Timezones friend, the maintenance period happens around noon on the 11th in Japan. It's only on the 10th (Though late at night) for the western hemisphere.

If the update comes after the scheduled down time at 4am BST as what is stated then it should be up in 7 hours and 40 mins from now.
But then again.....

160 off topic post haahah must of taken so long.

But ya even if it does come out at 11pm today for me in the 10th like the rumors (who started them?) it will take till morning anyway to download of it's a huge file size.

Every time PD updates something like the seasonal events or the online car dealership, a lot of people, like myself get it at around 11 PM Eastern a day before its supposed to come out, for example, every Wednesday, I get new seasonal events at about 11 PM, even though they're "scheduled" to come out the following day. I don't know for sure, and I doubt it will come out at 11 PM Eastern(my time) but I'm hoping it does, so don't hold it against me if it doesn't.

Wait so word on the streets is now it will be spec II plus DLC?

Any DLC they plan to release for these three packs will be probably included in Spec II patch, then you buy unlock keys for the content, via the "download" button. Most games do it this way because it means, in theory, if you don't have the content and are in an online lobby, oh, you can buy it and be playing it within a few seconds.

shmog, what I mean is the DLC files will be included, but you will be unable to use them. When the DLC becomes available to buy, you will download a key that unlocks the DLC.

Booooo I do not like the word buy. Either way I wonder what stuff they will have. They had like a year to make cars and stuff and did barely any actual work than fixing glitches so I'm thinking it should be pretty good stuff.

I spent substantial time downloading maps packs for Black Ops recently. Which is DLC.

So thinking the theory is not sound. Not totally dismissible. However it just isn't the case with all DLC.

Im guessing there will be an option on the lobby settings, which will allow players to choose ONLY DLC lobbies, like COD does. 5 hours and 20 minutes to go! :)

Barely any work? You forget they are also working on GT6...

It does seem very likely that the DLC will be rolled out in an update at some point, and unlocked individually. If that update is the Spec.II update, then I'm surprised we know so little about the DLC. We don't know what to expect from it, or how to much to expect to pay, if anything (wishful thinking).

There's the possibility of a further content patch for download in the coming weeks, of course. That might make Spec.II a touch leaner, which would help those poor servers...

Not all DLC, but quite a lot of games do use this method, which I can picture them doing here and building a store into the game....

Vision Gran Turismo anyone?
