New Silvia time, hacked off .290 from T1 and .6 from my final
I used Casio's silvia settings (holl's didn't do it for me) but modified to drift a lot more. I would rather have lots of oversteer than understeer :)

Silvia Forward
13.320
29.506

Elise Reverse
9.515
25.221

54.727, much better
Now to work on T2 with the Elise

I didn't realize this before but my HP on the Elise dropped down to 216 at some point. I didn't think you loose the HP after the first oil change. So I changed the oil a second time and it went back up to 219. why does it do that?

B/C PD is GAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

And I'd like to give props to Andrew (shockwaveracing) for his recent goings on here at GTP, you've really improved as of late dude, great job! And Steve, you too are an alien now IMO 👍

cheers mate...

i have decided this week i am going to try something different, i have tried (unsuccessfully) to catch Dan this week doing Silvia Forward-Elise Reverse, so i am going to try and get the fastest time i can going the opposite ie Elise Forward-Silvia Reverse and see how close i am at the end of the week to the fastest time... i hope to be close (i think the leaderboard is a little misleading and Dan may be a bit more than 0.4 in front of me overall, we shall see...

and Francisco, damn dude, you are back with a bang this week going on your splits you are hauling the mail...

Another good time with the Elise:
Elise Reverse
9.516 (saw a .449, blew it 2 corners later)
25.089 (.012 from holl, I will eventually top it....but I messed up the hairpin)

Silvia Forward
13.320
29.506

54.595, finally ahead of jump_ace

I need to take a break...heck I am walking in a racing line (unfortunatly this results in hurting shoulders if you cut a corner too hard :P)

 You're FLYING, man! I finally sat down for a bit at this combo, I'm going to be doing Elise from the front, and Silvia from the back... Not because I tested them that way and liked the way they felt better, but just because I feel that I need to go around the front faster than the rear...

So far we've only gotten it down to about 30 flat at T2... And looking at splits, that SUCKS! I still haven't come accross my Silvia yet...

I have been making the forward rounds with Elise. It's wierd though. My T times are not getting better, but my final time is getting better. I'm nailing the last few turns, but I wish I could get all the rest like I was earlier... :boggled:

CoolGeekz
was hoping to get ahead of Casio (used those as my goals)

Ok...That's it. You're going down...:sly: I'm not going to be embarrassed by some D2 drifter

By the way, the splits on the leaderboard are ones from about last thursday, not my current best ones. I may post them later...

Finally have some better splits...

Elise Forward:
12.910
29.091

Well this week is suiting me well, feel like I'm finally Div 1 worthy, check dis out:

### Sylvia Forward ###
T1: 0'12.895
T2: 0'29.241

### Elise Reverse ###
T1: 0'09.646
T2: 0'25.258

Both of those laps included outstanding finishes and I am damn happy, if I find another 0.1 combined overall I'd be stunned.

One problem though, my Elise lap wouldn't save the ghost so I've had to save the full replay, it is perfectly clean and no problem there, just a shame I couldn't get the ghost lap.

I don't remember I ever had experienced it before. But this week it has been happening frequently to me, when driving in reverse. The comparing with the previous best works all right at the splits, it's just at the finish line it sometimes misses. It must be some kind of a bug. :dopey:

no worries matey (as some aussie wrs friends would say) - as long as you'll go on coming up with challenging races as you have we will continue enjoying wrs for a very long time.
the division thing is a good one to support what you said. and this comes from a wrs fan that probably would qualify for a div4 should it exist

do not underestimate yourself mate, i started in Div 3 and look where it has got me, whatever division you are in means nothing... just give it a good honest crack and you will move up the rankings in no time...

I had it a lot too. It looks like when you cross the line with 2 wheels off track the lap is not taken into account.

yeah it's happened a few times to me this week?!? At least the lap is easy enough to verify in ghost or full replay mode thanks to there being no obstacles...and my full lap replay is also only 1.5 laps long and it's the very first lap that I'm submitting so it's no big drama I guess, just a pain

I had to save my Silvia like that. It's saying that lap 3 was faster than my actual fastest lap (lap 6), but it's .3 seconds slower. I thought that was really odd. It's a good thing I view the replay before saving the ghost.

I wonder if the DFP is faster than the DS2 this week? What are the D1 guys using? Just curious, because last week I was able to get on the DFP and made a better time over the DS2...

And, hey! Somebody slow CoolGeekz down, he's running amuck in D1 territory! :) He's even stole some red numbers!!

Really frustrating. I really can't find the Silvia in the Showroom. Grrrrr...

I've improved my Elise Reverse time again:

T1 : 9.660 (-0.096) saw a 9.511 :)
T2 : 25.853 (-0.130)

I shaved a bunch of time off for the Silvia forward and Elise reverse. I'm struggling with the Silvia reverse now. I can't keep it clean.

Silvia forward
T1: 0:13.013
T2: 0:29.361

Elise reverse
T1: 0:09.677
T2: 0:25.525

Total: 0:54.886

According to Famine's list, the Silvia Spec-R Aero appears in the Late 90's used car lot on weeks : 2, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 25, 29, 30, 35, 36, 38, 39, 41, 43, 44, 49, 52, 54, 55, 57, 63, 69, 70, 71, 76, 81, 82, 84, 85, 96 and 97.
So look at you day count, remove 700 and again until the figure is lower than 700. Then divide this number by 7, keep only the integer part, add 1 and look into the list above to know how many weeks you have to go forward until you find one.
For instance, I'm on day 2395.
2395 - 700 = 1695 -700 = 995 - 700 = 295
So I'm on day 295 in my 4th 700-day cycle.
295 / 7 = 42.14
So I'm on week 42 + 1 = 43 of that cycle.
Since 43 is on the list, there is a Silvia Spec-R Aero available.

No new times so far, the silvia is being mean to me.
I keep messing up the first corner (forwards) and losing .2 or more there....that's what's killing my time.

elise forward
12.813
28.540 - still .1 here
silvia reverse
9.725
25.783 - still .1 here

im happy with this now :) cant be bothered to try cars on opposite tracks. To me that would seem like having to waste 2 decent laps as only two laps are submitted :P Settings are same as dan but with lsd at 5,5,5 in the elise. In the silvia i stole someones settings, possibly ballstothewall's, i cant actualy remember who, sorry :P

Flat-out

WOW, that actually made sense to my to math handicapped brain!

Well, I've improved my times a bit... T2 on the reverse-track with the Elise was my greatest improvement. And I finally broke that "magic" 0'4x.xxx mark on the Elise reverse, but not on Sylvia Forward... I think that's probably about it for me this week... Maybe I could get another bit out of the Elise, but I'm maxxed out on the Sylvia... I don't see how I can get that car to go any faster...

Here are my current splits:
Sylvia Forwards:
T1: 13.183
T2: 29.981

Elise Reverse:
T1: 9.900
T2: 25.881

This is legal, right? (2 wheels on the track, rumble strips are considered part of the track?) just want to be sure before I submit this lap...
- - - - - - - - - - - - -

New splits, Elise forward :
T1 = 13.042
T2 = 29.234

Saved 0.15 on the lap time.

Now the Silvia.

Board Updated

Randy, your Elise lap looks scary fast!!! It also looks considerably faster than your Sylvia lap...if the two laps come closer...we're all screwed :)

You guys are nuts this week... I've a question for you all, in the Elise, is it actually beneficial to run the aftermarket suspensions? I guess you might be able to gain some grip from more camber, but I really haven't tried yet. I mean, I don't plan on being anywhere near as good of a tuner as Lotus for suspension, let alone GT4 suspension tuning. :yuck: I'm also using the stock transmission there so far too. If people tell me I'm missing out on time though by doing so, please say so!

Elise Forwards
T1: 13.077
T2: 29.382

Silvia Reverse
T1: 10.012
T2: 26.511

I had a Silvia lap that was .4 faster than this one, but I forgot to save it... Then I had to go back and get this after a few laps. I don't feel like running it more right now, I don't know why you guys are going so wild this week...

Had a chance to give this combo a bit of attention tonight. :)

Silvia Forward
T1: 12.967
T2: 29.000

Elise Reverse
T1: 9.517
T2: 24.933

@Kyle- For the Elise I am using the full suspension, but stock brakes although I put the adjuster on. Am also using stock lsd. But you need the full custom tranny. That's critical to getting the revs where you need them. Set at 3 is about right. 👍
