hey guys, guess that might be quite interesting for all of you...
i was at an official sony retailer (sony center in bern, switzerland) yesterday, in the shop window they displayed some sort of bundle
sony 3D tv + ps3 + GT5 !!!
i talked to one of the sales assistants in the shop. the guy didn't seem absolutely competent, yet he confirmed that the bundle is for sale RIGHT NOW
sorry i can't say anything about the prices. buying a new tv and ps3 just to play gt5 2 months earlier is not an option for me. however, i would assume that sony wouldn't let you have the package with the cheapest version of a 3D tv...

He's full of crap and means you can order/pay for it now and they may give you what parts they have on hand, but they don't have any copies of the game.
Go back and ask him to see the actual game, if they really did have it, it would sell like hotcakes becuase you could sell just the game alone on ebay right now more than the pacakge cost.

I think gamestop thinks it will release on Nov 16. For turismo tuesdays, they have up to week 5, with 2 weeks already unlocked.

About release dates; to be fair, a sketchy Russian site first broke news of the delay, so it's entirely possible we'll find out from a non-official source first again.
Pretty much. You don't let it slip to the public that you screwed up/you're greedy/you're dishonest/etc. It's all about the public image. Not saying any of these are the case here, although you can never rule anything out.

I've been away from the site for a week and I come to see that (surprise!) the game is delayed. I don't care how much you guys wanna kiss Kaz's feet, but this is really ridiculous. And to the people that say "Well why don't you go make a better game", my response is "No! That is what I pay Kaz and his team for when I preordered the game."

One minor detail - you didn't pay PD when you pre-ordered, you paid Gamestop (or whoever) to keep one of the copies they get in safe for you. Your expectations, though understandable, are entirely ill-founded.

It sounds if some of the CE preorders from Amazon have been canceled, thus freeing up some to be resold again.
I think as much as these guys where thinking of a possible 2009 release, there just keeping up a positive front on this delay. Only Kaz really knows if it will be released this season.
