Hi Alba, I have a question for you :)

I noticed that on the Tuned 370Z it doesn't look like using the clutch will be much of an advantage in using to gain time, if any - as the shifts are already quite quick w/o using the clutch.

Now what about with the stock 370Z? Can you tell us how fast that car shifts without using the clutch in comparison to the Tuned Z?

Thanks for any response

Really weird lens distortion going on then.

Yeah you have to zoom in and move back to get no distortion. The default mid-way position has some lens effect. Zoom out and it gets worse.

I dislike distortion on cars. Ferrari challenge has some bad fisheye looking cars in gameplay when side by side. It looks so odd to me.

GT5 has great geometry ingame.

Love the car choice, don't know the track, but the country list says "PORTUGAL" so I'm in!
Let's see how it goes with the limited amount of time I have to dedicate to this...

@alba: Does the G27 paddles shifter work with this demo yet? Also, do you still have to press triangle before each race to activate the clutch?

I wonder how we Americans will stack up on the leader boards? I bet that if we post enough top times that next year we get included.

It is strange why they exclude certain countries from these competitions. It is in their interest to include as many countries as possible to find the best.

If it's too costly to fly someone over from the US to get to Silverstone (or wherever the next rounds will be held, it'll be in the info somewhere if its not Silverstone), then why include Australia and New Zealand? Do they even pay for travel costs?

I don't have a G27, I have a G25 sorry :P As for the clutch, I assumed it was like GT5P I just tried it but it appears you just can't activate it. The triangle won't do anything, I spoke too soon... my apologizes! Weird.

I think it has nothing to do with the competitiveness of NA racer but more to do with the litigation culture in NA. Hopefully they (GT Academy) will find a way around it.

If I had to guess, I would say that it has to do with one or more of a few things.

1) GT Academy is a SCEE thing, so they are including whoever they can from their region.
2) Nissan is a partner on this and has some reason they only include certain countries.
3) The race series the winner ends up in has to be a part of this and so all rules they choose to apply must go.

I hope so. I'm fairly competitive with the Sixaxis controller already, so hopefully getting a wheel will help get me near the top. 👍

Careful what you say, not all Americans care at all about damage. So please do not stereo type me, thanks.
First off, it's "stereotype". Secondly, the statement went something along the lines of "a large number of requests from Americans". Nowhere did it say all Americans, so why are you getting all wound up about it?

He's not responding to the article.

You say you are competitive with the controller, if we were able to compete and if you got in would they let you still play round with the controller or do you think they would make you switch to a wheel?

No need to apologise mate!

So what? My facts are corrrect - just the question at the end might be in the wrong context. Big deal. I'm sue he can stand up for himself, and doesn't need others to speak up on his behalf.
I'm not defending him. I'm correcting you. Your facts have no bearing on what he said, as he was responding to a comment by a member.

How long do we have to submit the lap times?

hey alba, you have the demo? tell us everything whats under options menu, all videos only show the a little, I wonder how are the wheel options and controlls, and if there is anything new in there. Thanks..

as well do you now can look 8 ways inside cockpit as the GT5Prologue demo? Or only 4 ways now?

Sorry about my spelling. My post had nothing to do with you or anything you said, so why are YOU getting all wound up about it?:indiff:
