There´s always a way to get around this lock ups, at least so far.
Even the GameCupe could have piracy, they just dont make it cause they think the proffit will not be worth it.
I hope that until we get official PS2, or PS3 representation here in Brazil we can manage to use backups to play. Cause is the only way I can get to play PS2 and Xbox games, if there was no pirate games I wouldn´t have a PS2, cause I just can´t afford to buy original games.

I aswell have a modded PS2, just so that i can play games form all regions. Games that i respect such as GT, GTA, MGS, Ace Combat, i buy in original format, but games that i know are not very good, i just rent and burn them on a blank DVD, and vuala there is your original copy. Just think about it, what is better:
1. To buy a game that you think is not very good for 60$, and then beat yourself for spending so much on a piace of crap after playing it?
2. Or for 60$ rent about 20 games and burn them all to have a huge selection of games?

Videos are coming tomorrow, had a loads of job to do this week ao I have to delay really important thingz like making videos as promised.
As I can promise, there's gonna be widescreen (hopefully, if Calisto made the phuckn hardware work) video of Nurb drive with 120d, Capri drive with 120i, and NY Prologue/BMW Virtual comparasion. Also expect one nifty "What's New Crash Effect" video with some heavy crashes and sliding and skidding parts.

Ouch 440MB, is it really worth the download? Even though I am on DSL I do have a download limit even though its quite a lot. I am not doubting your video amar, just get scared off by large files. lol

Great, thanks amar! I'll be reviewing the videos for IGN in my column, this weekend I'm posting my thoughts on the first one and if the vids are up soon enough (that bittorrent worked great btw) I may be able to discuss them in the column too. 👍
Looking forward to the vids. Btw, I think DivX is a lot better, certainly a good alternative to the quicktime, and much smaller ...
Oh and if you want I could post the vids on IGN also. Then they would automatically become available as smaller WMV files. Just let me know ...

Amar, I think you should make 2 vids of each one. One of a super high quality huge file for all of us DSL/CABLE/T1'ers, and another one for the 56k'ers/complainers. This way we all get what we want. But if you do decide to make only one, PLEASE make it a HUGE, gigantic file that is super-high res? Thanx

You should make the videos about 100-150MB, so I could download it overnight.

oh yea and make them quick time..........because the window media player file you cant download them off the site it only loads on to your player almost like you are streaming the video.
