From the very first post of this thread:
- All cars and tracks of GT4 will be in GT5
It seems so.
Tracks need confirmation but last information is talking about 'an even more comprehensive set of cars and courses'
- more cars and tracks should be downloadable
We'll see. I don't know about tracks but I would bet on cars (they made it fro Prologue)
- 4 driving views
We'll have it. Cockpit View for standard cars still not sure.
- damages for the race cars

Well, for sure many Ferrari and F1 (Red Bull...)
- new city tracks

Wow! Weather is confirmed? I was really hoping for this feature. I didnÂ’t think it was going to make it. Thought of buying F1 2010 along GT5 just for the weather, maybe I wonÂ’t need to.

I must say I am very pleased and surprised by these developing news, it is just what PD needed to deliver. I am however extremely puzzled by the fact they didn't announce these great features at E3 if they were definitely in the game. Does PD enjoy frustrating GT5 fans for all it's worth?

All will be forgiven, as long as they deliver.

To be honest, I don't think this is the way (via the interview) they wanted to confirm these two major features. For the world outside of GTPlanet, they need/want to maintain hype in the "mainstream" media for the game between now and November. To do that, they could have "saved" confirmation for Gamescom and TGS.

I just hope the track editor is robust.
 
Does anyone think PD purposely released this info in order to give us something to be happy about so that the world would stop whining about the 800 standard cars issue.

erm the article was posted on the 15th, well before we found out the true details behind standard and premium cars

Wasn't there an interview somewhere that said they were going to completely blow out all the info at Gamescom? I think the info we got at E3 was limited because of this.
 
If that is the case, then I can't wait until August. Maybe once we know everything, everyone will shut up about the standard/premium thing.
 
If this doesn't turn out to be true, Shuhei and Jeff should watch out if they see a white Porsche approaching... AT HIGH SPEED! It's probably an angry Yamauchisan, ready to give them pain for undermining PD plans! :P

Anyway, hope it's true and cool!
 
Someone posted a link in another thread for a site running the same news. Said they contacted Sony directly to confirm the news and haven't heard back from them yet. Hopefully Sony is trying to put something together real quick to show us something.

Edit: or deny it all together...

From a video posted today or yesterday you could see in the car selection menu that all the cars in the E3 build (Camaro SS and classic Corvette included) have the "premium" tag under the models names.:dopey:
And we've also see a gameplay video of the Camaro SS 2010 in cockpit view ;).

Before any Kevin Butler ads are put on TV they premiere them on the PlayStation Blog. They don't hit the PSN Store for another two weeks or so after that.
 
I just cant believe still that the Sony Press Conference last week, they revealed to us GT5 as the last game, They really did save the best for last, which means one thing:

They know how big this game means to us and to them, they know that a lot is at stakes, they know how much it is expected of it, and that's why Chris, the PD producer is hinting at us that Kaz and his team have been surfing the net to read about the players requests...

THEY ARE LISTENING TO US, THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO SATISFY US AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, AND HOWEVER THEY CAN BEST.

so all of you, shall rest easy now, we can just talk to them, knowing that they are listening to us... We just have to say it often enough so they will have the most chance to read it... Let GTP be the portal between us and them!

I am loving this! I hope they read all of our comments, and get our suggestions to make the best racing game ever, whether on console or pc... it should be the mainstream reference...

Competitions is going to harsh next year with Turn 10 will make a come back, i can see it already. :) All the good for us!

Kinect is gay. I will not make a steer wheel with my hands and imagine that Im driving.

But I will play GT5 too, but I like to see cockpit. Forza 4 will show some of than that gt5 doesn't have, and vice versa.

But Yamauchi should have thought more about including interesting cars on Premium list, not like Suzuki Cappuccino

The video shows the car selection screen where each car is labeled "Premium." There were too many cars in the demo for any one person to have been able to show each of them from their cockpit view.

You know what i was thinking i am very pleased an excited about GT5! I was thinking to myself my brother and I play GT4 faithfully. When you think about the 800 cars we are getting (standard cars) they are going to run on the PS3 system which makes them look updated to other racing games, they will have visual and mechanical damage, and run on the Physics of GT5. This is like a PUMPED up GT4!! IMO i think PD gave us 2 games in 1. With a chance and go back, and conquer GT4 again in high def glory with great new additions. Also with the new GT5 with the new and great features and the state of the art graphics! I also belive GT5 will have DLC. In the end thank you Kaz and your staff for working hard on giving us a great game we can play for years! đź‘Ť

Suzuki Cappuccino IS PREMIUM... it is in GT5-P ;) therefore...



As for racing on Xbox, The invisible steering wheel will be awesome :dopey:
You will need a friend standing RIGHT BEHIND, holding your hands, for you to have force feedback, and sometimes you would not even want to have THAT :sly: extra force in places you-dont-want-to-think-about...

Yea me 2 bro!, however PD gave us the best GT5 version they can give us, and it tickles my @$$ with all the feautrers we have seen so far. :lol: I am so impressed with GT5 so far and i know more is to come:tup:
