Karting ? Hard to imagine ... - what is a kart maximum speed ? - 60kph ? what would the speed sensation?(feeling?) be ?...

Track editor ? - OK, nice but not necessary for me.

Weather ? wow that would be something - physics of 16 premium cars on Nurb 24h layout during sunset, with lights already on in all 16 cars with rain - would be cool if PS3 could process that ... ! :)

Used could all the time because I wonder if Mr Shuhei Yoshida might be wrong ?... how do you guys think ?

BDW I would like PD to publish some replay with premium and standard cars (with transparent wind screens and other "glassy parts"?) using cars nobody saw before - I wonder if all the people who are endlessly whining about the standard cars would recognize which care is standard and which is premium... (something like the placebo thing mentioned before by somebody).

The go-karts you and your friends drive, yes. Real race go-karts are more than twice as fast and does 0-60 mph in just a little over 3 seconds.

how would that add a sense of realism to it? Are you talking about the track map and stuff? You could turn those off in GT4, so it would make sense to turn them off in GT5. But if you mean the instrument panels and gauges, usually if those turn off while you're racing, you need a new engine.

It doesn't necessarily add to the realism, but it def. helps immerse people into the game knowing they need to rely on the actual dash to inform you like a real car. My only concern with it is on some cars like the F40 where the shadows really hide the tachometer making it tricky for some. Other than that, I'm hoping for it, as well. I loved playing PGR, Forza, GTR, etc. games without a HUD or at the minimal settings in the cockpit.

+1 👍

I'm hoping GT5 will have a boat load of options, just to make everyone happy.

Some examples would be; remove all HUD or just some of it, remove driver from cockpit view (can be quite annoying to have unsynced shifting animations), remove driver and wheel from cockpit view, adjust position in cockpit view and so on.

Yep, and probably the first 1.5 seconds of that is getting to 10mph  they are rocket fast in the powerband. And yeah, it's promising to see the revs and speedo turned off in that vid. Such an important and easily implemented feature if you're going to model the cars' dashboards.

Hai Guys, we were discussing in the Premium-Standard Thread, and then I found this.

Do you believe they Improved GT4 Car Models?....I believe Not.

...Proof that those 800 Models are JUST GT4 Models:

This Should end the Cockpit Thing discussion By the way. :guilty:

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Ok, here's the deal kiddo. I'm gonna put it in terms even you can understand.
They designed the cars in GT4 to be very googoogaga pretty. The PS2 couldn't show how very pretty and shiny and colorful they really were. What they did with those pretty models, is they made them look more poopy so that the PS2 can render them. So those big original pretty googoogaga cars that the ps2 couldn't show, are optimized even further on the PS3.
So technically they are GT4 models but not the same ones as used in GT4.

I don't know what pictures you were looking at, but I can tell the difference between the two cars graphically. the GT5 car CLEARLY has better textures and a smoother finish. Look at the wheel blur. the GT5 car you can't tell much from the rotation of the wheel, but you can see the individual spokes in the GT4 car. Maybe you need some glasses, dude.

Ofcourse it looks better, has Different Rendering engine and its at a Higher Res, Even though, You can see it has even the same Hard Edges and Poor Textures of GT4 Era.

But as I posted, IS THE EXACT SAME MODEL, and Obviusly has GT5 Level Wheels.

...Oh and, I dont need Any Glasses, Pal.

They look a little cleaner, but the GT5 cars still look better. And, again, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Just stop whining.

God man, Why so aggressive?

I never said the Game was Rubbish, nor its going to be bad, I was just pointing out that those are direct GT4 Ports, I was the first one to say that it wasnt bad and I pointed that out like 10 Pages ago, The game is going to be pure Awesome, Let me quote it:

It was maybe due to Sudden Dissapointment.

But Thinking it Clearly, Im Really Happy, If I had LOTS of Fun with GT3 which only had 150 Cars, Imagine how will that be with 200 Cars, Fully Customizable, Damageable and in 16 Cars Races with Day/Night System, Listening to my Own Music..

Now, Viewing it from that Viewpoint, Cant Realize why People are so Dissappointed.

And of course I Expected More Premium cars, but Im not angry/Utterly Dissapointed at PD.

As you can see, I, Myself believe the game is great as is. Just that I expected more Premium Cars. :guilty:

So lets move on to Track Editor. 👍

Edit: Just Read This:

Did I do anything Offensive?, I guess Not.

I Just pointed Out those were GT4 Ports, which Havent Been Upgraded, as You can appreciate those are at fulll quality, instead of being Downscaled for PS2, You understand, Right?, now Except Rims, I Do not see ANY difference with the Full Quality GT4 Model, thats what I Pointed out. Ok buddy?

So, If those are the same Models used for GT4, How come they arent the same ones used in GT4, As far as I know, those are Exactly the same models, Just at Full Quality.

So please, More respect Next time. 👍

Because the subject has been beaten to death and I'm sick and tired of people whining about it. I mean, if you're going to buy it, then complain about it AFTER you've actually played it a couple days and if not, then shut up about it 'cause no one wants to hear from you anyway.

So PLEASE, for the love of Mike Rowe, let's just drop this "Standard cars" whining BS and move on to something else.

Wow, this forum is out of control.

Sure, I understand many are sick and tired of the standard/premium discussion, but does that give people the right to be rude?

Just to change the topic on standard cars ( current car count seems awesome to me, regardless of standard or premium).

Has anyone heard about a livery editor on gt5?

*nods his head* yup. so...if you don't want rudeness, you can drop the subject.

:indiff: So pointing out something that everybody was discussing is wrong, and therefore I shall get Offended, or being treated in a bad way?

...:ouch:

Nope, but certainly it will be welcome if its in.

About Track Editor, I suppose is going to be like a Huge Square where you can put Barriers and cones, like an Autocross Track maybe?
