Since New York and Amalfi are 1/6th as big as the Ring, the vids will be 1/6th as big. Or 1/12th as big if he doesn't make 1 vid have two different race views (I don't think that's necessary...) Except for that other Ring vid he's doing, but it probably won't be 20 minutes long...ROAD_DOGG33J

I liked the way Amar did the first video. The incar view, followed by the reply was the perfect way to do it. I normally use the 3rd person view to race, so the reply was of more interest to me. But others will be more interested in the incar racing view. He makes almost everyone happy by having both. And I suppose it lets Amar produce the video quicker with less hassle.
The quality was very good. If the quality can be kept with a more efficiant format then fine, otherwise same again please.
If that size/quality is to big for anyone, then you'll have to wait for someone to make it smaller. Start off with the best quality, and then dilute it, so to speak, onto other formats. You can't do it the other way.
I can't wait to see and hear the diesel, and see the Amalfi track.

why not use divx to make it smaller?

Not if you do it right, use the official divx Pro codec (the latest one) and use all the high deffinition settings and you can't tell the difference. Trust me, all I encode video all day, divx is the best thing under the sun right now, unless someone can enlighten me? I'm going to download it and run a test and see how it turns out.

it doesnt matter how big the file of that video is sorry for the 56k people but i hope that file is preety big so the reslution and the quality of that video is still ther..................and by the way when is amar goign to get the videos?

Thats the point, video quality and resolution will stay the exact same, only file size will drop. Once the download finishes I'll encode it and show screen shots of the original and the divx version as well as the file sizes and you can see for yourself...Rohanmalvea

Whatever we get will be more than we would have gotten otherwise, so that's good 👍 Size doesn't bother me extraordinarily.
I believe making a profit from selling videos of the demo would be illegal as well.

I've never heard of .qt, so I don't know. But from my experience, .mp4 gets good quality from low file sizes. Just look at the Prologue Videos I've made with mp4s.Eagle

Yeah, it's just a shame that IGN doesn't allow posting of DivX yet, or else I'd be posting much smaller files with much greater resolution and quality. www.divx.com rules ... mp4 an divx are very similar.
