Prove a point? :indiff: Really? In my opinion you're not really presenting a point. And as for my judgmental attitude, I am just expressing my opinion just like you are. And your opinion on the world driven by profits. Do you think anyone likes that? It's just how the world works, man. And I don't think it would be any different anywhere else. We've all been waiting for GT5 for a long, long time. I think everyone should sit back and chill.

;) I'm not trying to prove anything. No Points. Just another comment, of the many comments here.

I'm just disappointed and frustrated, because I thought we might actually get the game; for real!

At least I will have more time to think about my 3D TV and racing seat setup before I get the game.

👍

At this point I won't even believe what Sony tells us. Man what a screw up they have done.

I really hate to say it (since I love GT) but Sony and Kaz are looking like failures. I honestly believe that all this stuff that has been going on (Japan delay, Kaz saying the game was basically done, eight months later and now the OFFICIAL delay) that it will factor in to some of the review scores. It shouldn't I know but I do think some people will look at the game more closely. And scrutinize the game for it.
At this point, I won't believe anyone till I actually have the disc in my PS3.

I hear ya. I've been a fan since day 1 (and even before that, in MotorToon), but this is just ridiculous.

Tremendously frustrating.

Wow I have just noticed November 2nd is just 2 weeks away! For some reason it felt like it's never going to come out but gosh 2 weeks that so close:dunce: but it's a bummer we have to hold out a little bit longer, hopefully not to long:nervous:

So did GameStop cancel or postpone "Turismo Tuesday"? I was really looking forward to more, new information today.
http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/granturismo5/

Also, i wonder if the Prima track guide is going to still release on Nov 2nd...?

Considering GT5's delay, it would be nice if we got a wealth of information on Nov. 2nd. Complete Track List, Complete Car list, etc. (i realize some people don't want this information until they get the game... but i personally would appreciate knowing more about a game i've looked forward to for so long)

i'm sure they're not going to release the game guide until after the game. they probably just haven't updated their database yet.

the guide itself would contain a crapload of "spoilers." ... hey, maybe they'll forget to not ship it though :)

Never knew there is a guide. If it does release on the 2nd , I will buy it. Get some tips before playing the full game. But I dont think it should be on delay because it does not uses the CODES that GT5 has to re do.

My birthday is the 15/11,so when i heard this i got really disappointed when i heard this . I was supposed to be getting it with a dfgt and 5.1 surround sound. But there is still a tiny tiny little bit of hope.:nervous:

Gamestop is probably under some embargo with PD, on releasing new videos.
Until PD releases a new date, I think both Amazon & Gamestop seem to be in a holding pattern.

Actually, The Turismo Tuesday page might be getting updated right now. New Toyota Nascar image on the splash page.
And a 'week 5 was added'... previously, there were only 4 weeks... which made sense when the release date was Nov. 2....... perhaps there is only a 1 week delay?

Has any GT5 news NOT been leaked ahead of time, you only need look at the last delay.

Many people in the manufacturing and supply chain will be aware of GT5's release date before it's made public.

👍

Definitely get the racing seat first! They are great, sometimes I use it to play other games since it supports my back better than the couch in our upstairs loft. Plus, maybe 3D tv's will become slightly more affordable?

If the issue really is with manufacturing then they could make a date really quickly after getting all that sorted out. All they really need is a 2-3 week window from the time of the new date announcement to really ramp of marketing.

Just goes to show that the argument that COD and GT5 customers are different groups and don't effect one another isn't necessarily true...

I play a lot of FPS games and Black Ops is high on my list. I was going to hold off on it though because with GT5 coming out a week earlier I would be playing that mostly. However since the delay I will now be getting Black Ops on release day and playing the crap out of it. Gungame is back and you can gamble? Count me in!

Don't get me wrong, my CE is still pre ordered and paid in full. But now I should have time to play Black Ops for a while. Though if I had any control over it I would prefer GT5 still release November 2nd. Breaks my heart :( lol

I am worried about this delay really being about manufacturing. Outside of GTP and the articles it linked to about manufacturing problems, it really hasn't gotten much traction with major gaming press (like IGN or Kotaku). Hell, those references were scrubbed out of Wikipedia's article over the weekend (they're back now).

Is manufacturing just another shaky rumor, or are the media still waiting for a definite answer?

Manufacturing or Piracy issues would be the better of these problems, these problems can be overcome very quickly. If the delay is due to PD not being finished, then that can lead to months.

The big rumor about manufacturing came from an insider at Blu-ray.com, and those guys do have a history of actually having good sources. Most gaming sites aren't going to run the story just on the basis that so many different theories about why it was delayed have popped up. So they'd have a new report every other day if they were to jump on those stories.

Edit: The Outlaw, that story is old. Kaz mentioned it at TGS.

That makes sense. I just remembered that the Blu-ray.com post was mysteriously deleted. Surely that weighs in favor to the manufacturing problem theory?

Kaz is working to give us the best experience possible, is the official word.

My opinion from that is there still working on the game. Kaz mentioned something about complex?

Yeah, that's the feeling many people have about the deletion. We'll likely never know the real reason though as I doubt Kaz or Sony will ever reveal the truth. Not that anyone will really care once they have the game.

It could be either way really . Could be completely off base or hitting the nail on the head. Either way the mod who posted it is seems to be highly respected and accurate when it comes to matters such as these. After reading a few more posts in that thread it seems that he got into a bit of trouble . So it's hard to tell either way..
