beyond angry and annoyed at the fact that FM4 gets Jeremy Clarkson's reviews on like each of the cars when you go to purchase them. WOW I would so pay for that add on for the dealer... smh *cryingface*

Only 24 cars can be viewed in the Autovista Mode with the audio descriptions in FM4.

THE GRAN TURISMO RALLY SPECIAL EVENTS ARE CRAP... Racing line would be nice seeing its a bloody game and if I had time to learn what the hell the navigators pace notes were about I would be an actual rally driver, but I'm not I'm a gamer who wants to unwind in the evening, not find myself twisting the controller in two because some bright spark thought it would be 'fun' to take away the ability to have a racing line... SCREW YOU RALLY SPECIAL EVENT!

I had fun running them, some are difficult- you just have to get into a good rhythm. A wheel and pedals probably helps a lot too.

I find rally fun, although the tracks tend to be a bit wide. A wheel would probably help, but for unwinding it might be too much to have to set up a wheel. Some wine might help :).

You mean 27: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5143936#post5143936 (at the bottom of the post).

Also, I'm just wondering, but how come Forza 4 has Infineon Raceway, Twin Ring Motegi and Suzuka West while GT5 doesn't? And those tracks appeared in GT4!!

http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/Tracks/TrackList.aspx

These tracks should be as future DLC!

I'm waiting for Infineon myself, also the old rally tracks .... Grand Canyon? Tahiti?

Thought I would post this in here because I sick of new threads, anyway did the f1 cars tires change to wet before spec 2.0 (visually speaking) when putting racing wets on. If I remember correctly they always looked like a slick even when you put on racing wets but.

Uh, pace notes are probably one of the most forward, easy-to-figure out things in GT5.

Ever noticed, perhaps, that some things the guy calls out, perhaps, correlate to a corner type? It's not rocket science...

No offense, but if you're having that much trouble with those, I wouldn't want to see you on the road.

I have the same feeling, before the update the wet tyres looked like the slick ones, and now they are just like in real life.

HAHA, I'm cool on the road I'll have you know, because I can see where the road actually goes. The Rally tracks are tricky suckers, like a steep hill with a tight turn right behind it, I'm doing the Expert level at the mo, and its living up to its name and I'm sorry but I dont watch rally at all, so what does something like left 7 or 6 mean? I know it means turn left but the 7 or 6? is that a rating for the tightness of the bend or the gear I should be in... if so I suspect that the pace notes are tat, because the car I was using only had 5 gears... so the navigator was asking for 2 gears I simply didnt have haha.

Im cool though, I decided the special events arnt for relaxing too, stuck to doing a few time trials for fun and goofed around on the top gear track!

But I would kill for a wheel set up...KILL!

I figured out this on my own It took me 5 hours to beat the rally challenege  But when they say 7 that mean it is a difficult turn, 1 mean basically straight.

Thank you I figured it was either a rating score or what gear I should be in, but like I say once he was saying 7 I thought ok maybe not gears then... glad you pointed out which direction the scale went too haha

see isnt it better when we all help eachother haha

No doubt man thats how :gtpflag: should be. let me know when you beat them all. 👍

What do you guys think about the DLCs?

A lot of people here think it's a rip-off but I'm buying the complete pack with no hesitation. I personally think it's a great deal for $11.99.

I'm particularly looking forward to see what the race cars will be like. :)

I have to agree you don't get much for that amount of money but i will buy it to I am especially looking forward to the X2011, spa franchorchamps and dressing like the stig ^^ so i will buy the complete package for 11,99€.

Well, the Nürburgring GP DLC alone was 400 Microsoft Points in FM3, 800 Microsoft Points cost 10€ right now on Amazon that makes 5€ just for one track. Here you get one track, plus the Karting space for the same.

Now it sounds more fair ^^ in the beginning need for speed hot pursuit dlcs were cheap 7 cars for 2,50 that were nice prises but they raised quickly. So the prices of the GT5 update are not that bad.

Ever since they added the interior view for the standards, I find myself using it more.

I was, and still am, a bumper view guy...but for w/e reason, I am using the interior view more.

What I also notice is that, the "blacked-out" interior view is less "busy" than the premium interior's...it allows you to focus more on the road & not the interior. :P

On anouther not has the shakeness of the cockpit view been toned down as I used cockpit on GT5P but haven't been using on GT5 as it moved too much but since spec 2.0 I have started using again.

Shaking of the cockpit is realistic, was it that extreme?

I must say I found it overdone to the point of being distracting, rather than realistic. The standard cockpit is an interesting effect though, I don't mind it just having one steering wheel in front of me (the G25).

According to this pic. Now we got spa, then Pike Peak is possible?

Why are the car sounds in this game so horrible? I swear I've played some arcade games in the back of pizza shops that had better matching engine sounds. smh

The headlights are a lot better now.

I noticed that on the Ring. Headlights are 100 times better. High beams look like high beams, low beams look like low beams.

I've noticed an improvement in the sound effects. I use a big fat home theater to play GT5 though. Let me guess, you use tiny crappy TV speakers. :dunce:

The cockpit became more realistic in the way it shakes after Yamauchi competed in his first race on the Nurburgring. So I would imagine the shakeyness is just about right.
