From color to body precision.. amazing. Just being curious, someone quickly make a FM3 red 370z shot from a side like this, thanks.

It could also just mean that the engine doesnt react as fast as the player input (note, the red line means how far the accelerator is pressed and the white line what the engine actually does, you can test that in Prologue too), or its a helper for pad users.

It could be just a guide, couldn't it? To show how much throttle the car can take at that moment without loosing traction.

Depending to who you talk, ABS seems more acceptable than TCS, so that could very possibly be a choice for the time trial demo.

@torontoml:
Sorry for spelling your name wrong.^^
Its almost 4 am here and my eyes are a bit tired. :D
And okay, if my post wasnt there.

@topic: I still want to know why the spectators arent animated in the demo...

Body precision? YES

Color? NO

The red 370Z in the GT5 demo picture has nowhere near the color vibrancy of the real picture. The Z in the GT5 demo picture looks dull and plasticy in comparison.

GT fanboys may think otherwise though lol

Did this in regards to a few pages back looking at proportion.

I had to flip the top image. Fuel cap in Forza is correct.

Sure color is BIT off, but heck, what other game comes close? haha In GT5 prologue, under optinons, you can set more brightness, so I think that might add some more vibrant coloring ;)

^:lol: We got 100,000 members. 0.40c each and you could buy one. :)

Speaking of buying. I have a 05 350Z though and I'm planning to trade it in for a new 370Z or a used 05 M3. Any suggestion?

Tough choice. 05 M3, its really a drivers car and also one of the best looking M3s out there.. but, I think 370z will be better because is new, so whatever breaks Nissan will repair it, also NEW is NEW, old is old, who know knows how much punishment the driver of the 05 m3 gave to the car? Not to mention today 370z is best sports cars for the buck.

So why doesn't iRacing make console games? They could make a fortune.

It would take longer to make then GT5, it will have couple of tens of cars rather then 10s of hundreds.. As well no one would buy it because it would be super expensive with monthly fees.

Definitely agree with Nox there. There's nothing like owning a brand new car (370Z) with a factory warranty, especially when the other car you are considering (M3) is very expensive to repair if anything does go wrong, and the routine preventive maintenance is quite expensive as well.

It really depends on what you plan on doing with the car and a lot of it comes down to your personal preferences in the end - such things as looks, practicality, what you're willing to deal with in terms of maintenance, etc.

If you plan on tracking the car I would go with the M3. They're absolutely sick cars on the track with minimal mods đź‘Ť And are very fun, quick, and predictable at the limit.

The M3 is definitely more refined than the 370 from my experiences. I used to own a 05 Z (Tein coilovers, Stoptechs, Volks, and bolt ons) as well, and drove a 370Z a few months back with my dad when he was out car shopping. Overall it wasn't as big of a step up or evolution from the 350Z as I was expecting tbh. The new Z's motor seemed a bit rougher and oddly enough there seemed to be more road noise in the new Z. I will say that the interior design and materials are much nicer in the 370, and the exterior design looks much better as well IMO. But in comparison, the 03 M3 my dad owned a few years back had a MUCH more plush ride and probably handled just as well if not better than the 370. Either way, they're both lovely cars, neither which you can go wrong with đź‘Ť Good luck

Sorry for strolling off topic. I thought I'd just give the man some insight :dunce:

Anybody with detailed feedback on the new physics engine?

Getting quite sick of reading comments from people pining over skid marks, damage, jaggies etc.

So to stay on topic.

anyone will experiment with GT5 demo physics? like trying to roll over the car? or see if those tires on the track are movable? If tires hit fender walls of the car like kaz stated?

 Sorry about the off topic part. I just needed a little advice from the other members.

So thanks timeattack and Nox. đź‘Ť The 370 is my #1 choice for now, and as I remembered, BMW is a killer when it comes to maintenance.

Edit: Btw I've seen that R35 at Nissan dealership, and I was drooling all over it. j/k. I can't stop staring at it while waiting for oil change. I told the manager if i can trade off my 350z on that R35, and he said, "Sure, do you have your extra money?".

I'm happy that the sound has improved. Yes it's improved but still not great...we're getting there though...slowly

No not a guide, it's in GT5P also when you go on the grass or sand, it automatically limits your throttle (I hate it). The red shows you how much you want/command and the blue bar shows you how much the game allows you. In GT5P when you have the assists off and are on the road this doesn't happen, but in this demo it appears it does.

After complaints about Forza 3's steering aids that cannot be turned off, i would have thought PD will at least give us the option to turn that off in the full game.

I mean they gave us more options than we could of hoped for when it comes to the track map. Polyphony do like to please as many people as possible over the smallest of things.

I have no doubt at all about the possibility of it being turned off in the full game, as they even said that on the latest PS blog entry on the demo.

My concern is just the demo for GT Academy, which would be done to keep it even for everyone, thats assuming this throttle assist can't be turned off, as wedon't know for sure yet.

I dont want to flame and i dont want to troll.
But is the aspect ratio correct in these pics? Seriously.

Just cropped the picture and resized them a bit, that's all :P

Can't wait to play but ...

This demo really really doesn't do the game any justice. To the average joe will take one look at this and think its crap. Even though the final product will look alot better (hopefully) but from my experience with betas/demos they've always been exactly the same as the final product. I know this won't be the case with this game but I hope in the final version doesn't just have added lackluster damage and minor graphic improvements because that won't cut it. Still gonna buy though.

I can only comment on comparison between this demo and GT5P, cause I only play Gran Turismo. But hey, why spoil the surprise of those glorious N3's?
