Are you saying they did all that for the tracks which were carried over like Trial Mountain and Laguna Seca for example?
I sure as hell ain't seeing it and I doubt they did all that for a lot of tracks in the first place, if Trial Mountain was considered to be passable and apparantly went through some sort of quality control I can't see why most others couldn't.
Exactly! Some of the tracks carried over from gt4 are almost the same as quality, especially textures :yuck:

well as I said before, Im not doubting that the work to be done is hard, I just dont think we should have to pay for it since we waited 6 years for a complete game and now were still getting it in pieces which were PAYING for. I dont mind paying for new cars and gear and paint, but tracks I do. FM4 has tracks that we dont and they dont have to pay any extra for it. Just because its the almighty GT series, doesnt mean they can just charge us for stuff we were expected to have.

Who knows if everything will be offered as price tagged DLC? We got a few free cars in the last update so I surely don't hope we have to pay for every single track that they may add to the game.

I think that any of the original made up tracks that come to GT5 will be free. Real world tracks which require mapping ect I think will be paid for.

If (correction: WHEN) the old GT4 tracks come back, I don't think we'll get charged for those but anything NEW like Spa we'll get charged for.

Yes it is, it's not a complete set though (like the Jeff Gordon suit), the helmet and suit are seperate.
But if we can wear both at the same time, then that makes for more customisation options.

At the moment, it's annoying not being able (for some strange reason) to wear both the Beginner's Helmet and Beginner's Suit. As soon as you wear one, you can't seem to wear the other. :grumpy:

The new Spa videos are awesome and new paints especially the chromes would come in handy... So the DLC is more than likely going to be bought by myself.

By the way I've seen it mentioned a bit now, but what exactly is so wrong with Forza 4's Nurb? just wondering not flaming!

thats exactly my point, If the tracks were supposed to be in the game, we shouldnt have to pay for them. New real world tracks, sure IDC id be more than happy to pay for it. Weather change should be added to the Top Gear track though as I was watching some episodes today and saw light rain, heavy rain, and also some snow!

Easier said than done bro.

Spa wasn't meant to be in the original release to begin with I think, so that's DLC that's actually not on the disk.

As for other older tracks, I suspect them to be added with no charge, or cheaper than the price for Spa.

Spa was only $2.50 if you break it down anything lower that that is basically free. I think we will get those tracks for free though, worst very cheap. 👍

So I go on to Gamestop.com like I usually do to just check out what games have dropped in price... I go on and the first thing I see is a FM4 ad and it says something about car DLC already... I click on it.... they are already offering 6 car packs... and they have a 30% discount. -____________________________-

Alot of complaints have been about how it was too wide in comparison to the real life track.

well my tv uses dolby digitil 5.1 surround speakers as "tiny crappy tv speakers" so uhh... yea i use them.

How did I guess that. GT5 sounds awesome on a good home theater. Don't say it "sounds horrible" unless you've heard it on a good sound system.

@BWX. My av receiver has died, so I'm using the tv speakers on my Pioneer Kuro (which has a sub out). There have been many times that I have thought I had the stereo on. This speaker system is excellent as far as "tiny tv speakers" are concerned :dum bass:

Oh OK, you're calling me a dumbass because your receiver broke? Who's the dumbass? :dunce:

@BWX...Glad you like it but...I have had it sounding through my THX Onkyo with 7.1 speakers. Tried many a settings...GT sounds are horrendous, accept it or go listen to some real cars/race cars. GT's range from my dentist drill to a powerful lawn mower. No offense mate, but please, just please...

There are good aspects to GT5, sound is just NOT one of them. Cheers.

Why are the car sounds in this game so horrible? I swear I've played some arcade games in the back of pizza shops that had better matching engine sounds. smh

Sounds awesome to me. I hope they don't change it. If you think it sounds that bad, it's probably some other issue. You need some good bass to appreciate the rumble, IMO.

I can appreciate the complaints about GT4 tracks being pricey DLC. It all depends on one thing: is it worth the price? If it's not, then don't pay it. If it is, then why shouldn't PD make money for it?

I don't think GT4 tracks with no graphics overhaul are worth it. I won't pay for those. But I would pay for High Speed Ring quality remakes.

Anyway, I don't think it's fair to say PD cheated us on content. GT5 came with plenty of tracks and cars on day 1. And some of the other problems have been fixed. It's not perfect, but it's not like we got ripped off, either.

I think he means they aren't accurate in alot of cases (race cars, exhaust mods). I've found for racing exhausts it's better to use semi-racing than full racing for a more accurate sound. Pity there's no option to do that for race cars ">_>.

A lot of the race cars sound excellent to me. I can tell if the car passing me is the 787b or a 12 cylinder. The idea of changing the exhaust system in a race car is probably not super realistic.

I know some of the modded exhausts sound the same (though they sound good, they clearly didn't modify the exhaust on all these cars and record it). Otherwise, I think the cars generally sound great and matched if you stick with the original stuff.

Anyway, it's over 1000 cars, and they did a good job making the cars sound good, at least in my opinion.

Well, I disagree to me great sound is accurate sound (I use a high quality theatre system) and while PD got some right, too many just sound like they are randomly thrown in. I've played every GT since GT2 and this is the one thing that annoys me no end.

yes, this is how I feel. Some of the sounds are ok, but many others like all of the standards are way off. A lot of the premiums use the same sounds for different cars as well :yuck: it sucks!

ok i didnt mean the sound quality smart ass, what I meant to say was the actual sound of the game. Car engine noise, idles of the cars, that sort of stuff. I had my ps3 connected through a 7.1 surround sound before until I sold the system, sound quality is deff not a problem for me. The noise content isnt that different, its just clearer and deeper with a sound system, it shouldnt be completely different unless your TV sucks.

News Flash... people just love to complain - especially when they aren't held accountable for the 'accuracy' of their comments. Even if the car sounds in any game let alone GT5 were absolutely accurate there would still be countless blogs, forums, threads, posts all ranting about how "horrible" the sounds are. I just try to not fall into their trap, and just enjoy my experience.
