Yes,it is!!Looks like prologue.

Exactly my thoughts! That is most likely Prologue (fixed track map and they drive with a GT-R Proto), looks like not every GT Academy final got a newer GT5 build.

GT4 was given such low reviews due to its lack of damage and online mode. Its a shame how reviewers seemed to disregard the fact is was the best racing game of its time by a large margin.
If the damage is worse than the damage in Forza, what would you think of the game as a whole? It will still be a better game. I can't say for sure, but i'm fairly confident even without the inclusion of damage GT5 would be a better overall game than Forza 3.
I have no idea, since Forza has had damage since day one, and praised for it.
OK, time to pluck hope from out of the air.
PS3 announcement UK, 8am Monday - http://twitter.com/GamesRadar/status/9015652587
Gonna stick my head out and say it could be a new date for a Worldwide GT5 release.
Hey, are they yellow dandelion flowers in those images! They're blurry, but there. GT5 is now complete for me!
Though I do know the game was criticized by lack of damage, the reviews I have seen are nowhere near low.
It was, for a PS2 game at least, a masterpiece. Yet it has a MetaScore of 89, ranked the 75th best PS2 game. There must be 30+ of those mediocre EA sports games up there in the 90+.
That is quite low considering the game it was. Most of the reviews were good, but some of the reviews were terrible.
I put this down the the fact that racing games arn't for everyone, and reviewers are just doing a job. Some reviews were saying how the game lacks online or damage, or that it is boring and limited in its gameplay. It also got marked down on development time in one review, basically saying it wasn't worth the 3-4 year wait
GT5 will be the same, the majority of reviews will be good, but it will get marked down by a minority of reviewers and driving game enthusiasts alike, over the most trivial of things, whilst ignoring the amazing game staring them in the face. We already see hundreds of users on this forum who are critiscising the game for things that arn't in Prologue/TTdemo/Confirmed for GT5 that are in other games. I mean to a point racing games are all similar, but GT just stands out as the best overall regardless of its flaws.
When i see a better driving game i will convert from 'fanboyism'. But until then...
/end rant
^^^^^
They just counting # of cars, # of tracks and # of features(or/and presence of it).with no matter of quality.
...
I suggest you post a link to confirm that. As it is, I have seen nothing to support your claim. (the link already posted does not confirm anything)

The question is "what are you most excited about releasing? Not what will be the biggest part of GT5. He say's he's most excited about giving the public Gt5's online gameplay because they've worked so hard on it. He doesn't anywere suggest that GT5's online will be as big as or a bigger part of the game than the offline GT mode.
Hes saying that online is one of the new features hes most excited about.
Thats far from saying its the biggest part.
....
What are some of the features your most excited about releasing to the public?
With GT5, we're striving to redefine the racing game that we started with GT1. The game as a whole is completely new. But online functionality has to be at the top. We've worked so hard on it and we're hoping it's a hit.
The reviews just suck full stop.
Meh, That isn't to say other driving games arn't good, i'm just saying GT4 was the best of its time. And the likelihood is, GT5 will be the best of its time too.

PD has rectified both of these shortfalls, and now people are struggling for things to poke fun at. People seem to think the game won't be good enough if the visual damage isn't better than rival games, just because its GT. If the damage is worse than the damage in Forza, what would you think of the game as a whole? It will still be a better game. I can't say for sure, but i'm fairly confident even without the inclusion of damage GT5 would be a better overall game than Forza 3.
We'll see anyway. In my opinion damage doesn't matter. And the single player mode is where i will spend 90%+ of my time ingame. It will be a big mistake for PD to downsize the single player mode just because there is an online mode. I am expecting better things than we got from GT4, more variety, more races to tackle, particularly endurance races. More challenging races aswell, there were very few races in GT4 that were particularly challenging, unless of course you used a car that was inferior to the opposition. If S10 in Prologue is anything to go by, we will have a good share of challenging races in GT5.
Online is nice, but as Foolkiller stated, the offline mode is effectively the heart of a GT game. They should cater for all audiences.
Man I swear GT5P is the best even now.I'm just too lazy to write a 2 page review of "why forza sucks".
I don't disagree, but I want to add something I think is important regarding online:
I've played a few games where you could choose to play the "story" mode (aka GT mode in GT's case) completely online or offline... for example I played thru Resident Evil 5 story mode purely online, always with the same person and it was a really cool and new experience for me... The reason I say this, is I think that's the future for ANY games, because it gives you the choice to play how YOU want and not how some programmer thought you should... (You can still do that, if you want, it's called offline ).
I could totally see this happen with GT, but then I doubt they have the energy and knowledge to pull it off. They would probably need help from Namco or something xD
So, while I see offline mode is cool and everything, for me it's the online that counts, as it ( in my little perfect world) should be exactly like offline mode, but with real people instead of stupid A.I.
UFO?Debris chunks getting thrown up when cars go off track on Fuji. Along with 3D grass and so on.
You would think the rest of the tracks in GT5 will be up to this standard

Are you sure these are not dandelions?
I agree, with the PS3 being an online friendly console unlike the PS2, i think the online mode should be very in-depth. The ability to play through GT mode racing against other people rather than AI would be a good feature and would cater for the online audience very well 👍
As long as the option remains to play offline.
Yes I know.I played it 30mins ago.And guess what? But thats the thing, Forza doesn't suck. It's not as good as GT.
