Oh, my head is fine. I was laughing about it with my friends at work within 5 minutes. I am of the opinion, that a game is for enjoyment. Some people should direct their hate and angst towards those things that actually deserve it.
Well, I have to be honest, I did get bummed out about the delay, but hey what can you do? No point in threatening to cancel your order or anything like that. You'll just be the one missing out.
I told my gf about it and I felt better afterwards. She's like next time I see you let's play the Playstation Move!! lol A good game of table tennis should be good!! haha
Completely your choice, but you'll be missing out on the next GT then. Remember, good games take time to be developed. I guess since I've made games before I understand this more.

See, that's the way I need to approach GT5. Unfortunately, every time I see a release date announced, I allow myself to get all excited and actually expect Sony and PD to deliver on their designated date.
How does that old saying go??

We really need to put no weight in their release dates. It arrives when it arrives.

See, that is what I am talking about. Personally, I come to this place nearly everyday out of habit and hobby. GT is something that I enjoy. If you do not enjoy it, then why do it?
And I think most people see it that way. I mean, why would you put yourself through pain over a game? That is beyond stupid. Which is why I don't take a lot of these "random newbies" seriously. There is not that many people that "crawl out of the woodwork" just to go bananas with hate.
In other words, its good to see a "relatively speaking" new member, that is actually a real person.

What the 🤬 is going with GT5?. I`ve got holidays booked off from work,Harvey Norman have just started promoting GT5 and pushing for pre-orders just this afternoon on the radio! And now we get this B.S.
It`s 🤬 ridiculous,this GT5 Saga! It`s over 3yrs overdue already

This has happened with every GT installment. As soon as all regions get a release date, it was not long afterward that each game subsequently got delayed. This is nothing new, please attempt to relax. I this game DIDN'T get a delay, I would probably be a little worried. PD ALWAYS has a last minute delay. ALWAYS. It's just the truth.

Looks like the game has been postponed to the 26.11.2010. The date is stated out by an serious shop and should be pretty accurate.

The German Amazon site still has the 5th November on their page.
I personally think that this date is very accurate, because PD/Sony want to score in the christmas/holiday season and not all people buy their christmas presents a couple of days before the holidays. So when the people hit the stores early december, they will find GT5 in the shelfs.

On another note - I'm enjoying the utter chaos that is ensuing in this thread...quite entertaining if you have a sense of humour lol

If it was a production issue, would you really expect Sony to say 'Sorry guys, but we can't produce enough discs for you lot'. No, because that's a poor reason (choosing my words carefully here), and it would affect its share price. It's better to blame the developers. IMO, it's either going to be an issue producing the items for the CE, or some kind of printing issue with the manuals/books.

I had decided to NOT jailbreak my PS3, would rather play 1 expensive but good game compared to hundreds of free crap ones. I haven't updated passed 3.41 yet so have gone ahead and ordered a USB dev board. Gonna hack the living poo out of this box, and when it dies, it will not be replaced. I had nearly had enough when I was forced to choose between otherOS and PSN access/new games.
The love affair is over, $ony, PD, I am leaving today. Don't try to contact me, there is no chance of reconciliation. I wish you all the best for the future, but it's a future I want no part of. I will always cherish and remember the good times we had. I love you deeply, but I cannot continue to let you hurt me this way. I have already found a new love, her name is PC, she treats me well, has all your features and then some. Don't be upset, as they say, there are plenty of fish in the sea. In your case, 10's of millions, you won't miss me at all, and that's fine. This is not about you, this is about me, and what's best for me is to distance myself from you as much as possible. Take care of yourself my love, I hope that you make someone very happy someday.

DG, I said something similiar in a different thread. I don't believe they are blaming PD or Kaz. They said something like

That just says 'we are slow, but its because its so awesome.. and the time due to making something so great'.
It isn't a blame game, its simply trying to push the idea that GT is brilliant and foget about the delay.
I'm expecting a later november release date. They will want to do it either end of novemer or very very start od december, otherwise it will be swallowed up by all the christmas buying, and people will say, screw it, 2 weeks, I'll get it for Christmas from blah blah... obviously not all will do that, but most people who just want a racing game to add to there collection will do taht rather than having the game for 2 weeks.
Production issues should take a week to 2 to resolve. They wont do 1 week delay its too 'we mucked up and are desperate' it will be the 23rd (3 weeks later) or something similiar.
I don't minda s I have exams till late november, so I wasnt going to pick it up until after exams, but now I might preorder it and then get it as I finish
