I don't know what your problems are? Are you just sitting at home, staring at the GTPlanet News page, waiting for an update? Are you just sitting at home in front of your PS3, waiting for GT5 to appear to finally play a video game?

I have tons of games to play, though GT is my all time favourite, there are many other games, that will keep me busy till Christmas and beyond, if necessary. Its not only racing games out there!

Sure, Iam disappointed, that GT5 takes so long to finally hit the stores, but I prefer to get a perfect product rather than an rushed and unfinished game without all the content!

Do you think the Free Run could confirm the "Track Day" possibility?
 
screencap from the GT Academy finals video. I see some chat buttons on the bottom left - mic icon and maybe text.
Some replay transport buttons and a few other buttons and display gadgets I can't make out
Looks like you can set up the replay to focus on driver/position/course or auto now.
Could be an online spectator mode interface

and more thats hard tomake out. This clearly looks like the host/server/private event options, which appear very thorough

I think it's the hosts control screen!
You can setup a series of races (section with the track map),
regulations (upper left),

It's also got options to drive/race too, so it seems the host wont have to be a 'dedicated host' to have all these options. :)

This is looking damn good for fair online racing!

I don't see the "kick" button ;)
 
If you look at the bottom right of the first pic, you can see a options for display, either the course/replay full screen or split up into the different sections like in this pic. And maybe the far right option is to watch all 16 cars at once?! :)

is that a kick (boot) icon I see in the first pic towards the upper left where the overlay of icons show? :D

Yeah looks like your right for the first two, not sure about the far right one.

The icon shows the sun with some clouds, the sky shows blue and fairly cloudy. The track doesn't look 'summer' shiny to me, though being Australian I am not real sure how sunny it gets in Indianapolis in summer.

I'd grown quite tired of the GT5 forum the past couple of days and thought I'd seen all the news from the the OZ and NZ TT finals. How glad am I that I've checked back here and found some positive news!

Looks like a pretty slick online UI (if this is what it is) and may confirm a few features :) :) :)

No problems, I only really posted it here where everyone can see.

Thanks to gamearena for the short video (where the first pic came from) and Carbonfibre for taking and linking the other.
 
I wonder if you can lock cockpit view for all drivers? maybe that helmet event setting icon is for this

nice to see garage, driving options and quick tune right there

You can set PP (performance points) and PS(horsepower) caps, even weight by that certain icon with a number under it

There is no way that is happening, if it as a dedicated Nascar game then I would expect it but in GT your expectations are way too high.

Ok full grid is maybe too much to ask, but having NASCAR and not all tracks would be really disappointing... after all this time of development.

Those screens look promising, they won't start giving us basic options most games had forever, do they? ;)

Like I said if it was a dedicated Nascar game I would agree but GT series covers so many series and the entire car 'lifestyle' in general. Modelling 30 odd Nascar tracks is a touch much to expect IMO and to use it against them isn't fair either. GT can't just concentrate on one series.

The one this GT will have that dedicated nascar game never had is the ability to drive the cars on a wide range of world class tracks, I really look forward to driving a COT on Nurburgring and hopefully Bathurst. :D

This is probably the most interesting pic I've seen in the last year, with regards GT5. It shows they've really thought out the multiplayer part of the game. A lot of worries laid to rest in that one pic. 👍

Dude, why this isn't in the news page? This is the most rewarding picture of all times since they started developing the game! Look at the details, there's a sun/cloud icon pointing to weather conditions, the list on the right side of the screen points to a private room, you can change the track to your private races ( there's a High Speed Ring icon on the down-left ), set PP limits tires, Power, there's a flag under the event setting button, this flag has an "8" which I assume is the maximum number of entries, and there's a lot of other details. This is the best news we could ever imagine, the online mode will be awesome, this game is being made to please every kind of player. GT mode will be awesome as always, and now online mode will be epic too!

Wow! It made my day! I will play prologue again to win some credits and start playing online from the first day!
