Well V8s already sound like they do in the GT5 demos, but these don't have the same audio as the final version though, based on what we've heard so far. The demos still run the Prologue sound engine.

So are you saying that this ZR-1 video is an older build of the audio, the final ZR-1 will sound better in the full game?

Yeap, because the Gallardo sure sounds better than the demo versions :dopey:
It's recorded with a mobile phone though, which kinda sounds like it "drops out"
Better collisions sounds too. Damage is a bit weak though....

So, do you people believe me now about place holder sounds in the demos..... :P

👍

Gallardo sounds correct like V10 should!👍

And GT-R in video sounds like they worked on engine sound depending on throttle position. Very good news! :dopey:

I gotta protect myself from Sony :D

Audi R8 video is not well recorded though, sound is breaking up, so it's hard to tell if it's the mobile phone mic doing that or the game.
The GT-R sound was all jittery as well

The C63 AMG in the R8 video sounds just like the real one!
Awesome sound examples so far, can't wait to hear the 430 Scud or one of the old racing cars, should be pretty epic!

Colour me impressed! I'm really happy with how the Gallardo sounds in chase-cam, onwards to the LFA!

Yes there was definitely something spoiling the recording of the other two, sounds like buffeting with the windows down lol.

In my opinion, the only thing that needs work now is that very synthetic auto blip for every car. But hopefully it will disable itself in manual sequential or h-shifter.

And then, I pulled the trigger a little bit too quick, just reminding me how far gt5 still is from the "real" sound....

Sounds so f... cool. But it is real sound mixed with gt video. Damn.

Well to be fair, we haven't heard that car in GT5 quite yet so I wouldn't make that assessment at this moment in time. BTW, glad you like the video :D

I'm still curious as to how some of these standard cars are going to sound. So far (if I'm not mistaken), we've seen videos of only premiums...

Having said that though....I'm very happy with what i'm hearing so far 👍👍

Nope, there was also a standard Honda Civic(?) being shown. It sounded great 👍

My feeling is that standards will sound good, but probably won't have the nuance of the Premiums. ie that GT-R clip even with all the jittery recording, you can hear how the sound changes when engine braking, and the transitions betwen gear changes etc

Then again so far most of the videos have been driven by pad users using the buttons...

So anyone still feel these are ingame sounds? :D

I'm really curious as to how they are doing the sounds now vs before. The sound engine can't be the only determining factor

That Mugen civic race car sounds extremely beastly, And it was standard, first impressions on the sound of a standard and it blew me away.

Yeah, but it sounds a bit static, which is all I meant. Like lacking the variation in sound with gear changes, engine braking, low throttle etc
They probably recorded years ago.

The Gallardo sounds SOOOOOO much better than before. This, along with the other GT5 cars we have heard, gives me hope. Let's get some more samples!

When you listen to the improved sounds it makes you realise just how important sound is to the immersion level.

Far, far more important than the graphics when you are concentrating on driving.

You can hear this car drive away in the R8 video at the 0:42 mark. Sounds pretty close, even the way it changes gears

I also like how the R8 actually looks wide. I've seen the R8 quite a lot in real life. There is a black one in my area, and it's really wide, stretched out looking and low on the ground. It didn't seem to feel like that in GT5 Prologue, but in GT5, it finally does

I agree. Improved sounds might be for me the biggest incentive to drive Standard cars.
