Yeah, and/or change the layout of already existing tracks.
That's what I'm thinking. Maybe PD rendered all the buildings and streets near most of the circuits that we've seen, and we'll be able to choose the route of a course in the track editor. That should make sense with the 20 locations, 70 variations.

So newest news is that standard cars WILL HAVE a cockpit view, but seriously - there is nothing behind windshells!
And yes, it actually looks much better than GT4 photomode: better resolution, better lighting and better color depth.

We must have different thoughts. Doesn't look horrible to me. Looks like that C5R belongs on the track.

Shrink it and make it a little brighter 'a la' your example:

And wow it looks pretty good! I'm starting to feel better already.

When you're playing it in full HD in your TV however:

is obvious that they with put the antialiasing in the standard cars, they will not get it pixelated,is render for hd so it will look as they claim to, the difference with the premium is that those get more detail like brake callipers, suspension down the car and so on

Exactly! In the end people will still complain! I cant wait for GT5

True. The quality of standard cars looks great and people won't go "OMG YUCK. However, I don't want to mention the other argument because that likely will not disappear (and it shouldn't; it's a worthy argument). But hopefully that's sorted out too.

So I'm off for a couple hours, log back in and check the Latest News thread and I see....arguments about standard and premium cars, yet again.

Move on people, please.

Yep. I see this topic being discussed in every thread. There are even multiple threads for that topic(so pathetic). The mentality I have is that both types of cars will be separated into two modes. Remember when GTHD was first revealed? They mentioned GT premium and GT classic. I assume PD kept this idea and brought it over to GT5. People need to start talking more about how awesome the 24 hour races will be.

All man please me and my bro have been talking about switching with each other every Hour for that 24 hour race

I'm hoping it doesn't turn out that way.

Why D please explain?

I don't want the game divided up even further. People complained that the 1000 cars is really only 200 awesome looking cars plus gt4 imports. Now they're going to make that even more pronounced by separating them even more. What it also means is that you'll never be able to pit any premium classics or current supercars vs standard cars. It'll just make things worse.
I'm still worried as to how they've implemented the whole premium/standard track idea.

Exactly, which is why I am completely certain they won't separate the cars like this.

And I don't buy the standard/premium track thing. Even if they are different, I don't think it will matter much.

Hmm i can feel you on that. Im not going to front i always felt Premium where going to stay with premium while standard will be with standard cars but how you just put that i want them to all get along 👍 For the track i saw the Standard cars on the premium track already so that make me feel good.

Must learn to take the good with the bad.

We cannot discriminate news, whether it's good or bad.

This is the place to do it. These forums, in general.

It's just worse when it's "bad" news.

You are stretching that low quality image  👎

Standard models will not be just port from GT4 otherwise it will result in pixelation and look bad than GT4. They will have high res textures, tessellation and other things to make it look really good. Those car models in GT5 engine will look better too because of its lightning system ;)

You mean I resized it? Well I'm not the one who took it so I can't confirm it's not resized but take a look at the bottom right. The text doesn't seems to be resized, what leads me to believe the pic is in it's native resolution.

And although I do hope you're right about the texture resolution being increased and the car being further tessellated, that's not what the standard cars trailer showed us. In fact it showed exactly the opposite. The car models and textures look exactly like they did in GT4's photomode, down to each vertex.

I quote my self!!👍

JESUS CHRIST!!! People are discussing news in the GT5 news thread!!! Call the mods!!! BRING DOWN THE BANHAMMER!!!

Point is, there multiple threads on this subject, which is where it should be discussed. This was news a few days ago, now it's not.

Track editor and weather being confirmed are what should be talked about, but instead it's the interiors. That's just sad. I know I'll be trying to make some awesome tracks, see if I can recreate Imola and the old version of Monza.

That is GT4 pic. I have seen the pic posted by chepu from the video.

Exactly, and what brings me down, Really Makes me sad is those 800 Models wont be as Customizable as the other 200 because they dont have Interchangeable Parts...Sadly.

Oh and, as a Proof that those 800 Models are JUST GT4 Models:

...I dont know You guys, but I dont see Any Improvement on the Car itself :yuck:

I am 100% sure it will not be port what some of you are thinking. Even from above pic you can see, it looks more sharper, the lightning difference and the motion blur effects.

They haven't released any pics of standard model. We have to see the final built.
