In the "Academy" video's there's a little box in the bottom right corner with 4 symbols in it, I'm sure one of them is an oil can type symbol but I can't make out the other 3 symbols.
Anyone know what they are? And was this in GT5P? I don't seem to remember it in prologue.

Assists triangle, Handbrake, Fuel, Oil. Yep they were there in GT5P (Oil and Fuel light non functioning).

I've done like 8 laps so far and the first thing that strikes me is the cockpit view seems to react a lot more to the road as in subtle movements here and there and there are quite a few bumps on the tracks lol. Maybe it's just a placebo effect I don't know. The shadows are really crisps on my set now compared to GT5P where they were all pixelated. The physics (then again i'm not the best driver in the world) are a big improvement I'd say, i'm playing with all assists off and it's quite a bit more of a challenge to me to keep the car from spinning than GT5P. I have just tried the tuned version right now, I'm gonna go for the road car in a moment. So far I'd say even though this is just a time trial I'm really glad the shadows stuff are fixed on my set and the physics seems an improvement too. Not to mention the sounds for me are much better :D

Need to play a bit longer for more impressions but most of the german site critics on graphics are bull****. My best lap so far (if you can call it that, lol) is 1'41'600. Luca Ordonez is first atm with 1'37.499 and if I remember right KY did 1'37.607. Need to go 4 secs faster then, currently ranked 3rd :P

Here are 3 GT5 60Fps 720P videos. Grab them before the server is boiling...
Quick Menu Tour. Indianapolis Road Course Tour.
Indianapolis Road Course Gameplay.
Indianapolis Road Course Replay.
Even streams are 60Fps...
HDMI capture, best quality available so far.
Youtube HD streams uploading for those at work...

As I had trouble with my PS3 today I couldn't capture anything else, so this are the first laps I made on the demo yesterday, it was about 1:00AM so don't expect a high skilled lap...
No settings were changed, soundtrack is on, TCS is on... I just tweaked the map as this is a breakthrough feature in GT series :sly:

By the way the hood view is gone

Don't know if anyone asked this yet, but is there an intro video or does it just go straight to the main menu?

Straight to main menu then you see the two guys in racing suit walking, no intros sadly (which isn't surprising considering the 220mb download).

If you look as this:

And say: "Beautiful! So life-like! Look at those colors!"

And then look at this:

And say: "So bland, sterile."

All I have to say to you is:

Oh wait! There's more:

True, today it struck me that when you look at a replay in FM3 the driver seems like a statue apart from the gear changing he doesn't even turn the wheel in turns and he just sits there. Really weird :P

^^^ The forza driver looks like he's not even sitting all the way back in the seat.

Well I meant to say it's ridiculous to call GT5's graphics sterile since it's only sterile because it is realistic but yeah, that too. And the huge wheels. What's up with that?

Is there any change in the force feedback alba? And how are the anti-aliasing problems now?

for the no tearing aliasing anymore (720p set) and the force feedback on my wheel is set to 7 I think, haven't noticed that much changes, I should probably put it back at full, I'll do it now and try the road car.

If I may ask, how the hell did you get your hands on it?

It's a photomode pic (Forza shot) with odd FOV (not normally that out of shape looking), while the GT5 'demo' pic is gameplay capture. The driver is a pretty generic model Forza uses so it doesn't fit perfect into each car seat causing some odd seating positions. Normally you won't notice it in race because the windows are much darker and you don't usually get a good look.

It's not what you know, it's who you know. ;)

That's a G25? Does the clutch/shifter work?

Again, it was initially meant to bash on "GT looks sterile" BS. I don't know how FOV can make only the wheels bigger though.

I suppose... well I'll just have to wait 2 more days like the rest of us I guess.

Maybe the driver is using some one button driving option that forza 3 cars have :)

I have a friend who happens to be a games journalist and he let me download the demo off his account to test it out for a while ;)

Here is another shot of the 370Z in FM3

Did this in regards to a few pages back looking at proportion.

I had to flip the top image. Fuel cap in Forza is correct.

Come back when you have a higher resolution, colour-accurate video instead of some low-res, over-exposed, badly filmed footage...

:rolleyes::rolleyes: :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:  (see that the rolleyes smiley doesnt help defending an argument?)

It doesnt matter which video you take, the track looks always the same.
Unfortunately i cant find HD footage on YouTube right now, but of course you could also try to prove the opposite.

@alba: Can you change the button layout freely like in all the other GTs?

I just watched the "720p" or "HD" video on taxigamer and i really loved it :D

It basicly looks aas good as Prologue, but with the really cool cockpit camera showing the driver. I really like that one!
Other than that the reaction of the suspension makes the movement of the car look so damn natural, its amazing.

Iam really looking foreward to the 24th, when i will be getting my new PS3 slim :D
