the only time you are really gonna "feel" bumps is in a race car where the supension is setup hard.

here are all these ppl driving around a "bumpy" track in ROAD cars with SOFT setup suspension, is my point coming across i hope so coz i dont think i could make it any simpler.

you know the bmw has a soft setup especially when you "see" how the weight shifts in the bmw towards the front under braking with the nose dipping toward the ground.

1.5 cm out fair dinkum guys grow up. over a bloody huge track that it is, 1.5cm out is brilliant lets see you get out and walk the track and not be out by as little as that. if you have seen any behind the scenes on games that is how they map out the track, further evidenced on the dvd bundled in prologue.

I sat down after downloading the .mov vid and ran the 956 lap of NR next to it
and while some of the lows in between crest were a little more exagerated on the demo you have to remember i was also comparing a bmw series 1 with a 956, so i put it down to different ride heights of car and camera positions, which PD have done well to incorporate. which brings me to my next point what car does/did herbert last drive around NR in my guess is it wasnt a DB9 which in my thinking would have a higher sight vantage point than a low ground hugging open/closed wheeler. i paused the 956 film every few corners while the beamer caught up hehe as the 956 does the whole circuit in around 6.5 mins.

btw 99%, i would say, of the bumps that were "visible" in the 956 film were also replicated in the demo film.

i for one applaud what PD have been able to do with the ps2 and GT4 and having driven prologue with the DFP, im hanging out to do the rest of this awesome game with it.

i know it is frustrating having to wait but just dont bi**h about it as it only makes the wait longer. especially when you constantly find little nitpicking faults to complain about. If anything you guys sound as if you personally had some money invested in this game and are now whinging like shafted consumers when you havent even played it let alone bought it.

I leave you with final question have PD yet made a s***e GT game? If they ever do then by all means hang heaps of crap on them. Till then SHUT THE **** UP.

PS thankyou amar and co for the time and effort put in to make the film possible it really fired me up more to do a respond to the nutjobs in the forum and also hanging out big time for this game.

HUDSONJONES
great vids, but how did you have citta 2 (backwards) or is it a case of just doing the track the wrong way round??
It's just running the wrong way around. You have to go forward a little bit before you start going backwards though, because otherwise you're stuck with the bumper cam.

Amar, before you leave, please tell me this. I'm sure you have seen the new gt4 pics that look smooth as hell.........I want to know if the graphics in the demo you have look as good as the new pics of gt4.

First my apppologies, Jordan is first on the list (for keeping the sever opened) because I did nothing this weekend.

I've just got back from a little trip, and unfortunatelly, in less then 48 hours I'll be heading to my vacation which will last untill mid August.

I'm not sure will I be able to hook up Calisto to do the promised vids, but I'll see to do them before I leave. If so, I'll be happy for not letting down all of you who are waiting for them.

And as for _aj's notice, just one info: I am Croatian, and there is no need to check my IP for that, but please do so if ya want. I'm heading to the vacation on Croatian Adriatic coast and islands, one of the most beautiful places in the world, and you're all invited to come here and have the time of your life.

After all, Croatia is a small country fot the Gran Turismo, so check it for yourself:)

Hope I'll se ya all before Tuesday night.

I've got an idea Amar: just send me the demo disc before you go on holiday, and i'll make some more vids!!! :) :)

Enjoy your holidays, and thanks for the work sofar!!!

First of all, congratulations to alpine man - you've just posted an 666th post here, so that counts:).

As for all, unfortunatelly, you're not gonna see new movies until August 18th when I come back from hollydays.

Thank you for your anticipation, and I'm so sorry that I've let you down for time being. Thank Jordan for giving me a lot of server space to post the first movie, and I promise the new movies will be the first thing to do after I come back.

Hopefully, someone will maybe get a chance to have this disc soon in time to come, so maybe the movies will be here even before I manage to do them.

Have a nice summer all of you on my part of the hemisphere:).

See ya all soon.

Ah... I got the direct link from the one and only Jordan and it will be waiting for me when I return from work... Thank god for Getright and Great administrators.... and for Amar212...

Hopefully GetRight managed to shutdown my PC correctly for me too!!!

Great job amar! And welcome to GTP TrinityJayOne.

i see you have the girl off Cowboy Bebop. Faye isn't it? Or something like that?

Welcome?! I've been here for ages!! Well, a month or so...>_>' I just haven't posted much recently due to outside commitments like study, moderating another forum and bringing down the matrix.

And yes, it's Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop.

I'm sure you've all already seen it, but the other thread someone started on this same movie has a much faster download link. Not only will you get it sooner (if you haven't already), you'd be saving GTP 400Mb of bandwidth. ;)

wow, wow,WOW,WOOOOOOOW     , That was awsome, ive just watched the vid that amar212 has done and wow good work on the movie man 👍 :) , That track looks awsome I WANT GT4 NOW :banghead: :banghead: , Cheers going to watch it now again :)

Sure; it's actually the perfect video for making a comparison as it is first-person view without the dash at a similar ride height (of course, you'll be pausing the M3 CSL video at times since it's so much faster than the 1 series ;)).

One fun thing that I've been doing the past few minutes is giving the GT4 video a head start and watching the M3 CSL "catch up" :D The Ring in GT4 is truly to scale; when coming around a corner and facing a straight, it looks remarkably close to the real thing!

The only thing that one might complain about is that the braking animation is indeed overly done. We all knew that, anyway.

Here is the link:

Enjoy; marvel at what PD has achieved with this game!

BTW, start the M3 CSL video from 1:08 to match the beginning of the GT4 lap.

Also, people can stop complaining about a lack of bumpiness as the M3 vid confirms that it is all there and done correctly.
