Hey people... **Sorry if it has already been posted(I've posted this in another thread, too)**, but here: http://www.vgreleases.com/ps3/ReleaseDate-25101.aspx appear the most comented release dates... Dec 7th for USA, Dec 8th for Europe (I think) and Dec 9th for Australia... And it seems that the webpage's owner has gotten those dates thanks a GTPlanet user... :confused::nervous:

Rumored meaning the same fool going around in the comments in the X1 Azur article going "I KNOW RELEASE DATE 77777777777777!!! YOU HEAR ME? 7777777777777? BEWARE THE IDES OF DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!"

Do you mean slower at starting up, loading menus, discs? Or do you mean the actual framerate once a game up and running is lower?

It could be they have more stuff on their harddrive.

Navigating menu's, quiting games, takes longer for the icons to load up, slower starting the PS Store, the game play is the same, just the front end XMB is very sluggish, and it isn't my imagination, my wife has a Slim PS3 as well and it's the same.

It was also rumored to get released in 2008. And you know what happened?

Imagine for people like me then who just recently bought a 42" tv. I mean, I don't think a TV is something you should need to buy more then maybe once ever 15 year or so.. The only thing that could make me wanna buy a new "TV" is a "TV" with the very expensive and still very early hologram technique. Were a projector of some kind bassicly paints the picture in the room you are in, in the air. But now we are probably talking about 15-20 years into the future cause they first need to make money from the 3d tv's of today, then they are gonna need to make money from the new 3d tv's that doesnt require 3d glasses. So, yeah.. it's a long way into the future.

Unfortunately the new TVs are not likely to last 10-15 years like the old ones did. I have a 65 SD projector set in the family room which is 13 years old and going strong. I have a 32 inch 1080i which died after 3 years and a 37 inch 1080p which is almost 1 year old now. My brother has also went through 3 LCD or Plasma TVs in the last 10 years.

It is really getting old listening (reading) all the negative comments based on nothing but fear. The fact is that the only official announcements indicate that the game will be in stores either late Nov or Early-Mid Dec. Definitely before Christmas. For now this is what we have to go on and anything else is pure speculation.

You mean like how we had "Definitely November 2nd"? The promise of pre-Christmas is just as solid.

Hmmm I realy hope Iam lucky then cause my warrant on my tv is out. And nowadays Iam just a poor student who barely affords GT5, so if my tv breaks now, Iam kinda... ****ed... :(

However I don't think the technology I was talking about is gonna get to the surface in less then a decade.

At least it comes from a source who actually has some control. All these dates being flung around on here mean absolutely nada.

Yep. So something happened and caused a delay. It happens and sometimes there is nothing that can be done about it. That does not mean the new date is wrong. It certianly does not lend any weight to those who just pull dates out of thin air.

Of course dates that's ben made up by someone don't mean anything. But after the promise of the Nov release, and then after they said we would get a new release date before end of oktober, I don't trust anything that Sony/PD says.

I think it's just to wait and don't visit GtPlanet to often, cause then you just get dissapointed and sad, like me. At least I think that the game is gonna get released before next christmass.
 
The game's is most likely postponed due to a certain Formula 1 team. It was expected that team would have been champions by October... but...

And now it's on hold as they wanted to brand themselves in the game as World Champions.

There's alot of commercial rights at the moment at stake if that's the case... Just something that whisper past...

I expect a release date after the last race...
 
Agreed but it is hard to stay away. I really want this game in my console.

Edit: btw They did not say that they would give us a date by the end of Oct. They stated that they expected to have a date by then. We just assumed that meant they would let us know. My guess is they did have the date before the end of Oct but have not told us yet.

Anyone else want to join in a vigil for the death of the previous U.S. release date? I am pro-choice but this is one that should have been born..

Well my new wheel will be here tomorrow and since I have no GT5 to play I will probably fire it up on the Xbox and see how Forza feels on the new wheel. Of course I will try in on GT5P as well but maybe running some Forza with the new wheel will distract me enough to take the sting out of not being able to play GT5.

I'm glad I have no idea what jailbreaking a console or phone even MEANS.

Amazon sent me a letter saying the date is now Dec. 31
