👍 We need these standard cars to be allowed in Photo travel My NSX Type S looks amazing in the screen saver photo location.
I wondered about that - whichever car I have selected appears in a mini cutscene just before they go to log out of the game (first screen with GT Home and Arcade modes etc in it) - quite often that cutscene is one of the photo travel locations that we apparently cannot take a standard vehicle into...

Maybe one day it will happen.

This is more insulting than rewarding. I just cant belive.
I just can say too lame and too expensive. No new cars (just RM versions of existing cars) and just one (and great) new track is all what PD can offer to us and all that for really decent amount of money (...money for nothing). Thanx PD, but no thanx.
So definitely one more reason to save my money and get X360 and FM4.
P.S. I expected PD will make my desidion to get X360 more harder but it seems that they just easen it massively.

That's 2 great tracks, not one. They have already added NEW cars.

Haven't had much time with spec 2 but cars seam to react a lot smoother. When pushing them over the limit, there seams to be more space until they are out of control. Sliding and controled drifting a car that starts to lose grip is much more rewarding now, without becoming arcade like easy.

Even the Formula GT can now be pushed in a more controled way IMO.

Weight transfer is better even with ABS on, which was something I had to turn completelly off to get more "swing" out of them.

But it may be just my imagination...

As for DLC, I don't like to pay for stuff, and only Spa sounds worth it. Who knows, maybe this stuff will become free in the future.

Except they do sound the same in the game. I suggest you replicate it with a saved replay. Then change the camera view. Like in real life, a car's "engine sound" (really it is the exhaust) will sound remarkably different depending on the listener's location (camera). So comparing how a car "sounds" while racing to how it sounds from another camera view, it will always sound different - as it should.

Most cars sound best from a slightly further distance than the follow cam. Driving a Lancia Delta, for instance, isn't quite as good as following behind one from another car I've noticed.

So where the hell is Pikes Peak???? Why doesn't someone find out the answer to this? Why is no one talking to the people that wrote the article, or the driver from the article.

It's like all the info went into the Bermuda Triangle!

More the symptoms of shambolic marketing and PR.

Pikes Peak may well turn up as DLC, but part of me thinks we will see the 25 GT4 tracks first.

Probably it will be featured in the next overpriced "track pack" together with a minor "half (or even quarter) track".
I can see it coming.

I know they are trying to make it more diverse by adding the suits and helmets to make give the player more originality but I won't ever see anybody else's suit and it's time away from modeling other things. I would rather have a couple more cars then that stuff. It's pretty but it adds no replayability to the core game.

Oh and thank you PD for letting me assign all my buttons for my G27!

I don't think we will get those either. One year and we get one track to race cars on. One year! I think that if the old tracks were going to be included they would have released them months ago.

Its frustrating.

Yeah, you could be right; they might be released along with GT6, but I have a little hope that we will see them as a DLC pack.

I think they have a lot more ready than they are willing to let on. Perhaps GT6's content is all ready barring full interiors for all cars and PD are working on the next generation of Gran Turismo for the PS4?

You wish. Unfortunately, we've seen how long it took them to create GT5 so this isn't a massive change in pace.

To be honest, I'm almost ambivalent about what we will see and when. Just speculating on what we might have to look forward to 👍

Kaz has been Re tweeting alot of fans requests for more DLC ,even replying to one with a strange 'Oh really ?'.

Kaz is such a Tease :D

hey all carts are already in. Arcade mode, Arcade only car selection last 3 are the 125, 100 and Jr. carts. Drove the 125 last night and it's not a shifter have to check the other 2.

beyond angry and annoyed at the fact that FM4 gets Jeremy Clarkson's reviews on like each of the cars when you go to purchase them. WOW I would so pay for that add on for the dealer... smh *cryingface*

Having always owned Playstations and GT's and never had an XBox:guilty:... there are definetly some things I would kill for to have in GT.

Namely all the Aussie cars, GT Hardtop :drool::drool: being the No1 and the W427 HSV, V8 Supercars.

But yes the JC voiceovers and the AutoVista look pretty sweet:tup:.

So as of 2 days ago I have bought a near new Xbox 360 of a mate and F4 will be here this afternoon.

No trolling with Forza, but a very intersting Dan Greenwalt interview here ont this french website (it's in english with french subtitiles...)

http://www.gameblog.fr/news_25400_forza-4-dan-greenawalt-interview-communaute-gameblog

He answer questions from the community and there is many interesting things to put in perspective with GT5.

There is 350 people working on Forza and they spend the most of developement time on the lightning engine.
Pirelli gave them all the tyre data.
They "spy" the players, using users data to analyse what cars are the most in use to choose cars to be implemented next...
He thinks a track generator is not really interesting because it will be too limited.
If the track generator is unlimited, users gonna make real tracks. That wil cause licensing issues and they must moderate those creations.

Translation...

350 Forza devs, they spend most of the time on the lighting engine
Nope. No company would do that - lighting takes time...to bake. Leaving it overnight would be the thing to do, but they're not that high quality / resolution anyway.

pirelli gave them the tyre data.
sounds good. Apart from the Bridgestone-shod cars. It'd be naiive to think that there would be no bias from a tyre corporation at all...
track generator not interesting
I (Dan) haven't played anything made with a tweakable track generator that's been published online. Or I'm (Dan) not allowed to say I have.

Really, there's huge amounts of possibilities. The GT Tour special event proved this beyond doubt.

if it was unlimited, there's be lisencing issues
And the market for paid DLC will dry up unless they release something spectacular.

PC games sometimes have DLC packs with tracks (Laguna Seca, Okayama, etc). And they're generally pretty good, and worth it. That said, there's still a ton of modded, FREE tracks that are real, highly known tracks. And they're done VERY well.

Are they afraid they're going to be humiliated by the modding community or something?

Just remember folks, lead devs talking to news outlets usually don't say anything of worth.

yea i understand how you feel, I LOVE GT and Playstation, but im really considering getting an XBOX just because of that Auto Vista and JC voice over! When he makes fun of Americans I laugh so hard and Top Gear has such a huge influence on the decisions I make about cars. Gears of War 3 is also a pretty big convincer as well.

You mean 27: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5143936#post5143936 (at the bottom of the post).

Also, I'm just wondering, but how come Forza 4 has Infineon Raceway, Twin Ring Motegi and Suzuka West while GT5 doesn't? And those tracks appeared in GT4!!

http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/Tracks/TrackList.aspx

These tracks should be as future DLC!

Not to mention Tsukuba Short (I didn't even know it existed till I went off the track!:ouch:), and the thing is, its modelled in GT5 but not opened up for use:dunce:
