GT5 delayed

Damn that 3D feature and Move that they are forcing to implement. Now this game will be the joke of the century. A Racing game with no story at all, no open environment or destructible environment or a lot of NPC and AI, taking 6 years. It is worse than RPG or FPS which are more complex.
 
Seems a bit weird that Sony Execs seem to be blaming production problems for the delay whereas KY in his tweet puts the blame on them ironing out problems with the game. Do these guys ever talk to one another?
 
You know that feeling you get when (for example) you're waiting upon someone to come out of a 2 and a half hour dentist appointment for example? Like.. you get that feeling you're just going to be there waiting in the waiting room for the rest of your entire life? That's what this is like. I like to think about playing it, but it never seems real.. you guys n gals know that feeling?

A bit drunk I may be but I know the game will come out, but every single time the so called "release date" appears to be nigh, something called a "delay" always rears it's ugly fat head. As said in the latest news post about Kazzy's Twit or Tweet or whatever (Quote: ...."it's inexcusable...".

Staff: "So what are we going to do now, Sir?"

Kaz: "Huh?...ahhh... tell them we can't meet the deadline... mhmm.. we have to wait until a new medium is invented.... "
Staff: "So what will I tell them?"

Kaz: "Tell 'em something about a new release date.... ehrm... tell 'em we will release it as soon as possible... huh?"
Staff: "Sir, but the world is waiting for the game, sir.."

Kaz: "Ok, so tell them we will release it BEFORE christmas..."
Staff: "Sir, which year's chritmas, sir?"

Kaz: "Huh?.. which year's christmas, huh? Don't tell them..!"

Why do people suddenly think not having one game is going to ruin a console? The PS3 has some big titles coming out for it, even if some of them are multi-platform ones. Sony and the PS3 will be fine without GT5, it has been for years.
 
Theres no problem for me, im not happy, but im a gt fanboy, the problem is the rest of the outside world, the competition comes closer(not for me, for the rest of the outside world)

No sir without GT5 this year there is no exclusives but mostly multiplication games that mostly will sell better and play better in xbox 360 since multi platform games always looks better on xbox 360 and sells better

Exclusives are the life line of Sony since this looks better and plays better than any console,multiplatform games always looks the same or worse inferior to xbox and most gamers prefer xbox 360 versions for multiplatform games.

Gran Turismo 5 is currently slated for this “holiday season”. The holiday season in Japan carries over into early January with the New Year holidays. Sony would not clarify to Kotaku whether the game will be out by the end of 2010 or in early 2011.”

How do you figure January 2011 will be a big possibility? At this point in time I think January would be rather silly because December (being Christmas time) will be very, extremely busy so they'll sell mega more copies during the month of early to mid December than they will anytime in January when things have cooled down after the festive season and people will be away on holidays anyway.

I reckon they want to go for the title of most titles shifted in a month, so i expect a December 1-2 release date!

Cant actually believe what im reading in the news section and in this thread.

I managed to get a day off for the release and now its pointless, been looking forward to the game as it should be just around 2-3 weeks away.

Sony really actually are jokers when it comes to Gran Turismo releases its an actual joke and its properly disgusting.

November 4th is mine. I was honestly a little worried that I wouldn't get to see anybody on that day, since I would've been locked in the games room, without sleep, for two days. :nervous:
 
I have various copies pre ordered in different places, i paid in advance at shopto. but my comment was a (crap) joke.

Uhhh GT5 is not the PS3's only exclusive this year.

As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Gran Turismo 5 has changed to Dec-2010. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control.

The hell with COD, that game sucks. It is the bane of the FPS genre. Auto-lock to targets, i mean seriously, are you serious! COD is garbage, Sony shouldn't hesitate to release GT5 head to head against that crap.

3 day's late on PD's end and now we are talking about a month delay... what a load of &$@!
 
As i said it is not of fear to compete with other games or with MS, but releasing Gt now will harm their other PS3 game sales, as a lot of GT customers will not buy another Ps3 game (cod, fallout, nfs, fight, ....)

I think that is a main reason. Because releasing it nov2. or dec2. will not mean a lot more income for GT. But in general ps3 games sales
